Yasala |

Yasala stops just at the gate opening, signals the group to pause for a bit, and does a visual search of the interior without squeezing through.
She then backs away from the entrance and whispers to the group "The light is coming from the left side of the room, but whoever holds it seems to be hiding behind some fallen masonry. There are spots for us to hide on the opposite side if we are quiet enough upon entering, but if everyone hides then nothing will get figured out."
She looks at Paten "I'll head in first, but what are your thoughts? A stealthy entrance, hail them before entering, or just walk in?"

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenhemheb replies quietly to Yasala:
"We have come this far while attempting stealth. A little farther, if only to ascertain whom is there and in what strength, could be helpful. Please, be our eyes."

Yasala |

Nodding, Yasala slowly creeps into the room, squeezing carefully through the entrance to make as little noise as possible, and hugs the right wall to try and stay out of view of whoever is behind the rock to the left.
As she circles the room, she tries to get a view on whoever is behind the rubble.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Dain GM |

Yasala moves forward slowly and stealthily in to the room.
The light to the left of the party is not hidden; it is obvious - anyone attempting to hide behind the rocks would surely know that the light itself is not veiled.
Thus, it comes as little surprise to Yasala, the only one of the company that would not be known by the woman Sabiha would know and - consequentially - be judged as a potential spy, threat or assassin, would be utterly suspicious of the mysterious southern woman seeking to prowl the tombs.
As you move forward the few steps to round the corner of the masonry you see a single torch resting on the stone floor. The light is bright enough that it illuminates the room by the entrance you came through, but you see no one standing there.
"Begone, woman! Or you shall die quickly," you suddenly hear from the shadows to the right of the room, even as you now stand by fallen masonry to the left of the doorway.
Everyone in the tunnel can hear these words, though they are somewhat softly spoken, the echo makes them carry. Therefore, you can all try a Sense Motive Check before reacting. Those who have met Sabiha would likely recognize her voice, even though she is whispering...
NOTE: Sabiha may be alone, or there may be others with her. As such, I have used the lowest modifiers for anyone in the room and I'm adding on any bonuses to that based on who else (if anyone) may ALSO be in the room with you, just in case, though I'll keep those modifiers hidden at this time...
Stealth Checks to remain hidden from your view -
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Perception Check to notice your presence in the light of the torch
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
EDIT: Well, at this point you probably can guess Sabiha is not alone - if others saw you, though, you don't know... but do try to RP that deduction :)
For your Sense Motive check just make one roll - the higher you roll, the more spoilers you can unlock!
She is clearly trying to scare Yasala away without trying to fight her. Even though she's hidden from Yasala's view, she wants to scare Yasala away rather than trying to attack her, though you're not sure why...
However, more importantly, although she whispered, her voice echoed. Even whispers will echo in the stone tunnels. If you talk in the hallway to each other and don't want her to hear, it is a good idea to talk with as much Stealth as possible...
The lantern lights the room; anyone standing by it can be seen with ease, but the sides of the room are dark and easy to hide in.
You think she did the trick with the torch because it's likely she is not eager to begin any sort of discussion with people she does not know; which is why she is remaining hidden until she sees who she does know appear.
She is clearly waiting for people she recognizes. She doesn't recognize Yasala. It's probable that she assumes that Yasala is nothing more than newly arrived traveler seeking to try to rob a tomb (newly arrived as locals would know that this tomb has been plundered long ago).
Better to scare this would-be thief away rather than attack Yasala and get in a fight which could cause complications if whoever Sabiha was waiting for showed up and found a dead body.
Sabiha doesn't know Yasala, or if Yasala has come by herself. No matter who Yasala is, it is possible that Yasala is not alone; better to wait until her companions have also come forward and shown themselves completely before moving in to the light...
Sabiha is a woman who uses her skills as an assassin to fight dangerous men. But based on the story you heard at Temple it is likely she relies more on her skill with charm and seductiveness to get men in to places that she can kill them without hard fighting between them.
That said; you recall whispers of a strange man that seemed to be following you; she may have a bodyguard to help her during hard fighting - it is probable that she may not be alone...

Yasala |

Having been seen, Yasala abandons the concept of stealth and studies the room to the right where the voice came from, both to identify the source and to understand its intent.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 4 = 20
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 4 = 26
She addresses the darkened area to the right of the room. "Peace, my lady. I am not here to harm you or disturb this place."
Realizing that the woman is probably staying out of sight until the group shows, and that she is also probably not alone, Yasala decides not to risk frightening or angering her. She takes on a subservient tone of voice and demeanor, while making sure she is ready to draw her weapon if necessary.
"I am merely scouting for my masters who are meant to meet with someone at this location. Would you be the woman known as Sabiha? If so, please hold for a moment."
Bluff to appear as a completely non-threatening assistant type person (maybe even a slave?): 1d20 + 9 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 4 + 2 = 20
I added in the blue book Bluff bonus since it's still less than 24 hours since I read it this morning
She then calls back towards the entrance, softly enough to not be heard by bystanders but loudly enough to ensure the woman (and any of her potential allies) hears her. "There is a woman here, probably the one you are here to meet. I cannot tell if she is alone; there are potentially others but they are staying out of sight. No one has attacked yet, so I think it is safe to enter."

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Patenemheb begins to quietly move forward, not yet stepping into the light.

There is no answer at your words; no response, only the guttering flicker of the torch on the stone floor.
Even so, no sudden arrow or assault leaps from the darkness as you turn and hurry to your companions.
"Be watchful for companions, but let us advance. I will lead."
Patenemheb begins to quietly move forward, not yet stepping into the light.
"Who is there? Show yourself..." you hear from the darkness.
Yet, as you are not fully in the room, you cannot be sure where the sound is coming from, only that the voice is certainly female.
Now what?

Yasala |

One note: I just turned and called towards the door, I didn't head back myself.
Yasala remains standing in the middle of the torchlight, to show that she is not dissembling or trying to hide in any way, and looks towards the right side of the room where the voice is coming from so that Paten and the others (hopefully) can infer where the woman is.

Talar - via the earlier post - you cannot take your horse into the room. The entire tunnel is only 6 feet wide. Also, even if you had your horse move in to a hallway somehow, moving past the wedge gate is only a 3 foot space moving through the gap at the broken gate is considered difficult terrain for standard humans at least at that square.
If you guys want to go in with Yasala, that's totally fine. But whoever it is speaking to Yasala will not come out until/unless they can see who Yasala has brought with them.

Talar Drealev |

Wasn't sure if we could hear here from outside. Regardless the +2 didn't make a difference and ultimately Talar would want to leave him outside anyways. One day I'll be able to bring Ramul to a fight with me :')

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenemheb decides to take a calculated risk.
I know that my movements are less than quiet. I shall reveal myself and perhaps draw out our quarry with easy bait.
Patenemheb steps out into the light and speaks in a low tone:
"Saibha. It is I, Patenemheb."
He glances around, as if uncertain where exactly he is looking.
But he does see Yasala's movements.

At the presence of Paten moving in to the light you suddenly see a figure rise and step out from the shadows.
It is indeed Sabiha - she is armed with a pair of kukri's at her hips and a shortbow over her shoulders.
She moves forward to Paten, a pronounced limp obvious as she advances, as if in pain.
"Ah! You have returned," she says with an eager voice, her eyes glancing passed Paten to study Yasala with thinly veiled suspicion.
"Other than this one, did you come alone? Where are the others?" she asks.
You don't know much more than what she's saying. You are convinced, though, that her questions are sincere...

The woman looks at you suspiciously.
"Aye - it may be that they are near by to you. Yet we are all friends here, why should they hide?" she says, somewhat cagily, her eyes turning to the tunnel that is largely blocked by the ruined gate.
Then she shrugs.
"As for the limp? Surely your confederates may have noticed it earlier when last we spoke? I was injured several days ago when I did a task, the wound was painful, yet it is not so bad that it keeps me from doing that which I wish."
Difficult to say, given that she is wearing dark clothing which covers her leg. But you would wager that she may have indeed be injured; why feign otherwise? Actually, there could be any number of reasons, however without a proper examination you can not be sure.
She studies you through lidded eyes.
"I am ready to conclude our business arrangement. Yet before I do I must know what occurred. Did you reclaim the gem? Did you defeat the upstart? Tell me; what happened?" she presses.
You don't see any hidden person at this time; but there are large rocks in the chamber. A person could easily be sitting crouched on the other side of the rocks, or several; yet you would not know as you cannot see through stone. However, there doesn't seem to be any sign of trouble at this point.
Despite what has happened in the ruins she is clearly restating her original story. She may not know more about what happened to you, or her information may be wrong. What is clear is that she's trying to have a discussion with you to get information so that she can respond to it properly.

Yasala |

"Aye - it may be that they are near by to you. Yet we are all friends here, why should they hide?" she says, somewhat cagily, her eyes turning to the tunnel that is largely blocked by the ruined gate.
"I am not privy to what your business arrangement might have been, so I will stay out of that...but I do have one question. I am sure that you did not come to this dark out of the way place alone, which implies you might well have allies hiding from us." She looks pointedly towards the rocks to the side. "Let us make you a deal. If we are to speak openly, your companions should show their faces, and when they do ours will as well. As you said, there is no need to hide."

She glances at you with a wry smile, but her response is for Paten.
"You bring armed mercenaries to a private meeting with me and wonder if I come alone? Assuredly I am able to defend myself; as it seems it is only you" she says somewhat sardonically "yet it may be that I have help, should things go awry."
"What, then; the northman you traveled with, or the nomad of the deserts - or perhaps that Yar-Ammonite girl - did they all perish in the wastes?"
She shakes her head.
"You were promised coin upon the completion of a task. I have never heard of anyone who begins a business arrangement in which they come to collect a debt refuse to ask for or acknowledge the demand for it."
"I can only assume you failed to collect the gem; likely you let him escape."
"Very well; if you have no other business then we may conclude this meeting."
She's clearly annoyed and a bit disgusted. If you don't have anything else to say/ask or contribute at this time, she's ready to leave.
Your move.

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenemheb does not interrupt Yasala, or Sabiha's response. But then he speaks.
"The task is complete. We possess the gem and Osan...fell victim to the dangers of the temple."
A slight smile crosses the Yar-Ammonite's bearded face.
Tairin has the gem and Osan certainly did suffer in the temple.

"I did not realize he would be guarded, yet I am not overly surprised," she says, somewhat dismissively.
She notes Talar's presence absently, clear that she can see him, but doesn't regard him as a threat.
"It seems that you do not have the gem... then there is nothing more to discuss," she adds, and then turns to leave, pausing somewhat and asks, in an abstract way -
"Did this Osan fellow survived the fight? If so, he may lead us to the gem..." she prompts.
Via your checks - her question is casual, but she is much more eager to learn more about what you have to say. You can tell her chief concern at this point is the status of Osan, not the gem...
"Why did you truly have us take arms against Osan?"
"We have already discussed this..." she responds.
She's not speaking false, but it's clear she's not giving you any details.

Patenemheb Sitayet |

"You are not surprised that a common thief would have guards? And many of them? I do believe that, since I believe that you have not been forthcoming with answers. Are you now attempting to cheat us of the gold also? I have no further interest in discussing the matter of Osan until that is resolved."
She looks back at Paten, pausing a moment, as if debating something internally.
"The gold was to be paid for the gem itself? If you have the gem I was to take it and fence it for you after offering your cut. Do you have the gem?" she says, obviously ignoring your comments about Osan's guards.
Via your Sense Motive; you believe she's dishonest. She's asking about the gem, but only after she started leaving. A dishonest person would be interested in seeing/knowing the location of the gem - then (likely) kill you outright and take the gem rather than pay you.
She hasn't even been pushing for the gem as much as Osan; she's only asking about it now, you think, because she's trying to get YOU to spill details about Osan.
One other thing; she knows you travel with Tairin, Samir, Bjeorn and Farrokh - none of those people are here. It may be they are near here, or seeking to ambush you. You think she's trying to lure the rest of your party in the room.
However, you'd wager she knows that whatever happens she either needs to leave now so as not to spill information, or kill your company outright so you don't rat her out.
If she can escape you may not see her again personally, but she'll likely complicate your life somehow.
That said - game's to you...

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenemheb turns to her, to absorb her attention from her encirclement.
"You will *not* depart before you give satisfactory answers to my questions.", he says sternly, ensuring that his companions can hear him clearly.

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenemheb Initiative: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (14) - 4 = 10

Tairin of the Veils |

We've never done individual initiative in this game unless there have been solo missions or the GM has expressly asked for them. Instead of averaging out the modifiers as per norm, I'll average out the checks, and get your group/party initiative check. For future reference, the present group initiative modifier is +3 (this only includes the 4 pcs involved in this skirmish).
The average (per the checks here) comes to 15 for the party. The enemy got 18, so the enemy wins.

At this, the woman Sabiha moves up fast to strike out at Paten.
Draw swords as part of a Move Action and moves to I:10 but can only use one sword on Paten at this time, however -
Attack on Paten -
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22

Attack on Yasala from F:13 -
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
If it hits -
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Second Arrow Shot -
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
If it hits -
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
EDIT: Paten, you were sliced, but not bad - you took only 4 Damage - as a Free Action, please toss up a Perception Check at this time.
The blade of her second Kukri has a strange substance on it; you'd wager that her off-hand weapon is likely coated with poison.
Yasala - the first arrow hits you soundly for 9 Damage, but the second skids off the floor next to you - not sure at your current DR, so please let me know.
NOTE: To confirm a few things. One, as you can probably guess by the stats, when the enemy gets their "Full Attack" they will be getting multiple attacks based on their BAB. Two; the enemy on the rocks shooting at Yasala is behind a ten foot pile of rocks. Based on his position, he has Partial Cover, likely because the rocks are sloped. The DC to ascend this position as it's considered 15 because of this - Any surface with adequate handholds and footholds (natural or artificial), such as a very rough natural rock surface or a tree, or an unknotted rope, or pulling yourself up when dangling by your hands. - however, it's lowered to a DC of 10 because the rocks are not that steep of an angle. You should be able to move up the rocks relatively easily, but because you need to make a check, it will prevent you from ascending the rocks and attacking at the same time (unless you make an amazing Climb Check).
Bjeorn: As you recall, your armor had been destroyed by the creature you fought in the desert; you did not get any new armor, please remember that via the combat.
To All: I'm so sorry for my absence. I've been having some complications in my personal life which have compromised my posting. While that happens to everyone, I should have at least let you guys know what's up via here or Discord during the downtime and I didn't. I am very sorry for that, or any other inconvenience it may have caused.

DR is 3, so I take 6 damage putting me at 36. I finally put it into my header so we don't have to look it up every time.
Also, curious why we couldn't ascend and attack, as climbing is normally part of the move action which would allow a standard action to still be taken

Talar Drealev |

Talar launches into action, bow already in hand as he skids across the ground and looses an arrow at the enemy archer, knowing he's the only party member able to easily put pressure on him. The arrow lands and erupts into a cloud of smoke, destroying his visibility. "I have the archer!" He cries.

I honestly forgot that - sorry for the confusion; my head wasn't in a good place lately... but, on the plus side, you did hit your target.
"I have the archer!" He cries.
Any attacks made against civilized are at +4 to hit and damage.
Any attacks made against nomads are at +2 to hit and damage.
Even with the partial cover, the shot still hits him and the archer hisses out in rage...
Does Yasala get a flanking bonus for her attacks with Patenemheb's repositioning?
Good question - in PbP games it is annoying to have to wait out a whole day or something just for an ally who may/may not be able to post to move just for bonuses like cover. For now, it won't matter given that she hit - but I think it the future I'm going to rule that if a player indicates it in their post something like - I'll move to X and attack, but if someone else is willing to move first, I'll hold action to attack with Flanking bonuses" - that way they can post their action as it is; and if no one else moves, we see it, and if someone else moves first, they can "hold action" util it happens, even though they move first. Point is; it needs to be stated in their action that they're waiting for Flanking Bonuses.
But again, as she already hit, it should be fine...
Knowing that his armour would not protect him, Bjoern still has his shield.
Moving forward and using his blade he attacks the woman.
"Poison is for wimps!"
Bjeorn's strike hits hard on the woman, but - despite the brutal attacks of both and Yasala, she's still standing...
Enemy's move come soon; but I need to leave for work. Sorry I didn't check sooner, I did last night and the board was down. I'll have their actions up as soon as I can today.

Tairin of the Veils |

(I know I have made some checks in an earlier post (before I left for my trip). This is simply to gather as much information as Tairin can during her interlude with Priestess Jelah.)
Diplo to info gather: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 (add+2 if Khazistani)
Having made her way as covertly as possible to the temple - possibly at sunset/dusk when there are more shadows but less nightly threats on the streets and back alleys? (stealth and disguise checks were made in the earlier posting.) She may take one of the male estate servants with her as protection - one who can be stealthy and keep quiet, yet can handle a weapon.
In a voice unlike her own (lower and huskier), her body and head covered by the dark, common, long hooded cloak, Tairin sought a private audience with Mother Jelah once she discreetly/quietly entered the temple grounds.
If/When audience is granted...
Once she was assured they were in private chambers, Tairin pushed back her hood and shook out her long ebony hair; untying the ribbon about her neck and revealing herself. Smiling up at the head priestess, Tairin explained her artful entrance in quiet voice, "Good eve, dear Mother Jelah. I wish for the city to believe I am dead for the present time. Thus my apologies for this simple disguise. I thank you for the audience. May we sit and speak? Perhaps privately bathe, if that is your wish?" Tairin gave the religious woman a warm, cordial smile, hoping the request would be happily granted/accepted.
Once they are set up some place away from prying ears and eyes...Dain GM, I'll leave that to your discretion.
Still in lowered voice, for their ears only, "Most recently I have come across a malevolent creature possessing great power and I wish to know more. It appears to have been summoned by a dark sorcerer and his faithful and can move from its realm into our world through an opened portal in a desecrated temple. I have done what I can to remove a perverse idol head from this once sacred place, yet there is a taint which lingers and displeases the primary god. If I describe the creature to you, could you tell me if you have heard of such a creature and how I could be rid of it or close the portal between worlds? If the portal cannot be closed, I must know of a way to destroy it or imprison it for good..." Tairin's low voice faded to silence as she waited for Jelah to say something or show she would aid her.
Once Jelah has spoken...or acquiesced..
Tairin then began to carefully and quietly describe what it looked like to Jelah, "A shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over its tunnel-filling front..."
"My people and I slew its dark master and yet it remains; hidden for now within its endless, cold portal. It may rise again and we cannot permit this to happen. How can I stop it, be ride of it or imprison it for good, dear Mother Jelah? I seek your wise counsel at this juncture." Tairin dutifully and reverently bowed her head toward the elder priestess in an effort to win more favour with the beautiful woman and gain greater knowledge.
Tairin wants to know what she can about the ooze creature - the Yadaran Shoggoth they had fought and barely survived. Even though the evil dark Yadaran caster and the cultists which brought it forth are dead, it still remains as does the cold, magic sucking portal in the Moon temple.

While the woman clearly is unsure as the nature of Paten, Yasala and Talar, she is quite clear that Bjeorn is a Barbarian, and it seems she has a particular issue with Barbarians in general...
Thus, while Yasala did do more damage to her, she elects to make a Full Attack on Bjeorn...
NOTE: Favorite Enemy Bonus on Bjeorn being Factored in at +4]
Right Hand Attack
Attack One
1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 4 = 23
If it hits -
1d4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 4 = 9
Attack Two
1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 4 = 16
If it hits -
1d4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 4 = 9
Left Hand Attack
1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 11 + 4 = 27
If it hits -
1d4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 4 = 6
Attack Two
1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 4 = 13
If it hits -
1d4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 4 = 6
The archer, crouched in the shadows, takes a shot on Yasala to disrupt her -
Attack on Yasala with bow -
1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 1 = 20
IF it hits -
1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 = 11
At this, the man drops his bow, as a Free Action and uses his move action to jump with Acrobatics from his position to land near the ground and help his companion -
Acrobatics Check to Jump forward from a Standing Jump for a jump of 10 feet; DC is 10 but x2 for Jumping without running start -
NOTE: Subject has a +4 Bonus to all Acrobatics Checks made for Jumping
1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 4 = 24
Second Acrobatics Check to try to negate Falling Damage and not land prone vs DC of 15 -
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Edit: Bjeorn, I'm not positive what your AC is at this time; I believe you have +1 for your Dexterity, +2 for your Shield netting you a 13? I'm not positive, though, so if you could confirm that, it would be helpful as it may mean she may have missed you with the last strike...
If she hit all four shots, you take 40 - 4 damage for your shield's DR for a net of 36 (I believe you have a DR of +1 for the shield?). Also, I will need a Fortitude Save at this time for the poison that her off-hand weapon did.
Yasala, you did better; you only suffered a total of 11 - 3 for DR (I believe you have a DR of 3 at this time) so you only took 8 Damage.
Damage Taken for Barbarian Falling Damage - subtract 1 Point for DR (possibly negating Falling Damage and being Prone -
1d6 ⇒ 5
EDIT: While he had the bonus to Jumping he did not have it use for Falling and it seems that, despite his DR, he took at least 1 Point of Damage (technically 4) and is now Prone
The shots were brutal and bloody; yet now it is your turn...
Lots of Coding/Notes so I'll sum up -
Bjeorn: You now have 10 HP and need to make a Fortitude Save
Yasala: You now have 28 HP and you have a Prone Target next to you

- Regarding Your Meeting with Mother Jelah -
Mother Jelah is certainly open the idea of Tairin electing to use her charm and seduction with her, and responds in kind, with equal enthusiasm, clearly enjoying the presence of this young beauty before her.
She gives you a knowing smile when you suggest you wish the tales of your health to be hidden from the public, and does not seem to be overly concerned as to why you should wish this, indeed, she does not even question you about it.
However, when talk turns to the creature, much of her sexual playfulness evaporates.
Tairin; someone of Jelah's rank and station should not be bothered much by this issue. That is; her training and discipline should be so good that she should theoretically be able to ignore her personal problems so she can fully concentrate on giving her client pleasure. The fact that she is not able to do so, or having trouble doing so, suggests she is truly upset over things.
"I do not wholly know the powers of such a beast; yet it is said that dark gods have walked the earth before the dawn of man, and demons as well..." she says with a grim, distracted voice.
"Yet such creatures have powers beyond the lot of mere mortals. To slay such creatures with steel alone all tales claim to be false; for only weapons enchanted, blessed - or cursed - by great power can hope to overcome such a threat..." she added, as if unsure.
She looks hard at you.
"I fear you may not have not have slain the creature at all. For unless your weapons had the help of some benign sorcerer or some powerful god, I do not believe it was destroyed..." she adds.
She doesn't know your weapons were in fact blessed; but I assume you'd tell her that after her comment. In which case, she'll admit that, if your weapons are blessed, that you have clearly defeated this thing. For all tales say that bold men armed with such weapons have been known to vanquish monstrous threats and destroy even demons, if armed with sacred weapons in general.
I'm not sure if you'd tell her the nature of the weapons blessings, though (though you are certainly free to, I just don't know if you would; but you don't think it would be a problem, you may have other things you want to discuss instead). Also, I don't want to guess what other details you'd lay out at this point; but it's clear she is now very impressed with your abilities if you do indeed have such weapons at your disposal. So much so that she is now no longer looking at you like a "Cougar" might look at a young person they wish to seduce, but rather, she is looking at you with some new-found respect as if you may be more powerful. In short; the mentioning of the blessed weapons and your defeat of this creature has seriously boosted your reputation with her.
However; she doesn't know the nature of the blessings or any other details at this time, but as your status is now elevated with her, you won't need to make any further Diplomacy Checks with her. You ask her questions and she's going to do her best to answer you as openly and honestly as possible; she is now considered to be Helpful to you via any Diplomacy Checks with her in the future and this condition will remain unless you do something blatantly negative to harm her.
What do you wish to discuss at this time?

Yasala |

Feeling the sting of the archer's arrow, Yasala begins to turn around but when she sees the man prone next to her decides to continue to concentrate on her original target (the woman)
Attack + FE + Flanking - PA: 1d20 + 10 + 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 4 + 2 - 2 = 23
Damage + FE + PA: 2d6 + 6 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 + 4 + 6 = 24
After a brutal swipe, she continues to keep an eye on the man behind her in case he tries to stand up.
Here's the aoo on the archer if he tries to stand or move away.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 (+2 if civilized, +4 if decadent)
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16 (+2 if civilized, +4 if decadent)

Talar Drealev |

Talar narrows his eyes, arrow on the string as he waits for the former archer to get back to his feet.
Delaying until right after the archer stands so I don't take prone penalties, then full attacking him.
Shortbow (PBS, RS, DA): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 28
Damage (PBS, DA): 1d6 + 2 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 3 + 4 = 14
Confirm (PBS, RS, DA): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 24
Additional Crit Damage (PBS, DA): 1d6 + 2 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10
Shortbow (PBS, RS, DA): 1d20 + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 25
Damage (PBS, DA): 1d6 + 2 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 3 + 4 = 11
Any attacks made against civilized are at +4 to hit and damage.
Any attacks made against nomads are at +2 to hit and damage.
Wow, what a vicious turn. That looks like a minimum of 35 damage, even more if he's civilized or nomad.

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Seeing the fight grow far more dangerous for Bjoern, Patenemheb lashes out with his fine staff at Sabiha.
Mwk Long Staff vs Sabiha with flanking: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Bjoern Ghostbear |

Edit: Bjeorn, I'm not positive what your AC is at this time; I believe you have +1 for your Dexterity, +2 for your Shield netting you a 13? I'm not positive, though, so if you could confirm that, it would be helpful as it may mean she may have missed you with the last strike...
If she hit all four shots, you take 40 - 4 damage for your shield's DR for a net of 36 (I believe you have a DR of +1 for the shield?). Also, I will need a Fortitude Save at this time for the poison that...
Bjoerns AC without armor is 10 +1 Dex +2 shield +2 Combat expertise = 15
So three hits. Damage reduction /1 means 21 damage
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Bjoern Ghostbear |

Ok third try to post. Bjoerns AC is 16 +1 for Dex, +2 for shield, +2 for combat expertise.+1 natural armor So just 2 hits
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Bjoern looks down at the puny wounds and swings his blade again.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 301d10 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

Dain GM |

Sorry for the delay, guys. I've been really struggling with some personal issues, so I'm going to do my best to get things on point.
1. Your combined efforts manage to drop the girl - however, as you do, as a Free Action, she lets out an extremely loud shriek.
NOTE: This strikes you odd - almost as if she was calling for help; but considering this part of town would be bereft of anyone but maybe some beggars and thieves - and even THEY were avoiding this temple by all accounts, you don't know who she COULD be calling for - but it did strike you as odd...
2. Yasala hits the bodyguard with a heavy hit, he's up, but he suddenly goes into a bloody rage. At which point you realize that you might be able to drop him, but he'll still get his attacks (I had all the details for the combat map up, including the barbarian's sheet, but my computer "closed down" for a late-night system reset and all the data disappeared. I still have it, but it will take time to find it and put up his numbers and I'm near late for work; I'll have it up when I get home from work after morning shift).
3. Bjeorn - two things; one, your Fortitude Save posted at 11, and even without looking at my notes, that does fail - unless you have a bonus to poison? The other thing is, while you can use Combat Expertise, that does't formally kick-in until it is your Attack and you can Declare you're using it. In short, since she went first and there was no indication you had it on, you couldn't formally be using it. Don't worry, though - you're still up; but it's one of those things that I need to know you're using before attacking - I mean, if she hit by 1 Point over your AC and you say afterwards you were using it vs. she hit by 10 over your AC and using it won't matter, you might not bother to use it. Not saying that you would do that, but it's why the rule was built that way.
In short, if you want to use Combat Expertise I need to know you've got it up before the enemy attacks, and since she beat your Initiative, it wasn't up.
