Hey, I got 2 proposals submitted, thanks. Sorry I haven't started this back. I intend to as soon as I can remember what was about to happen! Glad you are still with me.
I am ready to start this up again and it looks like everyone is on board. It's been almost a year. If anyone wants to rebuild their character that would be OK. If you want you can use the playtest advanced classes.
No baby yet but two false labors.... ugh. (my wife is very prego)
So work is sapping my will to live these days, and my wife can't sleep and I'm having trouble getting onto the boards. Please be patient as I try to get myself some wiggle room to post.
I haven't even been on Paizo since my last message, too much going on and wife needed lots of help and work on top of that was smothering. But now the baby is out! woohoo! Everything is smooth sailing from here on out! ;)
I got a week off of work now and plan on catching up and getting things rolling again right soon.
Congrats to you as well. I have something really interesting planned for the next job, if you guys are up for something a little unusual. Don't want to spoil the surprise yet, though.
Indubitably.
When I thought Kalum was in limbo forever I missed him and constructed Valind who is also a channel-based Halfling cleric. They're different characters, but they're both channelers and halflings.
This may sound kind of random, but if anyone wants to take a level of time thief here they may, and later there will be an opportunity to switch it back to your regular class. Actually I'll extend that to say you can try a level of anything (any Paizo, or possibly 3rd party with approval) and then switch it back at the appropriate time.
And as a "Player's Guide" style preview, I'll say that there will probably be some fights with constructs coming up.
Also, just as a general thought, it wouldn't hurt for someone to have some ranks in carpentry (craft or profession) to make repairs/improvements on the wagon.
Male Human Factotum Lvl 4; Hp15/28, Perception4 Int2, Fort2 Ref5 Will4, AC16 T12 F13,
I am partial to my Factotum levels currently. I could move some of my skill points around however.
Who would the amulet of natural armor help the most? Rena or myself act as the front line fighters the most. I tend to get into the most trouble. It could be beneficial to Kalum due to his ability to heal. Let me know what you guys think.
I would like to keep the masterwork dagger if that is cool with everyone.
alright, if people are happy with a payout...
(put in as hypothetical in the tracking sheet) then Kalum can buy his mum a small double story cottage by the river (1280gp; lavatory, lodgings, kitchen) for her. She can then get in some family to 'help fix it up' (craftsmen, laborers).
That leaves 200 to send her (enough to pay a stewards wage for 100 days).
Basically; Kalum's mum is delighted to know Kalum (on his dangerous adventurers) has managed to send home a small fortune and is making sure he has a nice home to retire to. She'll get two of his older brothers and their cousins to do some handiwork in exchange for lodging (and the initial gold).
I'm flexible on exactly where the village is. I wrote a bunch of background, but I think it was in my profile and I erased it by accident. I certainly can't seem to find it now, even when I look through my old posts.
I'd love to be able to stop and visit from time to time.
I admit I'm basing a lot of this on Hobbiton from Tolkein.
As a wanderlust-inflicted itinerant cleric of travel and the stars Kalum is unlikely to ever want to settle down. But he does love his family, so I can see him circling around this house and eventually (at about 9th level when the transportation spells really kick in) using it as a temporary base.
I'm hoping the house and family highlight that Kalum's background is at odds with his nature.

I think that for payouts the treasure is supposed to be added into the cut, so because I took the magic items my gold pay out would be significantly less.
What are we waiting on to advance the story? more player posts?
Interesting.
Does Icarus own these items or is he just holding them for group use?
I didn't charge Kalum for the wand because it is unlikely to be used for his benefit, and because he was just 'holding' it for the group.
