"I'll do it." Sig says with a sigh. Taking a deep breath she knocks on the cottage door.
Frostine Finnisson
Waking from a particularly pleasant dream she smiles softly as she hears the knocking. Sitting up she calls out, "Just a moment." Getting up she pulls her underthings back on before pulling the sleeves back on. The long light blue nightgown appearing around her even as she opens the door with a look of surprise at seeing their friends there, "Oh hey guys....what's wrong?" She asks, noting the looks on their faces.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
"Hey, I wish we didn't have to bother you two, but there's someone who needs our help and it looks like time is of the essence." Sig says apologetically.
Frostine Finnisson
She nods while putting a hand on Sadhana's arm, "That's okay, we were just taking a nap. If someone needs help, we should help them. Just give me a minute to get Thorgr and we'll be right out." She says before going back inside to Thorgr, "Thorgr honey...Sadhana and the others are outside. She said someone needs our help. We should go with them."
Frostine Finnisson
She shrugs while sitting on the edge of the bed to put on her boots while her nightgown changes into a travel dress, "I don't know. The girls just told me that they found out that someone needs help and something about time being of the essence. I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but it seems to be pretty important. I wouldn't be able to enjoy our time here knowing that someone out there needed help." She says while gathering up their things.
Frostine Finnisson
Once her boots are on and she has their things she goes to him and puts her arms around him. Stretching up on her tiptoes she gives him a brief but deep kiss, "I love you so much Mr. Finnisson."
Frostine Finnisson
Frostine smiles and steps up behind him to help fasten his armor. Once she helps him fasten it in place she gives it a tug and nods, "That seems to be on well enough, was there anything else I needed to grab before we left? I have our bag already." She says as she goes to the nightstand and retreives the key for the cottage, "I guess I had better give this back to Bruldora before we leave." She says with a little sigh.
Frostine Finnisson
She nods while keeping an arm around him, "Yeah, tell us who's butt we're gonna go kick while we head back to Bruldora to take this key back to her." She says before giggling slightly and flashing her friends a grin.

"The blacksmith's daughter was taken by a drider, some half-spider thing," Jerrica explains.

She shakes her head, "I'm not sure that's a good idea. I don't climb and if that thing climbed up a cliff like that, there's a very good chance that they would have us at a great disadvantage. Is there any other way up? Maybe we can go through the mines? There has to be a better way....." She says while trying to figure out how they could help without putting themselves in danger.
Frostine Finnisson
I'm pregnant and have a strength of 10. There's no way in all nine hells you're getting me to climb up something that could at the best lead to a dangerous fall. We're gonna have to find another way in.
Frostine Finnisson
She thinks for a bit, "We'll still need climbing gear. No telling what we'll find inside that mine and it's better to be safe than sorry. Besides...even if we could climb up that rock face...I'd rather have a cleared out safer way down and not get trapped." She taps a finger to her chin as they walk with her nose scrunched up in thought, "We'll talk to Bruldora when we get back and come up with a solid plan. We were planning on tackling those dark elves sooner or later...just looks like it's gonna be sooner, but I don't want to be reckless or go in unprepared." She looks up at her companions, "Is that okay? Does what I'm saying make sense? I'm not saying we shouldn't go after her....I'm just saying we should try to do it in a way that will less likely get us killed....right?"
Dagmarr
"Absolutely. We wouldn't do anything that would put you or your child at any more risk than necessary. We won't be helping the girl any if we die in the attempt." Dagmarr say in agreement with Frostine.
Frostine Finnisson
Going to Bruldora she holds out the key to her, "Thank you, it was a lovely cabin. Maybe we can use it once we're done with this?" She asks before going to look at the climbing equipment. Looking over at their hosts she says, "Thank you for this as well....but we're not gonna climb up a sheer rock face. We'll take this stuff with us because we're not sure where we're gonna end up, but we're going to have to go through the mines to get to them."
Frostine Finnisson
She nods, "We will. If we need to, we'll fall back here okay? I just figured it would be easier and safer to start at the bottom and clear it out as we go up, rather than try to scale something that they can obviously handle with ease. Also, if we started at the top we might have a harder time getting back down or get cornered by something really bad. I'd rather have our path back clear. It might take us a while...but we'll get through it. Thank you so much for everything...both of you." She says before turning towards the table to start gathering up the climbing gear, just in case they needed it somewhere down the line.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
"We'll keep you posted on our progress when we can. Hope you all don't have any trouble while we're gone." Sig says to Bruldora.
Frostine Finnisson
She thinks for a moment, "I wish I had thought to ask for some scrap metal to distract them with so we could get by them. I guess we're gonna have to deal with them." She finishes with a sigh.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
"We could try hitting them with alchemists fire first to thin them out. Sig suggests, checking the vials she had on her.

Not wanting to get too close to the monsters this time and hoping to put a at least a dent in them this time, she concentrates on the earth around them to rain down rocks on the ugly monsters.
Casting Stone Call and setting it in E1 so it will barely miss hitting Thorgr, but it should hit all four ugly beasties.
Eat rocks!: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
Looking a bit stunned at the effect of her spell she says, "Be careful sweetie."
GM Boobear
The rust monsters are pelted with small stones as the mine fills with debris. They head toward Thorgr, impeded by the terrain. Two of them reach the fighter, immediately attacking his weapon.

*mutter mutter*
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Dodging the first attack from the rust monsters, Thorgr can't avoid the second. He swings at one of the rust monsters instinctively.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 10 - 2 = 27; Damage: 2d6 + 9 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 9 + 4 - 2 = 20
Hitting one, he attacks the next with his follow through.
