Botting for Talar
Seeing that the cluster of men at the bottom of the stairs is not something he can hit with any ease, he turns his attacks on those enemies that are moving toward Yasala.
Attack 1 on Guard N:18
1d20 + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 = 11
If it hits –
1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 4 + 1 = 12
Attack 2 on Guard O:18
1d20 + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 11 - 2 - 2 + 1 = 9
If it hits –
1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 4 + 1 = 8
EDIT: He missed both shots - and his second shot was a natural 1; he dropped his bow by his feet. He can pick it up as a Move Action on his next turn.
Enemy action up soon.

Dain GM |

The enemy near to Yasala moves up to attack –
Enemy at P:14 attacks –
1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 2 = 19
If it hits –
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Enemy at O:14 attacks –
1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 = 18
If it hits –
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Enemy at O:13 attacks –
1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 20
If it hits –
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Then, the apparent leader of the group lets out a harsh cry –
”Hold! He is coming…”
The men around him do not advance toward Bjeorn, but he raises his hand and another bolt rushes toward Bjeorn…
Ranged Touch Attack
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
If it hits –
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
EDIT: Bjeorn - please make another Fortitude Save.
Yasala - after your DR you suffer a total loss of 18 HP.
Everyone - As a Free Action please make a Perception Check. Also, it’s your move…

Yasala |

Yasala drops her bow (free action) and draws her sword (swift action from Quick Draw).
Letting out a yell she swings at the enemies in front of her.

Both men were wounded and they fall screaming to the ground at your feet as your blade slaughters them.
You notice a chill in the air, and a strange, sickly smell seems to shift in the air...

Sabra's Perception via scent: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35

Tairin, with Sabra inside the shawl pouch, made a quiet, swift move back behind Osan's mercenary (or is that Osan, not sure?) at I:09 and waits in a defensive stance; scorpion whip in hand; her song of courage still lingering and inspiring her allies.
Stealth to move without notice: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

I did not subtract the ray of enfeblement. I was not sure what it was.
Damage was 6 strength 2x Power attack, Magic weapon, Bardic performance and Gladiator.
To confirm - you can do double damage with the sword while carrying the shield?
Also - you succeeded again; so you only take half damage again. That is, unfortunately, a total of 2+3.5 Strength Penalty for a total loss of 5 to Strength (the .5 is in case he does it a third time and he hits and he does an odd number and you save - in which case, assuming that happens, I will round up.
Talar indicated he would continue to shoot bad guys.
I think that, based on his Discord Post, that he will be AFK for a bit so I will both him now.
Stooping, he bends as picks up his bow as a Move Action and fires a shot at the enemy at O:13.
He cannot use Rapid Shot as he cannot attack as a Full Attack action - so he gets only shot, though I assume he's still using Deadly Aim -
1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 - 2 = 15
IF it hits -
1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 4 + 1 = 13
EDIT: The shot manages to slay the man next to Yasala.
Ossan calls his mercenary up from the doorway to aid in the shooting of the enemies on the plain near to Yasala. Samir, seeing no other alternative, also does what he can to shoot the enemies on the plain...
Mercenary Attack to the enemies near to Yasala at M:15.
Attack -
1d20 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 3 = 12

The leader, looking up at Bjeorn and seeing that the warrior is seemingly resisting the best effects of his damage scowls.
He calls out the chant in a loud voice and those near to him raise their voice and chant with him as well until the valley seems to be echoing with the hideous words.
The men near to Yasala do not move up to attack her; instead, they stoop to tear into the flesh of their fallen comrades and seem to feasting on the bodies of the dead, even as others who had stood near to the path leading to the stairs have decided to turn from that path and move closer to help their allies and also stoop to feast on the dead.
It is difficult to gauge why they do this; what power or strength that they hope to draw from the slaughtered members of their gristly cult - but it is certain that they do it for a reason rather than press their attack...
Meanwhile, the leader - seeing Bjeorn above him, raises his hand with an air of impatience and a dark bolt of acid seems to streak from it to strike Bjeorn unerringly in the center of his chest.
Acid Arrow - no Save and no Attack Roll necessary.
DR does not effect the Acid Arrow's Damage -
2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
EDIT: Bjeorn, you have taken 6 Damage directly as the armor will not protect from the acid. Also, the acid continues to burn and will likely burn you for at least one extra round, possibly more...
Along with the growing presence of the hideous smell behind you, you believe you can hear the sound of a strange scraping, or sliding - as if some hideous slime is being forced through stone that struggles to hold its dimensions.
The sound seems very close to the entrance of the temple behind you; but even if you turn and look, you cannot see anything in the dark door of that grim opening...

Bjoern Ghostbear |

Feeling the burn of the acid Bjoern yelps in pain.
Why double? Str 22 = +6 Power attack is +2 damage at level 1, +4 at level 4.
Second usually Ray of enfeeblement do not stack. Only the higher one counts.
Quote:A coruscating ray springs from your hand. You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to strike a target. The subject takes a penalty to Strength equal to 1d6+1 per two caster levels (maximum 1d6+5). The subject’s Strength score cannot drop below 1. A successful Fortitude save reduces this penalty by half. This penalty does not stack with itself. Apply the highest penalty instead.
And Acid arrow needs usually an attack roll as well.
If your magic works differently that is fine, I am just wondering.
Third does this chap have a precise shot? Bjoern is surrounded by enemys, is standing above him so he should have at least some cover. Together with combat expertise Bjoerns touch AC is at the moment 14

My apologies - I've had a long weekend and - apparently - my inability to read things clearly/completely has been an issue, and not just with you, unfortunately. I wasn't clear on how your damage worked (I didn't realize you were using Power Attack at this time); in any case, I apologize for the misunderstanding of that and how the spells worked.
That said - Ranged Touch Attack for initial Ray of Enfeeblement -
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Also, as the spell caster knows enough about magic to know that he cannot use the spell twice, he elects to use Acid Arrow replace the second ray with an Acid Arrow -
Ret-con acid arrow from touch attack -
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage -
2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Also, since this is a new round, the acid in the arrow from the ret-conned arrow does further damage on you this round, if it hits -
Round 2 for Acid Arrow 1
2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
Finally, he does not need Precise Shot. You have killed all the enemies around you several rounds ago; I mentioned that in earlier posts. Also, the combat map shows you are standing at the top of a ledge with no cover at all - surrounded by dead bodies laying at your feet. You've been like that for several rounds - it's why he hasn't gone up the stairs to attack you, and it's also why he has ordered his men to remain on the bottom of the stairs; so they do not advance into the Grease spell between you and them - so you're standing at the top of a stairway with no bodies and no guard rail - pretty much just you - which is why he's been shooting at you for the past three rounds.
It should be noted that your archers could be shooting at him and his men - but they are not on the ledge next to you facing down the stairs. They are on the platform adjacent to you; if they moved to stand next to you, they could shoot down the stairs; but at this time I think they're planning on shooting only at the enemies near to Yasala.
EDIT: The d20 roll for the Ray of Enfeeblement hits; so you lost some of your strength - he does a replacement with the Acid Arrow as using a second Ray of Enfeeblement would be useless - that also hits. You have an additional 13 Acid Damage at this time, which stacked with your earlier 5 damage.

Tairin of the Veils |

"Shoot at the caster (at Q:10)!" Tairin added to Paten's counsel to Yasala and the others who had ranged weapons.
Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at the dark tunnel entrance, hoping to spy the approaching threat or even as it crossed the threshold. With a flick of her hand, Tairin moved two of the dancing light orbs to the entrance (Free action), hoping the magical light would help them see through the darkness; yet knowing that the thing beyond the door had the ability to diminish magic. Sabra keenly stared into the darkness; sensitive the stench coming from the doorway. Tairin attempted to keep her position hidden/obscured from general sight using stealth.
Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Tairin's song continued in the hearts and minds of her companions, bolstering their courage. (Free action to maintain Inspire Courage: +1 to hit & damage, Round 7 of 10.)
Tairin begins to cast, discreetly pointing her finger in Yasala's direction and quietly uttering //"Risaela"// and whispering through their message link, //I will toss down a rope. Get to it and begin climbing.// (Cast Message, 120 ft range, Perception DC 25 to be able to hear the whispered message by anyone outside of Yasala, duration 20 mins.)
To Samir (?) in front of her, she softly instructed, "Hand me your rope."
(If he hands the rope to her)
Then she will toss the rope over the side of the cliff and will wait to pull Yasala up as she attempts to climb.
STR check to pull Yasala up?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
She may not be able to do all this action in this round (I'm not sure). But if needs be, she'll help pull Yasala up the side with the rope in the next round.

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Remembering the necklace found within the temple, Patenemheb moves past Tairin, deftly snatching the necklace, and moving to Bjoern to hand the magical item to him to wear and use.
"Put it on, swiftly!", he will say to the Northman.

Dain GM |

Paten - you can take a Move Action to get to the necklace via a Double Move to get the necklace and then give it to Bjeorn. He can try to put it on during his round as a Move Action; however, it will happen at the same time as his damage from the Acid Hits.
As the party waits, there is a suddenly sense of dread that seems to spread from the entrance of the temple itself.
As the party turns about, they see a terrible site oozing from the temple itself.
There, a black, hideous blob of slime has seeped. In its hideous membrane is the remains of fallen bodies swirling in the dark vortex of its existence.
I need everyone on the summit (basically everyone but Yasala) to roll a Willpower Save at this time against DC 16 - Failure means you are considered Frightened. Success means you are considered Shaken
Willpower Save for Samir
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Willpower Save for Ossan
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Willpower Save for Ossan's mercenary
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
EDIT: Osan and Samir succeeded, but Osan's mercenary fails.
Osan's mercenary cries out in terror and rushes away from the threat, avoiding the stairs choked with cultists, he elects to leap from the cliff near to Yasala...
EDIT: Falling Damage for Osan's Mercenary - as he has chosen to jump instead of falling he is going to suffer 4d6 lethal and 1d6 non-lethal:
Non-lethal damage
1d6 ⇒ 3
Lethal damage
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 1) = 12
The mercenary is laying at K:12 and is now Prone.
The cult leader remains at the base of the stairs near his men.
They do not seem to be doing anything but chant deeply and far more loudly; as if they can almost sense the presence of the creature which is now on the cliff near to you all.
Your move -

Tairin of the Veils |

Please note, everyone on the ledge/summit also gets a +1 to their Will save vs fear effects from Tairin's Inspire Courage (on top of their +1 to hit and damage).
Tairin's Will Save (DC 16): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25
(Succeeds. Tairin's now considered Shaken: –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.)
I'll post Tairin's action in my next post when it's decided if Yasala is going to go for the rope or not. At this point, I'm not sure as the player is polling on discussion.

"I would have you live, Tharagian.
"
Put on necklace, combat advice to Bjoern for +2 to next attack

Tairin of the Veils |

BJOERN: The necklace Paten gave you is the crude one we found in the pit. It's an aegis of recovery, granting its wearer a +2 resistance bonus on all saving throws made to recover from a continuing effect, such as ongoing poison damage, daily saving throws against disease, a hold person spell, or lingering damage from an attack. This bonus does not help against initial saving throws against such effects. Should the wearer ever drop below 0 hit points, the aegis heals the wearer for 2d8+3 points of damage and then crumbles to dust.

Tairin of the Veils |

Tairin's song of inspiration continues in the hearts and minds of her companions; especially in this time of need with the recent intrusion of the black, hideous blob of slime. Even shaked as she was by its presence, she kept two of the dancing light orbs (10 ft apart) near the entrance to the temple to provide light on the creature. The other two were situated over the stone staircase leading up tp the summit, giving light to Yasala and any other fighting the dark caster and cultists below. (Both are free actions. Round 7 of 10 for her Inspire Courage.)
Taking a careful 5 ft step back to H:09 and now standing at the edge of the ledge, Tairin examined the creature in hopes of identifying it and determining its strengths and weaknesses in an effort to aid her companions in finding a way to kill it. As she studied it, she took on a defensive stance, trying to not stand out or be noticed by the terrible creature.
Know. Dungeoneering re identifying creature and recollecting its strengths and weaknesses, with Shaken penalty included: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 9 - 2 = 25
Stealth not to be noticed: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 16 - 2 = 19
Tairin's taken a total defensive stance, adding +4 to her AC for 1 round and is studying the creature for now.
Inspire Courage still in play: +1 to Will save vs fear, +1 to hit and damage.

The creature, seeing Bjeorn fall, sends a large, hideous tentacle out to assail Osan - the man next to Bjeorn.
Tairin via your Knowledge Check
Not much more than you already knew; except the following things you can note -
1. The creature is to be considered "Dire" - whatever its base stats/bonuses are it has the setting attached to it.
2. The creature can do Acid attack; if it hits a player then their armor (if any) takes the same amount of damage that the hero does.
3. Weapons which strike the creature will damage it, but the weapon which strikes the creature takes the same amount of damage when it hits/touches the creature's flesh.
4. Weapons that are enchanted or blessed by a god (such as those weapons blessed by the moon god) will not be damaged by the acid.
5. The creature is acting under the orders of the one who summoned it - if that priest is slain then it will continue to attack the nearest living target until it manages to purge the area of its enemies.
6. In this case its "area" is to be considered the space on/near the temple - if you choose to flee it will likely not pursue you beyond the valley confines, though it will continue to exist - unless it is destroyed.
The creature turns to Osan and a gray, tentacle-like lash of ooze flies out at him...
Attack via Tentacle -
1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 4 = 30
If it hits -
1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 4 = 9
Acid damage -
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
EDIT: Osan is hit and suffers damage; the acid burning his gear on his body as well as his flesh.
"Gods, no!" he cries out in pain.

Attack (DA, RS, IC, Vengeance): 1d20 + 11 - 2 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 11 - 2 - 2 + 4 = 23
Damage (DA, IC, Vengeance): 1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 4 + (6) + 5 = 21
All attack and damage rolls are increased by 2 if against nomads, they are increased by 4 if against civilized.

Yasala |

I'll wait to post until I know how my attacks last round went and the response of the cultists near me. GM post only discussed what happened on the balcony.

Yasala |

Yasala steps up to the last feeding cultist with a strong overhand swipe.
Attack P16 (IC,WC,PA): 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 1 + 4 - 2 = 19
Damage (IC,PA): 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 + 1 + 6 = 16
If he goes down, that's the last one in feeding range and I can start on the ones in the walkway.

Tairin of the Veils |

In urgent direction, Tairin called out to her allies, "Dire creature attacks with acid. Use your blessed weapons. Kill the summoning caster, Yasala!"
Tairin's dancing orbs continue to hover above the fray on the ledge and stairs, casting much needed light. (Free action)
Her inspiring song continues to linger in the hearts of those who continue to heed its lyrics; bolstering their courage even as fear would prevail. (Free action to maintain bardic perform: inspire courage: + vs fear effects, + to hit and damage. Round 8 of 10.)
Not moving closer at this point, both Tairin and Sabra declare the dire ooze/creature before the entrance of the temple as deserving of their vengeance. In the moment they trigger the blessing, Tairin's fingers, holding the whip, start to bleed as do the tiny claws and around the teeth/mouth of the kitten. Tairin reacts with in-drawn breath and Sabra gives a small *meow/hiss*.
(Standard action for woman and cat to declare: Selected Dire ooze/creature as intended vengeance target for the Blessing of the Moon God. Cat: Claws and Bite. Tairin: Scorpion Whip (magical weapon, gains +4 to hit and 1d6+5 damage. I believe since they've declared, both Tairin and Sabra take one point bleed damage respectively this round and then 1 pt per round until target is slain.)

Dain GM |

At the feeling of the Acid Arrow the priest's eyes narrow and he calls out to the others who move out of the way for him.
At this time he then raises his palm a bolt of acid flies from it right toward Talar.
Ranged Touch Attack against Talar with Acid Arrow
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
If it hits - Acid Damage Round 1
2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8
After his shot he moved behind the cliff wall to defend himself against another shot as his men move up to cover him...
At this time the guard on the ground rushes over to Yasala and tries to hit her with his scimitar -
Attack on Yasala
1d20 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 6 = 30
If it hits -
1d6 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 4 = 11
At this time the creature before you raises its tentacle and strikes out at Osan again -
Attack against Osan -
1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 4 = 23
If it hits -
1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 4 = 10
Acid Damage -
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
EDIT: Roll to confirm on Yasala -
1d20 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 6 = 29
If it hits -
1d6 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 4 = 10
Final bought of Acid Damage on Bjeorn -
2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
Talar - you also take 1 Point of Damage via Bleed from the blessing until your Target is dead
EDIT: Yasala - you just took 21 damage minus your DR.
Talar - you took 8 Acid Damage and on your turn you take another 1 Point of Bleed Damage. Your target is around the corner of the cliff wall hiding and you cannot shoot him from your current position. You will have to go to him...
Bjeorn; this was your last bit of Acid Damage - you took 6 HP and are still prone
Osan lets out a hideous scream; you can see that the acid has eaten through most of his clothing on his torso; where the tentacle struck his flesh is black and mottled, almost as if it is infected.
Beyond the horrible looking pain he is enduring he seems terrified, yet is still standing...
Your move...

Yasala |

Staggered by the cultist's powerful blow, Yasala screams in rage and steps forward to strike back.
Attack on P16 (IC): 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 1 = 22
Damage (IC): 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 + 1 = 14
Attack on P17 (IC): 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 = 28
Damage (IC): 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 + 1 = 11

Tairin of the Veils |

Her inspiring song continues to linger in all the hearts of those who continue to heed its lyrics; bolstering their courage even as fear would prevail. (Free action to maintain bardic perform: inspire courage: + vs fear effects, + to hit and damage. Round 9 of 10.)
Tairin's dancing orbs continue to hover above the fray on the ledge and stairs, casting much needed light. (Free action)
Turning the shawl pouch around to the side of her body, so Sabra isn't facing the acidic tentacle head on and can be spared if by some means it reaches Tairin, the temptress moved 5 ft (still keeping 15 ft away from dire grey ooze) and flicking her scorpion whip attacked her vengeance target. "Fall back!" she warmed those too close to the creature's acidic appendage. "By Khonsu's wrath, let my strike be true."
Scorpion Whip Attack, 15 ft reach, with Blessing plus Inspire Courage and Shaken penalty on dire ooze: 1d20 + 7 + 4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 4 + 1 - 2 = 21
Damage, if hits: 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + (6) + 5 = 15
As she lashes out at the creature, more blood forms at her fingertips, dripping down the knot/handle of her blessed weapon.
Just a FYI: Tairin's armour is Lamellar Cuirass.
Sabra is in total defense (standard action) in the shawl pouch around the side of Tairin for 1 round: +4 to AC. Her AC is now 22.
(Both take 1 pt of bleed damage this new round.)

Patenemheb Sitayet |

Patenemheb wearing silken ceremonial armour
The scholar cries out to Yasala:
"Yasala, strike down the summoner!"
Wise counsel on Yasala +4

Talar Drealev |

Talar - you took 8 Acid Damage and on your turn you take another 1 Point of Bleed Damage. Your target is around the corner of the cliff wall hiding and you cannot shoot him from your current position. You will have to go to him...
And that was exactly what I worried about when I saw this ability. What just prevents them from hiding while you bleed to death? Ugh.
I realize that a touch attack of 24 hits, but for future reference am I getting any AC bonuses for cover and/or the high ground here since I'm in such an advantageous position?
If I am correct than I can move to the south a few squares and get the correct angle to shoot my target, although that will prevent me from attacking twice. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Bleeding with bubbling skin, Talar hisses in anger but jumps across his vantage point and fires another arrow!
Attack (DA, IC, Vengeance): 1d20 + 11 - 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 11 - 2 + 1 + 4 = 34
Damage (DA, IC, Vengeance): 1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 4 + 1 + (5) + 5 = 24
Confirm: 1d20 + 11 - 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 11 - 2 + 1 + 4 = 30
Crit Damage (DA, IC, Vengeance): 1d10 + 2 + 4 + 1 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 4 + 1 + (1) + 5 = 19
All attack and damage rolls are increased by 2 if against nomads, they are increased by 4 if against civilized.

Dain GM |

Meanwhile...
With a sudden scream, the arrow that Talar launched into the priest somehow managed to find its mark in a way that struck him far more critically than he had anticipated...
Throwing up his hands in agony he collapses to the ground, Talar's shaft sticking from his heart.
At this moment the chanting among the group below suddenly ceases.
The strange thing seems to change somehow - its attention seeming to shift, and its entire focus seeming to change.
Finally, the kitten Sabra pokes her head from the shawl - a sudden light in her little eyes.
Quick Note: We're waiting on Bjeorn - if someone can ask him to let me know his actions, I'll be able to have things move forward...

Dain GM |

I apologize for the delay...
As Talar's arrow streaks into the heart of the priest several things seem to happen.
An unsettling hush falls upon the men in the narrow place at the base of the stairs. Then, with a sudden panicked yell, they begin to flee with a desperate rush away from the party, not even pausing to linger by the dead - either to feast on their flesh or to loot the remains of their comrades.
Full retreat via 5x Move Speed
The seemingly mindless creature on the cliff besides the opening to the temple acts as if the "mindless" condition that it had been possessed with has been shrugged off and it now seems to be functioning with a singular will filled with a dark and evil intent.
Its entire focus now seems bent on the man who felled the priest who had called it forth...
The creature turns to Talar and strikes at him and also attempts to Grapple him as a Free Action - which, in this case, does not provoke an AoO.
Slam Attack on Talar via Touch Attack
1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 4 = 27
If it hits -
1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 4 = 9
Plus Acid damage -
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Grapple Attack vs. Talar's CMD -
1d20 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 4 = 32
EDIT: Talar; you suffer 9 Damage from the attack; but your Armor Reduction can be applied to the physical damage. The additional 7 Acid Damage cannot be reduced.
You are now considered Grappled by the creature.

Tairin of the Veils |

Her inspiring song lingers in all the hearts of those who continue to heed its lyrics; bolstering their courage even as fear would prevail. (Free action to maintain bardic perform: inspire courage: +1 vs fear effects, +1 to hit and damage. Round 10 of 10 - Last round!)
Tairin's dancing orbs continue to hover above the fray on the ledge and stairs, casting much needed light. (Free action)
Tairin carefully moved down 10 ft as she watched the grey blob grapple Talar.
She pulled back her scorpion whip and flicked her wrist, hoping to wound it anew so it would let go of Talar. Tairin fights defensively.
Blessed Scorpion Whip Attack, 15 ft reach, with Blessing plus Inspire Courage and Shaken penalty, fighting defensively on dire ooze: 1d20 + 7 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 25
Damage, if hits: 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + (6) + 5 = 15
Blood begins to pour anew from her fingers/nails. (Takes 1 pt of bleed dmg. Tairin's AC goes up +2 due to Fighting Defensively. It's now 18.)
====
Using acrobatics to quietly jump from shawl and cross the distance to get closer to the blob, Sabra defensively attacks with bared claws and teeth.
Acrobatics to long jump from shawl closer to blob with Shaken penalty(DC 10): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 2 = 16
(The blessing allows/grants the kitten multiple attacks.)
Blessed Claw Attack 1 with Inspire Courage & Shaken penalty and fighting defensively: 1d20 + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 21
Damage, if hits: 1d2 + 2 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (2) + 5 = 10
Blessed Claw Attack 2 with Inspire Courage & Shaken penalty and fighting defensively: 1d20 + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 27
Damage, if hits: 1d2 + 2 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (1) + 5 = 9
Blessed Bite Attack with Inspire Courage & Shaken penalty and fighting defensively: 1d20 + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 4 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 28
Damage, if hits: 1d3 + 2 + 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (6) + 5 = 14
If all of those hit, Sabra's total damage is 33.
Blood begins to drip anew from her mouth and claws. (Takes 1 pt of bleed dmg. Sabra's AC goes up +2 due to Fighting Defensively. It's now 20.)

Patenemheb Sitayet |

@Dain: Did Yasala or anyone else get AOO against the fleeing cultists? If they ran, they would be vulnerable to those.
Patenemheb sees the tide of battle turn, Yasala freed to return - and the monstrosity gain in dark intellect.
"Talar, keep striking! Together we shall bring ruin to the unholy!"
He draws upon the thread of vengeance and focuses.
Move action: combat advice on Talar for +2 to next attack. Standard action: activate vengeance ability, targeting ooze.

Tairin of the Veils |

I misunderstood the GM’s description of Sabra’s blessed attacks. Please ignore the second and third attacks this round. Thank you.

Talar Drealev |

That thing has hella reach.
Talar cries out in pain, and tries to struggle away from the monstrosity!
CMB: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
I can't use my bow while grappled since it requires two hands, and my damage with melee is not impressive. Talar will probably only live another 1 round under these conditions.
