Taras Vaskor
Taras shakes his head and touches the hidden saber at his wrist, but doesn't comment. He isn't liking these developments, moving further and further away from the straightforward mission their Master had given them. Still, if this was necessary to meet their goal, so be it.
Praxis Thorpe
"I repeat, Cardis Rin, do I have permission to dock with your ship so that I make the delivery to you in person?" The Pilot asks.
Hello everyone! Sorry it took me a bit to readjust to saga edition, it was weird trying to build a character online but once I got past the way point buy works now I think I'm done. If the DM would be so kind as to go over my character and let me know if I'm missing something, I'd appreciate it. I have picked no gear though, I'll trust I've been outfitted for the 'job'
Cardis Rin
"You have permission to dock. I will meet you by the cargo bay."
Catching Taras's eye, he says, "Why don't you assist me in getting our new cargo?"
He then heads below to the docking area.
Welcome! It's a pleasure to have you! One thing I noticed looking at your character, Firce Training cannot be taken as a bonus feat, it has to be a level feat. Just switch Skill Training (use the Force) with it, and you'll be fine.
Praxis Thorpe
Ah! See I'm still rusty with saga. It's been a while, admittedly, but not an unwelcome thing! So as long as I switch them around I should be okay? Great!
For my Force Power I'm taking Cloak from the Clone Wars book. I was going to take Mind Trick, but my will defense is my lowest and I think that it wouldn't be an aptitude he'd take.
[Edit] Aand updated! I think I got my skills and defenses figured out too. Just gotta do hit points then.
Taras Vaskor
"Of course." Taras quickly steps behind Cardis, glad to have something to occupy his time, and to have a firsthand look at the cargo--and its deliverer.
Praxis Thorpe
TOTALLY a typo. Not a miscalculation at all. AT ALL. ;) It's been fixed, and the brain cells behind the mistake have been sacked.
Praxis hops out of his A-Wing once he's successfully docked. The togruta peels off his flight mask and visor, sniffing the air with a half-grin. He's pulling a large case from the storage unit on the tiny craft. There's not much room for anything else, it seems.
As a togruta he is taller than most humans. His red and white pattern seems unusually aggressive for one of his kind, and his eyes are an amber color. He has a number of thin scars on his face; one down the right side between his eye and his ear, one across the chin, and another across his left montral. They look long since healed. He's wearing a black flightsuit that has the shiny bits of metal dulled. It fits a little loosely, like it was meant more for mobility than anything else. One of the breast pockets of the flightsuit has a pack of cigarettes (or the star wars equivalent) sticking out.
Even if he sees the others approaching, he reclines back against the side of his A-wing, watching as they walk up.
Praxis Thorpe
I guess between eye and where his ear would be. Derp.
I have a good image of what kind of aggressive face pattern I was talking about Here.
Noss Varra
Noss leans back in the co-pilots chair, reaching out and flipping a switch. A viewscreen flickers to life, showing the hangar ,the pilot already lounging against his vessel.
Noss switches his attention between the hangar monitor and the sweep of the sensor grid..
Gamemaster the Dark Side
We really don't have a hangar. You're probably locked on to a small docking port. We have a very small ship.
Correct.
Thanks for the once over on Praxis Cardis, between falling asleep early on Thursday night and running my table top game Friday night I have not been very active the last few days.
Taras Cardis and Siar head to the hatch to greet the new arrival. Praxis steps onto the small ship and after a brief review of the goods that he requested, Cardis is satisfied with what he has received.
Siar nods to Praxis, "For some reason you look familiar to me, have we met before?"
Noss, as you sit in the co-pilot's screen you see that there is an incoming holo message. Do you pick it up or ignore it?
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Praxis, Cardis, & Taras
Siar smiles, "I've been to every system my dear, my talents have long been in demand".
Noss
The message priority has been switched to urgent.
Cardis Rin
"Pleasantries in a moment, Praxis. The cargo?"
Taking the case from him, Cardis removes the sword and turns to Taras. It occurred to me while you were fighting the Wookie you had no alternate weapon to your saber. This should suffice. It has been treated with Sith Alchemy, so will provide you with a surprise should we face any Jedi or Imperial Knights in our task."[/b]
He gives Taras the sword.
Taras Vaskor
Taras takes the sword and draws it from its scabbard, admiring the work. It seems a quite functional piece, and the addition of Sith Alchemy could only make it more devastating. "As always, my thanks for your forward thinking, Cardis."
Unfortunately I don't think I can apply Weapon Finesse or Ataru to the sword, but it's better than nothing if I can't pull my saber!
Noss Varra
Noss at first ignored the indicator the a holocall was incoming, choosing instead to watch the interaction with the newcomer.
However, as the beeping grew more insistent, he stabbed a finger at the console to accept the transmission....
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Noss
The face of Darth Wyyrlock appears to you through the holonet, "Good, I caught you in time I trust? Tell me, is the agent who is delivering Cardis' goods presently with you Noss Varra?"
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Praxis, Cardis, & Taras
"The name rings no bells. I am Siar, of the Chiss Ascendancy. These gentlemen and I have worked together for some time now, without question we are the best of the best the Sith have to offer in terms of information gathering and infiltration. It is a pity you could not travel with us..."
Praxis Thorpe
Praxis grins, displaying a mouth full of sharp teeth. "Ah, that would be why." he says, his eyes amused. "Infiltration, yes. Information gathering... Not my forte."
His tongue darts across his lips. "I'm more of an... infiltrate and threat removal kind of guy."
Cardis Rin
Cardis is immediately intrigued. Someone who actually was skilled at threat removal would be highly useful for this mission. A pity he wasn't vaccinated. But then, it wasn't like they needed him after this mission, anyway.
"Threat removal, you say? Skills such as that could be quite useful where we're going."
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Noss
"Darth Kryat has requested the presence of Siar on Coruscant for a delicate diplomatic matter with the Chiss. Instruct her to take the ship piloted by the Togruta back here. Praxis will join your group on your current mission. Is this understood?"
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Just an FYI, I will be busy all weekend into Monday. I will be back to posting on Monday evening getting you all into the Cluster proper. Consider how you wish to bypass the planetary blockade...
Noss Varra
Noss bow his head, "Your will be done, M'Lord." he intones respectfully, then waits for the connection to be severed.
He rises and walks swiftly to the airdock.
"We just had a transmission from Lord Wyyrlock." he states simply, "Siar , Lord Kyrat wishes you to take the A-Wing and make haste back to Corusant...something about trouble with the Chiss. "
He then looks to the newcomer, "You must be the pilot. You're to stay and assist us on our task."
His Master's orders relayed, Noss turns in a swirl of cloack and robe and retreats to his monitoring of the sensor grid.
Cardis Rin
"The quick version? We're going to a mining planet in the Tion Cluster that is currently under blockade by the Corporate Sector Authority due to the outbreak of a deadly disease. We're going there to find a Hutt, assassinate him, and then tell his brother we did it so we can get secret space routes through the Tion Cluster that none of our enemies have. You brought me several poison darts coated with a diseased hat is very similar symptomatically to the one on the planet. Our goal is to infect him with the disease and then make sure he dies. Any questions?"
Taras Vaskor
Taras nods at his fellow Sith when Noss lets them know what's going on, and looks back to the conversation at hand. "When you put it like that, Cardis, we almost sound like bounty hunters," he comments.
Gamemaster the Dark Side
I'll let this conversation play out before I move to the next scene.
Siar curses and smiles at Praxis, "Good hunting the gentlemen. I shall deal with this crisis and attempt to communicate with you later". She steps on board the A-Wing and releases it, taking the ship back to Coruscant and away from the group with which she has had so much success.
Shall Praxis assume Siar's fake identity? Seems prudent enough...
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Siar hands Praxis a datapad with some relevant information as to his false identity before she takes the ship back to Coruscant.
You are now - Rylat "Ghost" Forveth - The forward scout of the group whose talents often net targets before the big guns ever arrive.
Will give it a few more days then push forward as at that point I will assume that the scene is over!
Taras Vaskor
Hah, tone is hard. I meant for that to sound more like he was saying we almost live up to that image.
"Of course." Taras inclines his head to Cardis and Praxis and moves to take stock of the gear stored in the ship's bay, checking over the equipment and making sure it's all in order. I just double-checked the thread and didn't find an answer to an old question of whether this ship still has Maul's Sith Speeder on board. Is it here? Because if so Taras definitely double-checks to make sure that's working.
Gamemaster the Dark Side

Sorry, oh yes it is here and working!
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Sorry holding pattern, another thread issue needs to be resolved before I can get your group to the planet. Should be clear in a few more days ... and Now This.
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Just Outside The Tion Cluster
As Cardis gets ready to make the jump to lightspeed again he pauses getting the feeling something is just not right.
Gamemaster the Dark Side
If another player would like to assist Cardis with the coordinates go ahead and make that Use Computer check!
Cardis Rin
Use Computer: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Whew! That was close.
Narrowing his eyes, Cardis double checks the coordinates, then makes a small tweak. "We must ensure the CIS doesn't spot us. The original coordinates would have put us too close to the planet." As he prepares for the jump to hyperspace, he chuckles and says, "And we have very good means of avoiding detection."
Noss Varra
Noss leans over to help, but sees that Cardis had made the appropriate adjustments, "Hmmm, that wouldv'e been a bit dicey....nice catch, Card." he says, leaning back in the co-pilots chair, ready to watch the lightshow of hyperspace fly by.
Gamemaster the Dark Side
The Tion Cluster
The dazzling display shows the ship enter and exit hyperspace several times, you would all assume, to avoid dangers which would smash even this ship to smithereens. Finally the last jump is calculated and the Scimitar comes out of hyperspace perilously close to an asteroid field.
Make a Perception check for the Scimitar to see if the Sensor Array picks up any activity
Cardis Rin
Perception or Use Computer? Ship's sensors are usually Computer.
Use Computer with Sensor Array if detecting other ships: 1d20 + 12 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 5 = 21
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Narrowing his eyes as he detects the disabled fighter, Cardis says, "There is a small star fighter disabled on the scanners, as well as other fighters searching for it. The Dreadnaught is also actively sweeping the area. Fortunately, the fighters seem to have already searched this spot, and we are out of the Dreadnaught's sensor range. I'm activating the cloaking device so we can pass through the search and blockade without issue."
Narrowing his eyes at the disabled fighter on the scanners, Cardis says, "There is a disabled fighter in the scanners nearby. In case it is merely playing dead as an early warning system, I'm activating the cloaking device now, as opposed to closer to the blockade."
Cardis fires up the cloaking Device, and the Scimitar vanishes into the inky blackness of space.
Stealth, cloaking device, Force Point, size modifier: 1d20 + 6 + 20 + 1d6 - 10 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 20 + (6) - 10 = 38
Gamemaster the Dark Side
Perception or Use Computer? Ship's sensors are usually Computer.
Use Computer it is! I was 50/50 on it.
