Perfecto Red! Thanks!
Mr Peppers will be at the height of his power starting tomorrow as well, Master of Gnomes.
Sirettis
|
Now this is a haul, wowzers!
I'm not even done with my level 4 progress, lol. I'm back from my business trip but I slept for most of the day.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne

Looks good Red!
And thanks for posting Wormgnash's backstory. Cool stuff!

The long awaited day of the concert has come.
(For me at least, in the GMT +1)
Now i've to wait 19 hours before it starts....
| GM Hmm |
Enjoy it!
Hmm
Mr. Peppers
|
Try not to take too many crazy mind altering drugs at the show.
HMM: Character is leveled up if you want to browse for anything that looks questionable or have questions. I think its all set, at least until I know what we're doing for the next mission.
GM Red
|
It's the Netherlands, sooo.. Well, I don't want to be presumptuous.
Silas is almost ready! Almost! I'm pumped for how much fun this is going to be.
... Unless he rolls a 1 on a UMD check. Until he's level 5, he's pretty much screwed if that happens!
Sirettis
|
Sirettis is ready for level 5.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Oh i will enjoy, and no worries Peppers.
Red, you must be thinking of that silly stereotypical image of The Netherlands? Legal coffeeshops.
It's okay to admit it, you're not the only one to think that way, i've heard that association from other internationals. You can sit over there with the Germans, Italians, the Brits and the Spanish.
(Group): Hi Red...
GM Red
|
I've never actually been there before... Forgive my ignorance.
Mr. Peppers
|
Those shops are coming to the US soon enough, some are already here in certain states. If us Westerners didn't make assumptions of the East based on tv and pop culture then what would we know? :)
Sir D. Arthraven
|
No Red, don't sweat it. :)
It's true though, our capital Amsterdam has a district for coffeeshops & brothels.
Me: I'm from Netherlands.
Italian guy: Amsterdam! [Motioned with the gesture of smoking and hip thrusting]
I don't care about Amsterdam, i don't live there. :P
I'll try to take some pictures tonight, and post them on my google docs, if at all possible. :)
Sirettis

Reminds of me when I try to explain to people there are more boroughs in New York than Manhattan, or Times Square is maybe 15 square blocks, and then there's the rest of Manhattan.
(from the Bronx, not bitter)
Mr. Peppers
|
Its nice to know you've upgraded to Boston Sirettis :) Gotta admit, us New Englanders don't like NYC.
Soooo... are we ready to gooOooOOO? Also, not sure how much experience you all have with arcanists... but we can prepare spells with metamagics like a wizard for standard casting time or add them to spells spontaneously and cast as a full round action like a sorcerer. My question is, if I prepare say magic missile with a metamagic in a 2nd lvl slot, does that count towards my 2 2nd levels spells I can prepare a day? I can cast 4 second level spells but only prepare 2 different spells per day.
Another question is about an exploit... It doesn't say what sort of action it is to use this... This exploit fits Mr Peppers nicely but I'm not sure how it would work.
See Magic (Su): The arcanist can see magical auras. If she expends 1 point from her arcane reservoir, for 1 minute she instantly recognizes magic item auras and spell effects (as per detect magic). During this time, she is treated as if she had studied each aura for 3 rounds, and she treats her Knowledge (arcana) check as if she had rolled a 15 on the d20. In addition, if she touches a magic item during this time, she can immediately identify its properties using Spellcraft without needing to spend 3 rounds examining the object. If an enemy possesses the object, the arcanist must first succeed at a melee touch attack in order to touch the item.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Oh my gosh, Peppers! I don't know much of anything about spell casters, and arcanists is particular, but man does that exploit suit you well!!!
As far as the cultural assumptions discussion, being from Central Florida, people tend to default to one of three perceptions: 1) Old people; 2) Disney World; 3) Beaches. They're not wrong, although they do leave out the preponderance of Red Necks and the booming Latin-x populations. Overall, Florida is just kinda weird, guys.
Gallix is ready to go for 5th level. He's got some new tricks that I'm excited to try out. Hmm, if you have an itch, feel free to check my sheets and make sure I'm not cheating somehow. Haha!
Speaking of which, Sirettis, did you ever bump yourself up to 20pt buy?
Sirettis
|
20 point buy is in effect. I have 9 strength now :)
Boston is weird and public transit shuts down after midnight. Huh?
GM Red
|
Then there's us Toronto people who think Toronto is the center of the universe. Right, Uesugi? ;)
I'm not 100% sure about the answer to your question, Peppers, but I think it would count toward your 2nd level spells in that scenario, yes.
My character is ready. I hope you're ready for him. He's totally going to want a peek at Mr. Peppers spellbook as soon as he can get one.

Can't say I've ever been in Boston that late to notice. Boston is for going to Sox games and to the airport, that's about it in my book. The T is a fun ride, but I wouldn't want to use it daily, or after midnight.
You're lucky Red, Mr Peppers isn't one of those overprotective mages with his spellbook. Its limited and full of the most common spells. Its not the size of the spellbook that matters... its how you modify those spells!

I am almost ready. Buying my equipment now. Give me like at least until noon. Trying to work on my special thing too.
Lol I thought the sun revolves around Toronto? Clearly it must I mean Red and I live here after all!!
| GM Hmm |
Give me a few minutes to get us transitioned today, and we'll get started. First, the two finger dexterity test... Can you move avatars on the "Sun Orchid Scheme Map" on Slide TWO?
(I know, BEST map ever, right? Don't worry... I do have a reason for its simplicity!)
Red, can you do me a favor? Can you put your avatar on Slide TWO? I'm on iPad only today, which means no image editing for me.
Hmm
Sirettis
|
Can you move avatars on the "Sun Orchid Scheme Map" on Slide TWO?
Seems fine to me.
GM Red
|
Done!
I've got my player portfolio ready for the first time I roll a UMD 1. Do GM stars give you rerolls? Is it per adventure or is it once only?
Mr. Peppers
|
I can move Mr Peppers around on slide 2, no problemo!
Red as far as a UMD nat 1... have more than one wand at the ready as well as a good bluff check. "Sorry, I forgot, I'm out of spells of that type today."
| GM Hmm |
GM stars give you a PLUS 1 on your reroll for every star you have. Your reroll is once per adventure.
Hmm
GM Red
|
Yeah, I've got 6 wands right now, so it's a little reassuring, but some of them are key!
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Peppers since you are resident carrier of sticks I was going to forego wand of magic weapon and instead go with wand of enlarge. I did take your advice and purchase the wand of bless weapon though.
Gallix please include your thoughts as well since you are front line melee.
And while I didn't buy a new bright katana I did purchase my crown of swords.
| GM Hmm |
RED --
You can't afford this now, but keep it in mind for the future: Wand Key Ring
Or just invest in the circlet of persuasion or UMD Skill rocks (ioun stones)!
Hmm
Mr. Peppers
|
Just remember that enlarge is a 1 round casting time with a range of 25' on a CL 1 wand. Best used for prebuffing, but can be useful at other times not in combat. EI: It won't always come into play but still useful to have around for only 2PP.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
All good on moving my avatar, Hmm!
As far as wands, I'm having a hard time deciding between buying a wand of feather step or saving up for some feather step slippers so I can have the effect on constantly.
I'm also looking at what potion to buy from Miss Pricknettle. I was looking at a few 3rd level options yesterday that seemed promising (trying to decide between Haste, Keen Edge, and Fly!), and with a 30% discount they'll only cost 500gp!
| GM Hmm |
I'm moving you all forward. I did drop a hint for a wand you lot might like if you were paying attention.
Uesugi, by all means, bring Yurei. Desert horses are a thing.
Hugs,

All together now, everyone: "I'd like to buy a wand of endure elements, please!"
Haha! Seriously, though, I'll go ahead and buy one. I'll save my gp for those slippers.
Spending 2PP on a wand of endure elements.

Ya I'll need to get a bit of info on our next mission and then I'll make some last minute purchases. Mr Peppers was so enthralled though with that elixir of vision that he dropped some serious coin on enhancing his Elven sight to that of more traditional 'long ears'.
PS, I can't believe you broke up with yourself Gallix! You cruel cruel man! Mr Peppers will have to have a word with you about that later!

Hahaha! What can I say? I wanted Begrilda to have some further character development too. She got the GM credit from our game of Wounded Wisp, so I thought it would be appropriate that she became a fully fledged Pathfinder herself, and could detach herself from Gallix. Who knows, though, maybe she'll seek him out again someday, though she still won't have much luck with that since Gallix doesn't swing that way. ‾\_(ツ)_/‾
Mr. Peppers
|
I'm sure she can ply her craft and her booze hard enough to convince even the most staunch such as Gallix into a night of poor choices.
Silas Vincent
|
Because he's still a rogue, Silas does have TWF, and he uses two cestuses (cestii?) in quite the Gallix-like fashion :)
The plan is to use chill touch prior to combat and hopefully act before an enemy. He'll get 2d4 + 8 base for a full attack, 2d6 sneak attack damage, and 1d6 chill touch which will require a fort save. Sorta like a Magus.
Once he can actually cast chill touch via the Major Magic rogue talent, this becomes even easier!
Mr. Peppers
|
Sounds like a neat concept for sure. I've always wanted to make a rogue with those magic talents. The UMD skill unlock from unchained will definitely treat you well.
Edit: Why is he only level 3?
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
I just want to hear the barbs that will be thrown between Peppers and Silas!!!
Silas Vincent
|
Because I'm playing out of tier, Peppers. I mentioned this when I was asking what character I should bring. I have sufficient disable device for this mission, but at the risk of getting killed pretty easily given it's likely being played in Subtier 4-5.
Although I have melee weapons I'll probably stay pretty far back during combat.
Mr. Peppers
|
Sugi: Are you making the assumption that Mr Peppers would be less than cordial to someone that is pretending to be a hardworking and knowledgeable arcane spellcaster? Please... :)
Red: Oh, I thought you were applying chronicles to whichever you brought. You can have a spot in the back near me and Sirettis and D.
Silas Vincent
|
Right. I would've applied chronicles to Silas, but I screwed up and used the first one on my grippli. Well, maybe not screwed up, because I really enjoyed playing her, but she didn't necessarily have to be level 2 for BuA.
Ah well, Silas will stay safely in the back with the real casters. ;)
Mr. Peppers
|
So long as you're playing the one you want to play in the game and not playing him for his disable device ability alone.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Yeah, that's what Gallix took Disable Device for! (not that his skill is anything to write home about haha!)
Silas Vincent
|
Not to worry, I'd happily play either of them. Bring it on, Hmm!
