DM Ninja/infinite

Round 2:
goblins
Sumisu
Braydon
Kayosin
Vak
Straehan
Goldilocks
Fibek

Staehan smacks the dancing gobbo upside his head, while Fibek and Goldilocks...oops. That one isn't gonna answer any questions, except maybe to Pharasma.

Firework gobbo on Kayosin: escape: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

Unarmed gobbo on Straehan:
punch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
damage: 1d3 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3

"What the ?!" Kayosin barks out as he tries to grab the slippery goblin.

R2 - Grapple 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

"Crap! Hold still, ya little bastard!"

M

Sumisu weaves his hands again in an attempt to daze one of the goblins with a spell. His demeanor seems a bit more serious since his aim seemed to be off with his previous color spray.

Daze: DC 15

DM Ninja/infinite

Round 2:
goblins
Sumisu
Braydon
Kayosin
Vak
Straehan
Goldilocks
Fibek

Gobbo on Straehan: The goblin going after Sraehan starts singing something in goblin as it swings at it's racial enemy, seemingly uncaring that it keeps missing as long as it can keep taunting him...until Sumisu's spell dazes it.

punch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

The one on Kayosin squirms free, then dives for the still discharging firework. grab_for_firework: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

.. and Kayosin continues trying to pin him down, grimacing at what a spectacle he probably is becoming.

Grapple (provoking AoO) 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

The cat jumps another goblin.
hit/damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 171d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

The cat then shakes her head at what is sure to be another pathetic display of archery. Her lack of confidence in the elf is not unwarranted.

Elf Arcanist (Occultist) 1 | AC: 12 (t 12, ff 10) | HP: 7/7 | Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +4 | CMB -1, CMD 11 | Init +6 | Perc +9

The elf fires at a goblin.
hit/damage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d8 ⇒ 7

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

Ikshvaku is waiting on Braydon, and the player is also not sure how many goblins are still up (or where they are, relative to the rest of the party).

DM Ninja/infinite

There is only one goblin left up. Which one depends on which one Goldilocks hit; the dazed one or the one playing with Kayosin and the discharging firework.

Someone might want to put out a few small fires...

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

Ikshvaku and Braydon act before Goldilocks in the round, so there are still two goblins left up for Braydon.

Male Human (augmented) Gestalt Soulknife / Inquisitor 2; AC(armored) AC19/t11/ff18; Init+5* Perc+9; F+3+/R+4/W+7

"Subdue? Uh, ok.. I'll try.."

Attack:: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 <-Unarmed, to subdue
Damage:: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Braydon delivers a solid knee to whichever goblin he's closest to..

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

If the goblin Braydon just kneed is still up, Ikshvaku will advance around it and try to flank it. The agile creature easily dodges his blow, however.

Mind Blade, striking to subdue: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 6 - 4 = 10

DM Ninja/infinite

Braydon's goblin is down, stunned.

M

The small figure pulls out his paper and begins to take notes. He relates the goblin's comments made earlier to the group as he writes them down.

"They have a peculiar accent that I did not expect, but the fundamentals of the language are the same. I should be able to act as an interpreter for anyone who wishes to interrogate this one when he wakes."

DM Ninja/infinite

The remaining goblin, now panicking, attempts to protect itself from the elf and his pet by scrambling up Kayosin's back to hide.

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

"Sumisu, tell him to surrender and he won't be harmed."

Kayosin, continuing to try to get ahold of the little creature, translates the message.

Goblin:
"Big man say stop contesting or he slap you face dead."

What, Kayosin just picked the language up on the fly... you don't expect it to be perfect, do you?

Grapple 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Bluff (Okay, Kayosin MAY have modified the message) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

M

Sumisu nodded at Kayosin's quick understanding of the language and continued writing, adding a note of his own.

Goblin:
[b]"And you can leave, find a wench and make your own clan."

Aid Another: Bluff 1d20 ⇒ 6

DM Ninja/infinite

The goblin cowers and starts babbling away, in goblin, of course

Goblin:
"Thought you were bones come back! Bones come, kill and kill! Stupid heroes took stuff from cave and bones came for the treasures. Chief smart, guess why and give back. But we have fireworks, think they might want those back, too. Go kill bones! Their fault, not goblins!"

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

"What did the little monster say? "

Kayoisn frowns, struggling to decipher the rapid-fire goblin words. "He says he thought were were 'bones come back'. Some kind of undead? He said they came killed. He says some 'heroes' took stuff from a cave and then the bones came for the treasures. The goblin chief gave back the treasure, but the goblins still have some fireworks. He says he thinks the bones may want the fireworks back, too. He wants us to go kill the bones." He shrugs, "... least I think that's what all he said... I'm still picking up the finer points of the language."

Kayosin turns back to the goblin, continuing in his broken tongue.

Goblin language:
"Why us big legs help you? Goblins make big problem. Seem like we big legs make all problem erase if we finish bones job to kill goblins, too."

DM Ninja/infinite

goblin:
"Go to cave. Chief have map! Get good shinies. Kill bones before they come for longlegs, too. Keep good shinies. We not hunt longlegs for long time. Tribe half gone. Few-few fighters left. Heroes go to find more goblins, tribe maybe join tribe away from bones."

Kayosin translates the goblin's words with a black look. (Go ahead and read that last spoiler, everyone.)

"I don't think this little bugger is in a place to make a deal… especially if the deal is not to attack the local towns for a while. If that's the best he can offer, I'm considering taking his ear right now." He looks at the group with a considering look, "Though getting the map and checking out this cave could give us some leverage with Hemlock. Identifying a potential undead threat to Sandpoint can't be ignored… might be some coin or goodwill in it for us."

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

Ikshvaku considers the goblin's offer. "He will not get far if we leave him here, yes? I think it is worth the deal to find these 'bones,' whatever they are."

Male Human (augmented) Gestalt Soulknife / Inquisitor 2; AC(armored) AC19/t11/ff18; Init+5* Perc+9; F+3+/R+4/W+7

"I..I think we should finish our work here, first. If..if these 'bones' come back while we're here..then it saves us..a trip."

Braydon looks about at the scattered, damaged buildings.

"It would be best to deal with..the head here. It should end any..more troubles. For a while, anyhow."

Elf Arcanist (Occultist) 1 | AC: 12 (t 12, ff 10) | HP: 7/7 | Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +4 | CMB -1, CMD 11 | Init +6 | Perc +9

"Goblin and trustworthy are words often not used together."

Kayosin nods, "Then we'll get the map from this chief, then wrap up our work here."

Kayosin turns back to the goblin.

Goblin:
"Big legs is speak to Goblin chief. Receives map. Big legs willing to stab Bones much to fix problem."

Bluff (to not give up that we still intend to get some ears) 10 + 4 = 14

Also, heads up, but Kayosin only has 1 point left in his Arcane pool and 1 level 1 spell. So we should be diligent about whether we move on or rest before hitting the cave.

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

Vak is healthy and ready to rock, if needed. How are the other spellcasters besides Kayosin doing?

Male Human (augmented) Gestalt Soulknife / Inquisitor 2; AC(armored) AC19/t11/ff18; Init+5* Perc+9; F+3+/R+4/W+7

Haven't run through anything expendable yet..except food. Only have 1 day's rations left.

Elf Arcanist (Occultist) 1 | AC: 12 (t 12, ff 10) | HP: 7/7 | Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +4 | CMB -1, CMD 11 | Init +6 | Perc +9

DM Ninja/infinite

Fibek:

Let me know what you all want to do. Do you want to press the attack, slaughter this guy and rest here, or withdraw for a night's rest?

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

"I suppose we can rest, yes." The Vudrani summons his mind blade and slices down on the goblin in a single smooth motion.

Normal attack on goblin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Confirm crit on goblin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Mind blade damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10

DM Ninja/infinite

Sumisu:
Level up

Vak splats the poor goblin, unless someone stops him.

Are you going to rest here? You are still inside goblin town, after all.

M

The short robed figure paid no heed to the dying goblin. "If we are tired, let's rest. Anything attacking here should believe there isn't anything else of value, and if goblins return that have run away, we can collect their bounty as well."

Spoiler:
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Elf Arcanist (Occultist) 1 | AC: 12 (t 12, ff 10) | HP: 7/7 | Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +4 | CMB -1, CMD 11 | Init +6 | Perc +9

"Resting here is wise. I have new spells to learn and more of them."

DM Ninja/infinite

So you folks are really bedding down for the night in an enemy stronghold, without checking to see if there are any more of them around. Ooookay.

Male Human (augmented) Gestalt Soulknife / Inquisitor 2; AC(armored) AC19/t11/ff18; Init+5* Perc+9; F+3+/R+4/W+7

"I..Wasn't there supposed to..be a..king or chief? Anyway, I smell more goblins about. Maybe we..should retreat a bit?"

Elf Arcanist (Occultist) 1 | AC: 12 (t 12, ff 10) | HP: 7/7 | Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +4 | CMB -1, CMD 11 | Init +6 | Perc +9

"I would prefer to defend a strong point rather than moving too much. We can continue if you like. I just wanted to have a full set of spells to use against the chief."

Kayosin shrugs, "We're here... let's go see this chief. We can rest afterwards."

at the risk of being rash, falling back just seems so lame! I say we move forward and get some ears!

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

"I agree, Kayosin."

M

"Fair enough. We can go find him. I'm not so tired as to require sleep as of yet. Also, I don't mind the activity. I want to make my books last longer."

Let's go.

The cat joins Kayosin up front.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 (+1 vs. traps)
Stealth 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

DM Ninja/infinite

You open the door to the walkway leading to H4, only to see a group of three goblins heading your way, led by, or maybe pushing to the front, a goblin carrying one of those red fireworks tubes. The other two are holding dogslicers.

Both groups are equally surprised, so no surprise round.

Braydon: initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Fibek: initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Goldilocks: initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Ikshvaku: initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Kayosin: initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Straehan: initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Sumisu: initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
goblinsx3: initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Round 1
Braydon
Vak
Sumisu
Goldilocks
goblins
Kayosin
Straehan
Fibek

The goblin with the firework lights it, firing at the tall elf while cackling gleefully.

Braydon=1, Fibek=2, Goldilocks=3, Ikshvaku=4, Kayosin=5, Straehan=6, Sumisu=7

target: 1d7 ⇒ 2

ranged touch: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (10) - 4 = 6

Damage: 1 point nonlethal and 1 point fire.

Male Vudrani Human Cleric (cloistered) 3 AC17; Init/Perc: +9T; HP 27/27, F: +8E/R: +6T/W: +11E

Round 1:

The tall Vudrani advances on the goblins and brings his mind blade down on the closest one in a devastating chop.

Mind blade PA on front goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Mind blade PA damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17

DM Ninja/infinite

@Vak: Snict. That one's down.

M

The little man rummages through his loose robes and pulls out a flas of boiling liquid as Tanooki makes for the door. He tosses it in the mids of them, hoping to catch them all.

Goblin:
"You call that a firework?"

Ranged Touch attacking square in the middle of the three goblins: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
DC 16 Reflex save for half, 7 points of damage

Goldilocks pounces on the farthest goblin she can get to, her reach with a disembodied magic head somewhat less spectacular with repeated use.

Two legs can't move a fast I can.

hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Unfortunately the cat is getting used to new combat abilities and misses.

Male Human (augmented) Gestalt Soulknife / Inquisitor 2; AC(armored) AC19/t11/ff18; Init+5* Perc+9; F+3+/R+4/W+7

Braydon advances to the fray, seishin no ha at the ready. He'll swing at one of the more traditionally armed ones.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 <-- Magic, slash
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Not sure if that hits - they would be flat-footed since I was faster, yes?
