Dai is pelted by lumps of ice, the like of which she has never seen in her entire life. Momentarily shocked, as well as incredibly sore, she summons a burst of courage and divine power and singles out Cratek for incredible pain. She moves toward him and makes two quick swings with her mighty gouge.

His first swing goes wide and Chumani swears in giant, "FRAK!" He the steadies his self and swings again, smiling at the audible crack of the weapon hitting its target.

Surprised by the sudden ice, Gideon attempts to escape it's grasp and position himself to better target Asher.

Gideon will guide the kank to k9, sheath his dagger, and draw his bow.

Lucian’s psionic cards slice into Asher, the latter’s body seems to resist some of the attack, but he is still quite cut up by them. He takes a step forward and takes a psionically charged swing at Chumani. Simultaneous to his strike, a skin of ectoplasm forms around his body and a cloying smell emanates from him.

The mul takes a massive beating. While it is impressive he was able to take so much punishment, the last blow is enough to fell Cratek Skullsplitter.

Borras concentrates, a loud whoosh can be heard as a thirty foot high curtain of swirling air is made manifest.

Crakos makes another arcane invocation. Both he and the dwarf vanish from sight. You last saw them around Z12 and Y13.

Rahger continues to weather thri-kreen blows. Despite their losses, the elves do seem to be gaining the upper hand in the conflict.

Daishata, Broken does also apply to damage rolls, I’ve accounted for it on my end.
The white line is the swirling air Borras summoned. You can freely walk through it and as long as you aren’t trying to handle delicate items, are tiny sized, or are flying. There are no penalties for being adjacent to it.

Also to add to the confusion I will manifest Sidestep to avoid the first attack. I will wait to post my action since I may not be standing depending on how things work out.

Chumani, The backup is for Asher's critical threat. Sidestep negates it all (and is a bit overpowered now that I see it in practice. Less so against foes who can make multiple attacks I suppose).

Not sure if this is relevant for the earlier Ice Storm:

Knowledgeable Defence: At 2nd level, a nganga who identifies a spell with Spellcraft gains a bonus against its effects, either a +1 bonus on saving throws or a +1 dodge bonus to AC against this spell. This bonus increases every four levels (to a maximum of +5 at 18th level).

Asher makes a grunt as Chumani avoids his strike. The noise is somewhere between irritation and acknowledgement. The half giant’s blow eliminates most of the ectoplasm surrounding him, but causes no actual wounds. The beam of lightning however, does wound him and only the press of battle allows him to avoid Hamailii’s disruption. The hard pressed human takes a step up to try his luck against the Gulgite instead. Her armor however, proves more than a match. A couple seconds later, the curtain of air shifts to follow him and curls to cover his flanks. Once again, ectoplasm forms around him as he strikes, though considerably less than last time.

In the north, the battle rages on. One missed blow snaps a gythka in half. The remaining kreen dance around Rahger's position towards their real enemy.

In the south, another dark circle of ash marks further defiling, but no immediate spell effects are visible.

Seeing as those two are casters and avoid melee like the plague, it's unlikely. I'll think about it.

Any chance I could have charged Borras? I was looking at it but thought the kank might be in the way. So to keep it simple and moving forward I opted to Ready.

How about this: if you can succeed at a DC 5 acrobatics check to jump over the kank, then yes you can charge. If it fails then you'll be next to Borras but the attack (and the roll above) will be wasted. If you do succeed (and bypass the dwarf's 20% miss chance) then Borras will be paste.

Rennoc falls from the saddle, burns interlacing with the scarring across his flesh... Yet it seems that the storm mage is not quite defeated, he recovers quickly and moves behind his bleeding kank.

HP would be 18/49 at this point, Rennoc is moving behind his kank to use it as cover. I am assuming a large chunk of flesh between you and the enemy would provide some form of cover... Moving to M5.

Rahger moves his kank to AC. Swiftly, he uses Martial Maneuvers to replace Dazzling Display with Improved Grapple. +9 total CMB for grapple

Grapple: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 2 = 12 +4 Hero Point

The defiler almost manages to escape his grasp, but a quick alteration to the movement allows Rahger to barely hold him down.

Rahger temporarily has 17 AC due to grappled condition.

Rahger, those kreen kills are being credited you.

minor plot:
If you hadn't noticed, the elf/thri-kreen battle is kind of a cutscene on autopilot at the moment (no rolls involved)

• Increase your base land speed by 10 feet.

She then moves with astonishing speed just in front of Gideon and his kank (V11).

As the hammer comes down to end the dwarf’s life, the flames that had shrouded Borras’s body coalesce to lash out in one last retaliatory strike against her killer.

Shortly after Rahger tackles the Crakos, the mage begins to utter an arcane word. Before he finishes even a single syllable, his body is positively shredded by psionic cards. He falls limp in the halfling’s grasp.

Ichor seeps out of your fallen mounts.

Rahger's body continues to melt under the glob of acid stuck to him.

To the north, the sand dunes have turned into a slaughter ground of elves and thri-kreen warriors. Finally the last kreen falls as a dozen elven arrows pierce its chitin, and the mantis warrior sinks to its knees before collapsing in the red-tainted sands. The elves cry out in triumph. They now turn their attention to you. As more crest the dune, you find yourselves surrounded. Eager elven voices whisper on top of the dunes of what ways would be more interesting to kill you. Others comment that perhaps the halfling should be spared.

Nadar steps forward, whispering to Thaxos “I’ll get us out of this mess”. He then addresses the elven leader. “Santhaal Wind Dancer. We meet again.” Nadar calls out. “Congratulations on your victory and thank you for saving us from the barbaric thri-kreen.”
The elven chief shakes her head. “Nadar. I have lost many good warriors today and you congratulate me? You have a lot to learn. Tell me then, of your business out here.”
Nadar bows. “I apologize. I spoke without thinking. I am thankful you came to our aid.”
“Do not flatter yourself, even if we owe you a favor, we fought the kreen for our own reasons, not for you.”
“Charming as always, Santhaal” says Nadar and smiles. “Now about that favor.”
“Yes?” asks the elven chief.
Nadar turns to you then looks at Thaxos before he smilingly says “Kill them all.”
“Very well.” replies Santhaal. Thaxos scowls at his traitorous lieutenant.

Chumani takes 17 fire damage from the flames that were around Borras’s body. Once again a DC 16 reflex save will reduce this by half.
Rahger takes 5 acid damage.
While we are still in rounds for a few purposes, there is currently a lull in the fighting. As long as you don’t do anything hostile, feel free to say what you will and take as many non-attack actions as you like when you post. They will be resolved in the order you list them. If someone does attack, we'll go back into initiative proper.

Rennoc stumbles out from behind his kank as he hears Thaxos and Nadar speak with the elven leader and he calmly offers the one thing which could possibly ensure their survival and success. Rennoc calls out in a voice seemingly amplified by the storm itself...

Hold elf, Thaxos has nothing to offer you but deceit and treachery. I however am a mage, the great storm that engulfed the Thri-kreen was my handiwork. The time has come for me to take an apprentice, if you ally with us and assist us in bringing back Thaxos to Tyr alive I shall make one of your tribe my apprentice.

And that is not all I can offer, for the winds are shifting across this blighted land and we have powerful friends who can help us exploit the changing times. Ally with us and you too can enjoy the fruits of change, why walk this blighted desert when you accompany us to the green paradise beyond the mountains?

Dai adds to Rennoc's assertion:

"Look to the 'kreen corpses and find a jewel they bought the 'kreen with. They may have bought you the same way. We seek no power here in the sands - your sands. We seek only to bring Thaxos and Nadar, Nadar who slew your tribesmen at the caravan massacre, back to Tyr's justice. It need not have any more to do with you. We have spilled 'kreen blood today with you - can Thaxos say the same?"
