Sorry, I'm now really depressed about Fisher's death.
I hear you. This year is ending as s~&@ty as it has proceeded. Plus I sprained my ankle on Monday night, glad for this year to end.

Endregaard - Day 4 - Morning - Outside The Fallen Warrior - Cardis, Praxis and Taras
The Nikto nods, "Indeed he is not. A speeder would be good but most are held by parties who would not part with one without a fight".
Taras Vaskor
Shadowing Cardis and the Nikto, Taras does his best to pick up on the conversation, and he can't help but smile when he realizes a fight seems imminent with the goal of a speeder. He opens his mind to the Force for a moment, reaching out to touch Cardis's mind with a simple message: Call me. (I can't fail the Use the Force check to contact him, as it's DC 15.)
Assuming Cardis responds by contact him on the comm, Taras taps Praxis and falls back to enter an alley. "We can help find a speeder if you need one. A fight is no issue. We won't leave any witnesses."
If that sounds fine to the nobleman, Taras turns to Praxis and taps his fingers on one thigh. "Split up or stick together? I'm sure it won't take too long to find someone to get a speeder from."
Praxis Thorpe
"We should be able to stick together." Praxis says. "Lets... Go get us something to ride in."
He will go down the alley a ways before ascending to the rooftops where he would be unseen. From there he would keep an eye out for two things: a speeder, and a CSA building.

He opens his mind to the Force for a moment, reaching out to touch Cardis's mind with a simple message: Call me. (I can't fail the Use the Force check to contact him, as it's DC 15.)
Do you mean Noss? You are with Cardis... If you mean Noss then Noss you sense Taras reaching out to you through the Force.
Praxis, make a Perception check.
Taras Vaskor
No, I meant Cardis. Since Praxis and I are currently shadowing him, unbeknownst to the Nikto, it seemed more prudent to get him to contact me surreptitiously rather than bump into him or contact him directly, and I didn't necessarily want to just go off and steal a speeder without his knowing. That said, contacting Noss probably isn't a bad idea either.
While he and Praxis split off to begin their search, Taras also activates his commlink to contact Noss at the ship. "Jerricko, it's Colvin. We're going to be a little longer here than we thought, but we've made contact. Things seem potentially fruitful. Be ready to move on our signal."
Noss Varra
Noss sits up when the comm crackles and Taras delivers his sitrep, "Got it. Ready here." he drawls, returning to his observation of the very few individuals out and about the city, from his invisible perch in the cockpit.

Ugh. That's terrible. Can I use my force powers to boost that somehow?
I'll let you spend a Force Point after the fact as we are not currently in combat.
Cardis Rin
Receiving the mental communique, Cardis says, "A moment."
Moving off to the side and activating his comlink, he says, "Dashwind, come in."
Listening to what he says, Cardis nods and says, "Understood. If we need to aggressively negotiate with the owner, I see no problem with that."
Returning to Biggs and the Nikto, he says, "Now, let's go steal a speeder."

-----
Taras do you want to shadow from the roof like Praxis or from the ground? If from the ground please make a Stealth check, if from the roof we will handwave it as the Nikto will not look up.
-----
Biggs shakes his head, [b]"The three of us are not going to outgun or outcrazy any swoop gangs. They are gathered in great numbers and the spice they are taking to ward off the plague has affected their moods in and not for the better.
Taras Vaskor
Nah, I'll stick on the ground.
Taras moves off to shadow Praxis's movements once he contacts the others, his shroud helping to keep him hidden as he flits from shadow to shadow.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 5 = 17 Force Point: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8 Total 23.
When Praxis gestures to the gang and indicates their number, Taras nods and moves to an alley where he can get eyes on their group, to assess the possible threats and prepare for a fight.

Endregaard - Day 4 - Morning - Outside The Fallen Warrior
She states, "...must be desperate to come out here to look for these Jedi. If they are Jedi, I heard that the Sith wiped them out. I'd rather fight you all then them". She stares at the CSA man menacingly.
He points up, "Better be quick about striking me down, our fighters are up there watching this interaction and they would be most displeased to lose another resource".
She laughs, "Self important are you?"
The man laughs coldly, "I mean the transport, they give a womp rats ass about me, equipment on the other hand..."
Taras Vaskor
Taras crouches down at the edge of the alley and looks on. He glances up as the man points, but unless he sees the fighters in question--doubtful--he just narrows his eyes and focuses on the scene before him. Having the CSA on the group's tail would be unfortunate at best, but it could be managed... a fight with a swoop gang, on the other hand, would bring trouble. Taras is certain he and Praxis can defeat the criminals, but he isn't sure they could do it quickly enough to prevent any from escaping--and while it's better than nothing, the sith sword at his hip isn't nearly as graceful as his lightsaber.
He moves his gaze to Praxis's position for a moment and sends out a thought through the Force, a question. Attack? Wait?
Praxis Thorpe
Let's go. Praxis sends back, dropping to street level and shielding both him and Taras with the force. acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Use the Force: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 characters with will defense 21 or less cannot see me or Taras as we approach.
Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Using my re-roll
Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Praxis calmly creeps around the crowd of swoop gangers, looking for an angle or means to disable pursuit by their swoops.
Would it be easier to disable the swoops or the riders?

Endregaard - Day 4 - Morning - Outside The Fallen Warrior
The swoop gang members are mostly on their bikes so stopping them is more likely the only means of success here. Their conversation continues.
The gang leader cracks his jaw looking up at the sky. "Alright, give me their descriptions and we'll see what we can do. A rival gang claims to have been brought down, at least in part, by a woman wielding a red lightsaber. So that means the Sith and the Jedi broke your little blockade..."
Gamemaster the Dark Side
BUMP! Taras and Praxis
Cardis, do you take action or hold position?
Noss do you take action or hold position?
Praxis Thorpe
sorry. I had this nice post written but paizo went down and im sick. Ill have it up tomorrow. Probably going to kill the swoop gang and take the guy hostage.
-Posted with Wayfinder
Cardis Rin
"First of all, Biggs, who said it was just three of us? Secondly, I think you overestimate their chances."
Cardis motions them forward towards where Praxis had informed him a swoop gang was waiting. He examines the situation, and decides to see if the speeder separates from the gang, holding up a hand to tell Biggs and the Nikto to wait.
Taras Vaskor
That seems like a solid plan, Praxis. My main thought is how best to deal with the swoop gang without either using my lightsaber/the Force or letting anyone escape. Unless common folk like this wouldn't know a red lightsaber means a Sith? But it seems like they do... Although with rumors of Sith already, hey, we'd probably be okay. Partly I've been busy, and partly I've been wondering what to do here--hopeful that the swoop gang would leave the speeder guy alone to take him out--but I think we should cast the analysis paralysis aside and go for it. We're the bad guys, after all.
Taras narrows his eyes at the comments he's hearing. Jedi? A woman with a red lightsaber? There wouldn't be any other Sith here... would there? After a moment he casts the thought from his mind. Foundless rumors. We can use them to our advantage.
He probes out with the Force once more, touching Praxis's mind with a brief sense. Ready. He looses his lightsaber into his hand and slips into the plaza, counting on his silent steps, his poncho, and Praxis's Force haze to conceal him.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 5 = 16
Praxis Thorpe
Praxis hops onto the back of the landspeeder, drawing his heavy blaster in one hand and lightsaber in the other. With a casual calm from years of murder, he blasts the leader of the swoop gang in the head.
Flat Foot+Point Blank+Dastardly Strike+Murderous Arts: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
Damage: 3d8 + 1 ⇒ (7, 8, 2) + 1 = 18 Also drops 1 condition. I'm probably missing a bonus here too.
Murderous Arts: 1d6 ⇒ 6
As Force Haze drops, he sneers and ignites his lightsaber. The black metal casing thrums and sputters, emitting a crackling red blade with black specks of static.
"The only thing you'll do is die." Praxis menaces. The lightsaber tip is scant inches from the driver's neck. "You stay here. I want you alive." he orders the CSA.
How was that for bad guy entrance?
Taras Vaskor
As Praxis comes into view, blasting the leader and raising his lightsaber to the CSA pilot's neck, Taras moves forward, ignoring the shadows as he activates his lightsaber. With a sudden leap--empowered with the speed and strength of the Force--he leaps over the swoop leader's bike, a flash of red energy slashing beneath him, and he lands on the other side, spinning to face her with the saber held in both hands.
Swift action to activate the lightsaber, a move action to move if necessary, and a standard to use hawk-bat swoop.
Use the Force: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25 So I can move up to 6 squares before the attack, and 2 after due to my training in Ataru. Not sure if that matters, but I'm guessing it means I can clear whatever needs clearing; if you want an Acrobatics check I can roll that (or you can roll it for me)..
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24 vs. flat-footed, I hope
Damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (8, 4) + 14 = 26
I think we've done a good job, Praxis. (Also, if the Praxis's attack took out the leader, I'll just go for a flunkie.)

Endregaard - Day 4 - Morning - Street Brawl!
The swoop gang leader's head snaps back with the shot from Praxis just as she seems about to recover from it, her head rolls across the ground Taras' opening salvo!
The CSA agent holds absolutely still with the lightsaber next to his head. The six swoop gang members seem to be in shock for a moment, they tense up and eye the two Sith with hatred but instead of fear the anger in their eyes shines through. Their necks bulge with some sort of odd tattoos, perhaps she was what was holding them back from losing all control as they begin to grab for various melee and blaster weapons!
Initiative Taras 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Initiative Cardis (including Biggs and the Nikto) 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Under his helmet, Taras grins. About time. He focuses his pent-up emotions and rage, and lets the Dark Side move through him, giving him strength and ferocity beyond that of even the Jedi.
Dark Rage Activate!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35 Holy crow, so there's dark rage and hawk-bat swoop back in my suite, along with whatever else I use (so I might as well have fun!). I'll also go ahead and spend a Force Point to extend that lovely +6 through the rest of the encounter...
Relishing the power the Force gives, Taras reaches out with one hand and focuses his will. One of the nearest gangers is lifted from his swoop bike and comes hurtling toward the Sith, who meets him with another vicious slice of his lightsaber.
Draw Closer Activate: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 Only to showcase that even on a 1, I succeed on pulling a Medium-sized target.

Before the thugs can move one of them rises and flies forward towards Taras, the thug continues to move past Taras, cut cleanly in half!
The Nikto takes that as his cue to fire form his position down the alleyway! "Take that you bastards, been wanting to do this for weeks now!"
Blaster Pistol 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Blaster Pistol Damage 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5, 3) + 3 = 13
While the blast strikes one of the gang members he does not fall.
Biggs appears aghast at Taras' strike and freezes, "Holy s*@$!" he exclaims.

"Jedi?" Praxis growls. "Do I look like a Jedi to you?"
While he's got his lightsaber blade at the neck of the CSA agent, Praxis fires a shot at the speeder engine of one of the swoop gangers.
I've got spatial awareness, so I'm able to keep an 'eye' on him while looking where I'm aiming.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
3d8 ⇒ (4, 8, 6) = 18

Round 2
Cardis aims his pistol at one of the swoop riders and prepares to fire once they come within point blank range (20 squares).
2 swift actions to aim, then readying a standard action to attack.
Readied attack, PBS: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 1 = 29
Critical damage: 6d8 + 10 ⇒ (5, 7, 8, 4, 2, 4) + 10 = 40
Taras Vaskor
Taras, never one to let such an opening stay as such, gathers the Force about him and charges off after the gang. Using Surge as a free action first, to see what kind of movement I can get here...
Surge: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19 One shy of the 6 square bonus, you're kidding me... even if I maxed the roll for hawk-bat swoop it wouldn't get me there.
The Force lends Taras speed, and he leaps on long strides down the street almost half the distance to the gang. At that point he raises his lightsaber and stands ready to strike anyone who comes within reach. Readied attack.
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14 Doh

While the swoop gang seeks to create space the Sith and their allies give them no rest.

Biggs - Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1, 4) + 3 = 13
The deadly array of blaster bolts brings low three more of their number typo above should have been 4 not 6, the last having suffered a wound does not even attempt to fly past the saber wielding Taras.
Combat Over!
The CSA agent swallows hard, "Yes. Yes I can see you are not Jedi, I suppose then you are Sith. Tell me, Sirs. What can I do for you today?"
Cardis Rin
"We are what we are, agent, whether Sith, Jedi, or something else" Cardis says, emerging from cover and casually striding over with a half-grin on his face, blaster resting in his palm. "Now, we would most appreciate it if you gave us your speeder - and answer my friend's question, of course."

In the meantime, we'll take your speeder, do what we need to do, and then meet you back here. Then we'll get you off this planet."
