I promise to not be more explicit in Shalewigg's scenes. That sort of solo killing is about as adult-oriented as I can write. I can be less gritty if that's what everyone wants.
It's fine for me, you would be hard pressed to upset or disturb me... :-)

Soren Marsailles |

Doesn't bother me; I'm a hard person to disturb. That said, I'd say as a group we probably shouldn't move past that level, just to keep away from anything that goes too far, you know?

the Shining Host |

I would say if no one has any objections go as wild as you like, if it seems a bit over the edge - spoil it.
Once everyone checks in on their 3 days of Downtime I will move the plot along.
Will be here all weekend, vacation plans got canceled.

Nathanial Torken |

I certainly don't have a weak stomach. Carry on!

the Shining Host |

Sorry guys I will add my three day post in here as to not ruin the gameplay thread and will post there as well. I do apologize things got away from me.
Tis ok, Holidays do that to us all. :-)

Lothryin Harad |

On the morrow, Lothyrin awoke in his chambers finding many delightful gifts now in his possessions. He goes over each one with an acute gaze as he handles his new trinkets. Slipping on his chain shirt he gingerly handles his new jewelry as he adorns himself with it. Sliding the wand into his pocket he picks up the lock jammer and inspects its craftsmanship. He plays with the travelers any tool looking at all the gadgets while he walks around, his clothes constantly changing to different colors and styles. He then emerges from his chamber summoning his slaves inside to begin practicing his foul arts. Observers could hear the faint whisper as Lothyrin cast his charms on his willing victims. Other times he could be seen in the training room destroying dummies with his razor sharp claws that seemed to grow from his hand. He would stand in the corner and observe the sparring ready to cure any bumps or bruises that may occur during the friendly contests, admiring the strength and speed of his companions as they danced.
To be clear while I did practice some spells on the slaves, I did not do anything that would cause physical harm or any lasting mental harm. Sorry for posting here but I did not want to clutter up the gameplay thread after my time had past.

I will give the Players till tomorrow night to respond to Grumble's actions then he will be down the stairs and ahead of you all!

Would the contract with Asmodeus count as having him as a patron for the Damnation feats in the Champions of Corruption book?

Sure, the more Damned you are the faster he will have your soul...

Don't think I'll take any just yet, and at least one of them wouldn't help me at all, but they looked interesting, and would really fit in with the theme of the campaign.

Grumble Jack |

So, regarding the trapspringer role-
My original concept for Grumblejack was actually to give him Disable Device and the Trapfinder trait (or one of the other Disable Device traits). I thought it would be fun for him to be something of an idiot savant with mechanical stuff.
I dropped that idea when I joined this game because we already have a rogue and an inquisitor and I thought it would be covered.
If the group wants, I wouldn't mind putting that element back into the character. I'd still need someone with a good perception to spot the traps for me, but it might be fun to have the big dumb ogre be the trapspringer.
Thoughts?

Fine by me, amusing to be sure.

Soren Marsailles |

Soren does have Trap Finder, but unless I missed something that doesn't actually give me Trapfinding? If it does, then Soren is totally prepared for traps. When I checked the trait's mechanics, it just gave me Disable Device as a class skill. Was there errata for it that I missed somewhere?
EDIT: Yeah, I guess I completly missed that. I'm not sure how, but I did. In that case, Soren can totally deal with traps. So, unless you want to make yourself good at trapfinding, Soren actually can handle it.

Grumble Jack |

Up to you. If you'd rather put the skill points and trait elsewhere, I can take it. I still need someone to spot them for me, which would make Soren and Grumble our trap team, which could be fun. We could also both take them and be able to Aid Another.
If you want to handle it on your own, I'll find something else to do with the trait/points.

Soren Marsailles |

Aid Another could be fun. I don't have anything else to spend them on, so I'd be cool with us being the trap tag-team.

Grumble Jack |

I noticed that ont he Campaign Info tab, there's still a bunch of patches on the Veil that haven't been claimed.
Is that accurate?

Yes ;-)

I will not be able to update the thread tomorrow just an FYI, it will be a long day at work...

the Shining Host |

Vaundour you are able to verify Nate's suspicion, it is indeed a trap.
I can't say or write this without Admiral Ackbar in the back of my head shouting at me...

Taking a break I figured I would nudge us along to the next Chamber!

Nathanial Torken |

Finals week. Please DMPC as necessary. I will return on Wednesday night, thoroughly stressed and exhausted and probably eating a whole pizza by myself.

Good luck!

the Shining Host |

Shall we move on to the next room or do you wish to get at the Mist that attacked you?

Nathanial Torken |

Yup.

Soren Marsailles |

Same here, I was waiting for Lothyrin. Not that Grumble's tried smashing the grate, though, I figure I'll post once the GM does.

the Shining Host |

The damn site would not load for me for a few days there when had the time to sign on. I will update tonight.

Nathanial Torken |

I hope this poor kid learns that the most normal and friendly looking face of the party is also the most mentally unstable.

That will be the fun part!

Nathanial Torken |

Eh, I doubt it. Even after vouching for Grumblejack he was all like "We need to abandon or kill him!" I'm guessing lawful stupid.
I do like that idea for the future though...
