I have many times considered running a PbP, and I've been writing an original adventure path on and off for some time now. (kinda thinking I'd save it for when I WIN the next RPG Superstar, heh heh ; )
My PbP posting activity has dropped dramatically of late though. I think I've just gotten kinda burned out after 5 or 6 years of Constant PbPing. I like to think I'll get back more into it again at some time in the near future. So if I do, and I do decide to run a PbP, you'll for sure be one of the first to know.
@Kelne: I'd definitely be interested to see and follow one of your games mate. If ya do it best of luck! (and if I find my PbP stride again in time I'll for sure put in my application to play in it)

Does anyone know for sure what happened to DRA? Did he get cancer? Go through a break up? Is he touring with Metallica on a secret European underground tour? Did his plan to wait up and capture an underpants gnome go horribly and irrevocably wrong?
I think real life caught up and he just hit the lack of momentum with the game.

Yeah we got right to the boat at pirates of the Caribbean and the ride broke. We sat on the ground for another 45 minutes in the 91 degree heat. THANK Desna that the ride was fixed or I would have had to upset kids and a rabid hot and hungry mother bear to deal with. I was forgiven once we got to ride.

Y'know, in response to Hurin's earlier question about what happened to Dan where he posited that he may have gotten cancer, I was actually diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. I got it cut out (7.1cm of malignant tumor!) and I have radiation therapy tomorrow to finish it off.
Yeah, as we get older 1 out of 4 of us will have a bout with cancer. I lost two friends to cancer in 2011. I am glad to hear your fight is going well. Has your work been kind to you about the recovery, etc. That is if you don't mind sharing.
It just seems like something big must have happened to Dan.
I had heard from Dan recently that life was still kicking his ass a bit but i never pressed for details only that if he came back it wwould be great but if he was unable to to just let me know and id post he bad news to everyone. I was trying not to pressure him and gone him an outlet if he needed. Good to hear from you Damian! And as always i am here :)

Personally, DRA I don't feel like you need to bump us two levels, I would prefer to earn them in your awesome story to just being granted them. Of course it's your game so you have the final say.
To be honest just having you back and writing with us is all the reward I need. I was genuinely worried about you, because I know how hard you vetted me to see if I was dedicated and would remain with the game if you allowed me to join in on one of your sagas. As many of us know life can throw curveballs all of a sudden. My imagination was getting the best of me. I hope you are doing well and I am very excited to start this epic journey up again!

I appreciate the fact you were concerned. My physical health and mental health both sort of crumbled at the same time back in December and it was too much for me. It's nothing life-threatening, so far, but I did have to make a bunch of lifestyle adjustments that really took me by surprise. After that, it was honestly just overwhelming guilt that kept me off the boards; I was terrified to come out here.
Sometimes a vacation is necessary. As long as you're happy with the changes you've made, we're all happy for you. As you can see, we kept the torch going. Some folks even wrote some mini-stories (flashbacks, flash-forwards, and the like) in their threads to keep things going.
It'll take some time for me to get back into the swing of things and level up.

Also, even though I reckon I already know the answer, I'll make my usual pitch; My buddy Graham and I are once again running a two-night invite-only super-awesome PFR game at GenCon. Our players once again include badasses like RPG Superstar winner Steve Helt and finalist Scott Fitzgerald and various luminaries from the Iron GM contingent as well as other rad longtime gamers. This year's adventure is an underwater campaign set in a free-for-all pirate city. If any of you are going to Con, you are officially invited to play in this campaign. I'd love to meet you, hang out, and run a game for you IRL. :-)

I've been sparse on the boards myself of late, been a Busy, but Fun, summer. And in fact I'll be gone again, out of cell and wifi range, for two weeks at another festival starting Saturday.
I should be able to get in a post or two before then, but until I get back, please dmpc Jorzan where necessary. I also doubt I'll have time to level him before then.
(All this same goes for Aylaeyth, of course.)
