"Oh by the gods above and below, straiten up." I'm glad my spell didn't kill that one. Few men stand to such a blast. "Today is the day of reckoning for those that chain other humans. We are here to free the slaves and punish the slavers." Mortimer shows his card that he uses when working officially that shows where his origins lie. "We are from Amerys. Now if you wish you could help us achieve our goals even faster. I'm certain you have friends amongst the other slaves."

The room beyond is filled with wardrobes and chests. Just about any type of clothing exists in here along with some gold and jewlery worth 2500gp.
Moreover, a chain shirt, heavy shield, longbow, club, +2 Mithral Chain shirt, +1 Scimitar, Arrows (20), Masterwork Cold Iron Scimitar, Masterwork Composite longbow (Str +1), Masterwork Silver Scimitar, Belt of incredible dexterity +2, Cloak of resistance +1, Headband of alluring charisma +2, Ring of protection +1, Ring of sustenance, Backpack, masterwork (empty), Silk rope, Trail rations (5), and various other personal items lay piled in one corner.

Mortimer Talinth |

Well I suppose the rogue would appreciate that belt a lot more than I would. All of the weapons and armor hold no appeal for me. I have a better cloak of resistance. I already have a ring of sustenance. The headband is nice but I already have one of intelligence. I suppose I could take the ring of protection, but s#!&ty ac +1 is still s#&%ty ac.

Mortimer Talinth |

Mortimer raises an eyebrow at Erasmus. "And I thought I had a hard job. It's bad enough that every civilian thinks you're going to destroy their village when you show up; when I say I'm an evoker they practically wet themselves."
"As pleasant as that sounds, or as interesting as you managing to reach and bite me if I 'had a go' at your sister, we have no interest in taking our liberties with you. To the contrary, instead of taking liberties we are giving them. We are from Amerys, and are here to stir up a little trouble with the slavers." He takes a moment to look at the woman who spoke's muscles. She'd probably snap my neck if I got anywhere near her with nefarious intentions. "And I will give you the same offer we gave the other slaves we freed; Would you be willing to assist us? We've become a bit...shorthanded recently."

Esther Pennycoat |

Now that is refreshing, but how can we believe or trust you, what is your plan and how strong is that party of yours? she replied not really looking concerned by the hand chain nor the situation.
as an FYI both woman are actually stunning, but you can also see that they look like siblings.

Mortimer Talinth |

"We have neither the time nor the inclination to be interrogated, nor do we intend to explain our intentions regarding such a sensitive mission." He stands there with his hands clasped behind his back, apparently not even remotely caring about the woman's opinions of them. He holds quite an air of professionalism around him despite the situation. "You are now free women. You can choose to either flee or help us free the rest. If you decide to help us you'll learn more as we go."

Esther Pennycoat |

my, my what a generous offer. But you see look can be deceiving we were always free but the time wasn't right. Your sudden arrival is just upsetting our time table she says and you can hear the sarcastic tone
See sister the wizard is probably the most dangerous of the two, depending on how much magic he used in order to get to here.
Turning back to him
you just would happen to have seen our own equipment now? I would like to see this mission of yours. Maybe we could use each other in order to achieve our goals

Mortimer Talinth |

I now understand the room of loot hahaha. Imagine if we walked in here wearing it all.
The silver haired wizard doesn't comment on the dangerous comment, but he doesn't disagree with it either. "Well I do apologize for upsetting your delicate schedule, if you wish we could chain you again and leave so as not to cause problems" He smiles slightly. "We saw a room full of equipment, quite a bit of it magical. I am Mortimer, well met." Mortimer is slightly tall and thin for a human, having long silver hair. He wears finely made traveling clothes. His eyes are piercing and curious, just above his small nose and thin lipped mouth. He has a slim, metallic looking cane inscribed with glyphs that he walks with. However if you look closely you can tell he doesn't limp at all, and if you have the right knowledge you can see it's a metamagic rod.

Erianna |

Standing up and rubbing her wrists, Erianna turns to her sister - "Come now sister - these fine gentlemen have just released us, no point in starting to measure up our egos right away, is there?" - her voice is melodic and soft, but her expression is hard and stern, even through the jest.
Turning to both of them, she bows shortly - "Thank you for releasing us, we were coming around to it, but this way was indeed more straightforward. I am Erianna - well met to you as well. You said something about a room full of equipment?" - she asks - "Hopefully it is our gear, which was unfortunately stripped from us" - she gestures at her own clothes, as well at her sister's, a little more than ragged pieces of cloth, barely able to cover their perfectly shaped profiles.

Erasmus Randall |

Erasmus points to Esther with his thumb, grinning at Mortimer. Ooh, I like this one. But tell me, Ms. What plan could you possibly have the necessitates getting yourselves captured? It's hard to perforate the enemies on your back chained up with your gear in the other room.
At the mention of who is more dangerous he feigns deep hurt. Oh, gods, she thinks I'm less dangerous than a middle-aged fop. You strike with precision, Miss.

Erianna |

Erianna maintains her stern facade, and again addresses her sister - "Are we done exchanging pleasentries?" - then turns her eyes on the men also - "The plan was to escape obviously" - she nods to Erasmus.
"Any chance we could get going? I never got accustomed to these... Facilities. So would be very pleased if we could recover the gear and proceed on our way out"
She begins moving towards the door - "And while we do it, perhaps you could ellaborate on what kind of trouble you are planning to stir up with the slavers?"

Mortimer Talinth |

Mortimer pats Erasmus on the shoulder as he walks past. "Not all of us can level towns with a wave of their hand." He takes a look out the door to make sure nobody else arrived while they were conversing, then points to the door with the gear in it. "As for the slavers, it really is nothing fancy. More likely than not we'll find where they are and burn the whole building to the ground."

Malthazir |

2500gp, not too shabby at all! Yes I believe we're ready to continue.
While the ladies are gearing up, Biel comes out from under Mortimers jerkin and begins flitting around, looking at all the interesting equipment. "Oh my, and that's a belt of dexterity! And that's a ring of protection..."

Malthazir |

"I can see if it is dim, but not in total darkness." He flutters his metallic wings.
I wonder if I could somehow give him darkvision. That would be incredibly useful.

Erianna |

2500gp, not too shabby at all! Yes I believe we're ready to continue.
While the ladies are gearing up, Biel comes out from under Mortimers jerkin and begins flitting around, looking at all the interesting equipment. "Oh my, and that's a belt of dexterity! And that's a ring of protection..."
Erianna takes her time refitting the gear - everything seems to have its place, purpose and arrangement. In spite of delicate frame and features, she seems to be prepared for war, multiple weapons arrayed about her and tightly secured, mainly scimitars.
With a lithe spin on one feet, she comes to an immediate halt, her weapon jumping to hand with lightning speed - "I am ready also"

Erianna |

Without a moments' hesitation, Erianna opens the door, her scimitar ready in hand, but wide in a non-threatening posture, addressing those inside - "We are not looking for a fight, but we will be the one ending it if it comes to that - Our business is not with cooks, clerks or servants, but with your bosses. Take this opportunity for freedom, grab it with both hands as this place crumbles around you... And leave in PEACE" - the woman offers with a grim, but honest tone.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Esther Pennycoat |

you know if you had waltz in there like you all belong none would have asked questions.
alright would you mind pointing to us where we need to go in order to find the slaves masters ? esther added with an air of authority and confidence

Erasmus Randall |

And miss a chance to make a dramatic entrance? How are we supposed to strike terror into the hearts of slavers everywhere by maintaining a low profile? My only regret is that Erianna opened the door before I could kick it down.
