Skaar
Skaar jumps out of his seat and stomps toward Sefirous. "What did I tell you? I'll show you what a man looks like. Get your sorry ass outside."
Skaar
CR 18?! He wasn't anywhere near that last time.
Skaar
Does Skaar remember Sefirous as some kind of near-deity? I recall you mentioning him as being a ruthless killer but nothing quiet that powerful.
Cyna Singer
"Of course, Ylrhea." The ranger notes.
Cyna looks for the lycan, and asks for his assistance as well. "How about you Garard, we could use you down there?"
Skaar
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
If Skaar has reason to believe that Sefirous is some kind of god-like being, instead:
Skaar scoffs at Sefirous's threats. "The only thing you're worst at than fighting is pleasurin' a woman. Get outta here."
Skaar
I forgot I can do that.
Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Cyna Singer
With a nod Cyna says. "Understandable Rusty, I need to get my things as well and I'll need you to show us where this crypt is then you can get back to your patient."
Skaar
Thanks Wildcat.
Sādhanā
He can still make the decision not to fight, making the save might just mean he doesn't $#!+ himself when he does.
Skaar
I posted some some new actions. If Skaar thinks Sefirous has achieved SSJ IV, he'll stick to egging him on for now.
Skaar
Skaar scoffs again and gestures to the Fish's owner for a drink. "Nobody's scared of you here fool."
Of course now Skaar now needs to start getting stronger so he can back it up. =/
Arista
That's why I've been slaving like a demon to let everyone else know whats going on so we can all be prepared. With as many strong individuals we have in this place, I don't care how much of a bad ass that b#&++ is, we'll still come out on top. Maybe just let her off with a warning and make sure she gets the hell outta town, and stays out. I don't like people that bully, torture, or otherwise have anything to do with the maiming of others, just for the sake of doing it or because they think they can. When the time comes for the REAL fight, I'm gonna make sure she stays ash.
Arista
Making their way to the Gnome's store, Arista looks at Alethiro.
"So, is there something on your mind? You look like...well like you're not exactly all here. Is everything alright? We don't have to worry about the cup right now, if you don't want to. I was thinking about some seasonal flowers and candles for the tables though. I don't have a whole lot of time to work with.....just thinking of keeping it simple really."
She lifts his hand and kisses it while they walk together.
"Just remember, I'm always here for you if you ever need to talk about anything."
Harakhty Suntooth
An acute question, but I suppose I was asking for it. "It isn't exactly for worry such a pair of trinkets would be useful. My tribe has been separated from me for some time now. Even with the danger on the mainland, I feared less for their safety and more for their eternal departure from me." Harakhty sighs. "The crone from the Green Circle has said they are nearby though; it's exciting for me, but also frustrating in that I'd rather they not come here while prideful necromancers run about."
Nicatha of the Manifold Moon
Skaar, Nicatha wasn't going to stick around that woman after she used her illusions to make an impression. It is unclear to me whether you saw the confrontation between Jelk and Nicatha, but if you did, when the darkness cleared Nicatha was gone. She would not accept any apologies from that woman. Nor would she stick around for a conversation between some woman who strangely believes her to be a slave and an Orc (who she likes) but thinks she should belong to some man.
Skaar
After dismissing Sefirous and finishing his drink, Skaar goes to meet Nicatha.
Alethiro Milocathe
"So which was it that made you speechless, her advice about us or her news of being pregnant?" He asked with a smile.
Skaar
”I found her and set her straight on a few things. The girl’s the daughter of a man I met in Brassport but doesn’t have an bit of her father’s heart. And it’s worse than that. I ran into Sefirous again”, the big orc explains.
GM Henry Fortuna
Michael straightens a few things on a nearby desk. "That is the crux of life, Harakhty. Things don't always work out the way you want them to. You're dealing with a lot of individuals moving at their own pace with their own intentions. Something will invariably derail careful planning, there will always be an unexpected development that will need to be addressed. I suppose some people would consider those variables exciting, but I feel you are much like me and do not. The best we can do is continue on the path of our making, but remember that we aren't alone."
***
Drago feels Elena take his hands. "Remain where you are and continue to breathe in deeply, exhale completely. Visualize yourself, as the person you want to be."
***
Rusty nods, holding Sathorn up. "It's right next to Hadrinn's garden. One could call that bad luck."
He leads Cyna and the others to the back Hadrinn's small cottage. A small opening lies in the upturned ground, a pile of several stone meticulously set next to it. The stench of dust and decay wafts up from the opening. Gerard visibly looks uncomfortable, his senses probably overwhelmed by the smell.
"I'll leave you to it, Captain," Rusty says, taking Sathorn away.
***
Clara murmurs in her sleep, her tone peaceful and happy. She does not stir for a good few hours.
Ylrhea Corissca
Ylrhea departs and returns with a small mace in her hands, a dagger in her belt and a backpack on her shoulders. "I'm ready when you are. If you want to find some others to join us, Cyna, I can keep watch."
GM Henry Fortuna
"Knock, knock," Corda hears a voice she heard once before say, followed by the slamming of her shop door.
***
Sienna looks at Cyna. "Maybe Gerard isn't the best choice for this."
***
Halfpocket emerges from the back and looks up at Arista and Alethiro. "Ah, so you've come back for those goblets, haven't you?"
Cyna Singer
"Were in a land full of necromancers, he's going to have to get used to it eventually." Cyna retorts lightheartedly.
Cyna looks to Ylrhea. "I was hoping to bring someone with the divine touch, their healing is extremely useful when dealing with undead. I can only think of a few and they're preoccupied right now. Other than that I could try to find Skaar and Drago, not sure what they've been up to."
GM Henry Fortuna
Sefirous strides up as soon as he sees Corda's face. "We're going to have a little chat and we're going to keep it civil. Otherwise..."
He pulls a long knife caked with dried gore. "I'm going to have to do something you might regret. Understand? And don't bother yelling or calling for your boyfriend because no one else can see us."
Arista
Arista stops dead in her tracks as Alethiro reveals to her that he knew what she and Corda had talked about. She stares at him for a moment with an incredulous expression on her face.
"But...but...how did you know what she said? How....how did you overhear that? How can I have girl talk if you're listening? Not that I would keep anything from you love, but sometimes we girls... need to have a girl moment, and we can't do that with our men listening in."
She sighs then and looks down at the ground for a moment, the metal tone around her cheeks darkening. She looks back up at Alethiro and gives him a wry smile before kissing him on the cheek.
"So fine, as long as you apparently heard just about every word we said I'll tell you my thoughts on it. It's true, I've been a little nervous about...you know...that thing we're gonna do after we get married. Anyways, that's why I've been acting so strangely lately. I....I just wanted to make you happy and I didn't want to worry you with being all nervous and wot not, so I went to Esme and talked to her. She was the one that suggested the bath. She thought it would help ease my mind some if I knew what I was getting into....so to speak."
She slaps her hand to her forehead.
"Ugghh, why is this such a big deal? Why do I feel this way? I have no idea....I just want to make you happy. That's all I know. I'm sorry I lied about my reasons for the bath, it was not my intention to deceive you. In truth I think I was just as nervous and worried about the bath, as I am about...you know, that thing. I know everything will be okay, it's perfectly normal to be a little nervous the very first time....so it's not like I need to be fixed or anything. As far as Corda being pregnant, and with Skaar's child no less, I'm not sure what to think. I wasn't even sure that the two were really....um...compatible in that way, ya know? I'm trying really hard not to think about it too much. I just...can't. I'm happy for her, and just hope that everything turns out alright....for her and the baby."
Realizing just how much she was talking, and how quickly due to how nervous such subjects made her, she has to visibly force herself to stop and just stands there trembling slightly.
GM Henry Fortuna
Sefirous slides the knife behind his back. "It's about Skaar. I'm concerned because he seems to have these ideas that he's too good for the Horseman of War. And, really, he's not."
He picks up a vial from a shelf. "Plus we have a problem with your offspring. A kinder, gentler orc has no place in this world. Without war, there is no peace. Without death, there is no life. You're just f@$~ing up the natural order of things."
He hurls the vial against a wall, the glass shattering behind Corda. "I'm tired of being subtle. I'm tired of being nice. That's never been my way and it sure as the nine hells isn't now. I really feel like killing something right now. Do you want that to be you? No? Do you have a better idea of how to fix things?"
