Honestly I don't know for sure if it works exactly like that, but presumably it does. The Core Rulebook just says (when talking about sensing other Force users with a check) "Another Force-user within range can try to conceal her presence from you by making an opposed Use the Force check." In order to make that, I'd assume that they sort of sense you looking for them.

An interesting point Taras, the book is really not clear on the interaction, at least not from what I have read.
Let's House Rule this shall we? When using Sense the Force, any Force Sensitive nearby with an equal or higher Use the Force Rating automatically sense the Disturbance in the Force and may either allow themselves to be sensed OR hide themselves from the probe with a Use the Force check, if that check exceeds the check of the searching Force Wielder they remain undetected. Cardis, you are a Star Wars Saga DM, and a good one at that! Thoughts on this rule?

Endregaard - Night 2
The group steps off of the ship and walks back towards their own ship with purpose. The fireball behind them alerts them to the fact that Taras' use of explosives was on the mark, that ship will not be flying soon, if ever, away from this planet.
Cardis - on the Bloodfin
Cardis nods to his allies and mounts the speeder racing off towards the capital city.
Please give me a Pilot check Cardis as it is pitch black here on the planet and there may well be some obstacles in your way.
Praxis, Taras, and Noss - on the Scimitar
The three Sith lift off as the hour passes midnight intent on seeking out the Hutt's crash site.
Do you head north, east, west, or south? East is the direction of the Capital City and may not be the wisest course of action. Let me know if you are utilizing any special flight maneuvers as well as how high or low you intend on flying.
Cardis Rin
That works for me. Honestly, it's a function my players have typically ignored in the past, so it never came up.
As he prepares to leave on the Bloodfin, Cardis says, "Remember, use the cloaking device and fly low to avoid their scanners. Try not to draw too much attention."
Revving the speeder he takes off into the night, heading towards the capital.
Pilot: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Force Point: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Taking the highest die, that's a 22 total.

** spoiler omitted **
Excellent. Done and done. This is handy since I actually have what I think is the last working copy of Wayfinder and being listed on the player's list would make checking posts way easier.
As the group gets into the ship, Praxis will ask. "So, we're looking for the Hutt now?" he asks. "He got anyone with him?"
Use the Force: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
Using the Search my Feelings function of the skill for the viability of going to the North. Since I didn't make the roll I'm pretty sure I have no idea. Man, I am just terrible at this force user thing. :p

Seems fairly good to me. It is a tad concerning that it means more powerful Force users could almost automatically detect us... although I suppose that we could always just mask ourselves actively on principle. I'm not surprised it hasn't come up for many people, since in most games it doesn't matter if the Jedi gets detected by people, but being Sith makes us a little more paranoid and stealthy. With good reason, of course!
Taras boards the ship with the others and moves to the cockpit, nodding once more to Cardis as the noble departs. He starts up the ship, activates the cloaking device, and takes off flying low. Similarly to Praxis's thinking, the Sith opens his feelings to the Force, searching for any signs of danger in each direction. Taking 10 gets me a 25 on the DC 15, and even rolling a 1 I'd pass, so Taras is just seeing if there would be any immediate negatives to going in each direction.

Endregaard - Night 2
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss
Praxis seeks a connection to the force whether the excitement of the explosion or the presence on the planet he simply cannot get a feel for well anything.
Taras, a much more practiced wielder of the Dark Side is able to ascertain that east is indeed a poor choice. As for which way to go that is unclear as only east appears to lead to danger.
Do you head north, west or south to begin your search?

Endregaard - Night 2 into Day 3
Aboard the Bloodfin
Cardis whips through the forest confidently despite the breakneck speeds at which he races reaching his destination as the sun rises.
A dark haze hangs over Tel Bollin - a lingering reminder of countless burned bodies and homesteads. You pass smoldering wreckage in outlying areas as you continue towards the center of the city. The air smells like ashes, and the rising smoke stings the eyes.
You can enter the city proper or find a place to rest on the outskirts. By mid-day lack of sleep will begin to impact Cardis.
Taras Vaskor
Taras searches the Force for signs of danger, but finding only what they already knew, he frowns and takes control of the ship again. "Let's start to the west, and sweep north and south from there. We'll find something."
Praxis Thorpe
"Got it." Praxis acknowledges. Turning to the ship sensors.

Endregaard - Day 3
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss
Night turns to day as the crew flies west seeking signs of the crash site of the Hutt. The scanners pick up no readings of the ship nor do you have en encounter with any CSA IRDs.
You have been up for a full day and night, do you wish to land and rest or keep pushing forward to sweep North?

Endregaard - Outskirts Day 3
Cardis Rin
You awake unmolested towards the late morning. After a quick meal you can head into town.
Do you want to head northeast, east or south east? With no map of the city itself you are not sure what you will find where.
Taras Vaskor
Taras continues piloting until he's fairly certain there's nothing this way. Stifling a yawn, he turns to the others, seeing them similarly fatigued. "Maybe we should rest, at least one or two of us. Enter a trance for a few hours, mull things over while we regain our strength. We can even take shifts on piloting while the others meditate."
One of the benefits of having a party of Force-users, for the moment here: we only need four hours each to recover. If people think shifts sound good, I'm happy to take first, and if we run into trouble, coming out of a trance is easy.
Noss Varra
Noss pinches the top of his nose, nodding, "Rest will be good. A good mulling over is never to be missed." he says with a smile.
"Even with the cloak, we wouldn't want to be taken unawares. Find us a nice secluded spot, Tara."
Praxis Thorpe
"I can take second shift while you rest." Praxis says, rubbing his eyes.

Endregaard - Day 3
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss
The group rests and recovers for the search that is to come for the rest of the day.

Endregaard - Tel Bollin -- Afternoon Day 3 - North Side
Cardis Rin
You work your way on foot through the city, taking cover when you hear a swoop gang looming nearby. This city is a disaster. The administration, if there is any left, is certainly not keeping the northern section of the city safe to be sure.
As you make your way, a sign on a building catches your eye, Skydove Freight.
Taras Vaskor
I can't recall exactly how Stealth checks while piloting a ship work, and I can't find anything clearly outlining it in the rules, but going off logic and looking at Initiative and Pilot as a base, I think it's the pilot's Stealth modifier with the Ship's Dexterity modifier and size modifier added on. The cloaking device apparently just lets us make Stealth checks all the time and applies a -10 penalty to Perception checks trying to find us.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 + 5 - 20 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 5 - 20 = 11 Force Point: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
Total of 17. That -10 had better help out.

Endregaard - Afternoon Day 3 - Somewhere West of Tel Bollin
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss
The ship is on auto pilot and the crew is nearly coming out of their forced induced slumber when the alarms go off alerting you to the approach of an enemy ship!
Luckily, the fighter merely streaks by your position...
Where to now?
Noss Varra
Roused from his meditations, Noss rushes to the cockpit to see the fighter swoop by. He checks the sensors to see if the vessel was turning about....but no, it continued on its way.
Turning to smile at the others, "Wonderful thing, this cloaking technology."
Settling back into the co-pilot's chair, he says "Let's continue on our previous path, that Hutt's ship must be around here..."
Taras Vaskor
Taras also rouses from his meditation, and takes the controls quickly, as he was simply resting in the cockpit. As the other ship simply passes by, he unclenches the hand he didn't know was gripping a control, and looks to Noss. "Agreed. Let's continue the sweep."
I think we were swinging North when we decided to take a rest. I'm fine with just continuing that way.
Praxis Thorpe
agreed
Praxis will look up from their sensors, glancing at his comrades. "Single ship, not much to worry about." he reports.

Apologies. Family obligations and work got things a bit busy for a while there.
Knowledge (galactic lore): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Recognizing the company, Cardis pauses, considering his next move. Realizing that, at the very least, there may be information as to the Hutt's whereabouts in there, he dirties himself up and surreptitiously, yet carefully studies the building.

Cardis Rin
As you case the building there does not appear to be anyone inside. You do again hear the sound of swoop bikes and screaming in the distance.
Do you enter?
Taras Vaskor
"Noss, would you run the sensor suite for me? I'm good with upkeep, not so much with actually running the routines." He turns to Praxis. "It also occurs to me you might want to take over as pilot, since I'm guessing you have more skill at this. I guess I'll just wait until we find something to kill, hmm?"
Glanced at our profiles to see who should roll Use Computer and discovered that Taras is far from the best at what he's been doing.
Noss Varra
Use Computer: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Noss frowns at the display, nodding to Taras, not satisfied himself with the resolution. He fiddles with some knobs and switches, hunched over the controls. Finally, he sits back and shrugs, "Can't find anything of interest."
Praxis Thorpe
I don't have the skill trained. :(

Taras Vaskor
I think anyone can roll Use Computer to use sensors, since it isn't marked as a Trained Only application of the skill.
Use Computer: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Taras looks over the controls, but he can't make heads or tails of how to really use them. "Sorry, like I said, not very good at this."

Endregaard - Day 3 - Afternoon - Somewhere North of Tel Bollin
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss

Do you continue to search the North or sweep back down to the south?

Endregaard - Tel Bollin -- Afternoon Day 3 - North Side - Skydove Freight
Cardis Rin
You enter through a forced open side door. It is clear that the building has been ransacked. Much the same as what took place in the outpost you investigated if it was portable and had value it has been taken away.
Broken datapads and chips are scattered about the room. A wide area of the room was set up with a dais that appears to have been a second floor which was not original and is relatively new construction. The dais is littered with several blankets.
Along that same back wall scrawled in large red paint graffiti is the following phrase:
Fallen Warrior
Sorry for the delay folks, needed the other group to move forward a bit as I an trying to time sync you all, or at least close the gaps!
Cardis Rin
Knowledge (galactic lore): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Well, I at least found where the Hutt's hideout was.
It was obvious looking around that there was nothing left of value, but Cardis didn't particularly care about the credits. He wanted the Hutt. Considering, Cardis carefully examined the room, searching for signs of where the Hutt could have gone.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Noss Varra
Noss slams his fist down on the console, "Blast it all, nothing. Go around again Taras. I'll try to re-calibrate this piece of kriffing junk."
He begins to use a second set of controls, fine tuning the sensor suite , tightening it's signal detectors...
Use Computer, Force Point Spent: 1d20 + 9 + 2d6 ⇒ (10) + 9 + (3, 2) = 24 = 22

Use Computer Aid Another: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 +2 to you. Praxis, join in! Although actually I just remembered the Scimitar's sensor array is fine enough it gives a +5 bonus on checks to use it. So I think you passed anyway!

Endregaard - Day 3 - Afternoon into Evening - Somewhere North of Tel Bollin
Aboard the Scimitar - Praxis, Taras, Noss
Sorry for the delay, stupid life ruining good momentum I had going in this game!
The afternoon draws into the evening. This time you are sure that the ship did not crash up here. Your sensors though do pick up a small anomaly. There is something there on the surface but you will have to land to discover what it is.

Endregaard - Tel Bollin -- Afternoon Day 3 - North Side - Skydove Freight
Cardis Rin
A further search of the warehouse reveals nothing else of interest.
Certainly the writing on the wall had some meaning to someone, time will tell whether Cardis can decipher what it is trying to tell those who look upon it.
Where to now?
Noss Varra
Noss blinks as he watches the land scrolling by, both outside the viewport but also on the sensor array. He's about to raise his hands in surrender and possibly wreck the whole cockpit with his lightsaber, when a small ping from the sensors attracts his attention.
Leaning forward, he makes a tiny adjustment, "What do we have here.... he says, pointing at the indicator, "There, we go there...
Taras Vaskor
"Is it the ship?" Taras frowns at the readouts and looks to his companions. "Looks like just some... thing. Still worth checking out. Set us down." With that, Taras moves down to the landing ramp and puts his helmet back on, only hoping a little for a fight.
By the by, finally figured out what Taras's bounty hunter armor looks like: something like the one on the left here, but with less robe and cape elements and no hood.
Cardis Rin
Disappointed at not finding further information, he considers the phrase painted on the wall. It could be a red herring, but they couldn't leave any stone unturned. He thought about whether that phrase referred to a cantina on the planet, or a ship, or perhaps a story or ballad enjoyed by the Hutt.
Knowledge (galactic lore): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
He'll carefully finish searching the northeastern section of the city, then make his way south.

You land, with the cloaking device still enabled and no one at the site seems to realize that you have arrived.
You see about 15 life forms (most appear to be human) working mostly in or on machines. If there is an underground operation, you do not see the entrance quite yet. You are about 10 hours away from the capital city by starship so quite far overland.
