Gorn creeps forward, wanting battle, yet wary of the odds. As the arrow strikes true, he takes this as the best chance he'll have. He charges at the nearest goblin, calling no battlecry and singing no song, simply letting his massive sword greet the battle for him.
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 3) + 9 = 17
Moved myself on the map.

ULTRAGEEK |

Gorns attack totally decapitates the goblin, leaving its body lying on the ground. You feel a a form brush past you, and hear. "Aye, greatly appreciate the rescue, but me thinks we should escape while the pieces of filth kill each other" A dwarf, one of the captured ones, stands beside you, gesturing to the fight between the goblins and the orcs

![]() |

Gorn, surprised at this advice, does NOT need to be told twice to get out of a suicidal situation. He nods once. "Aye. Fair enough. One dwarf and one ogre getting out of this alive are two more persons than I expected to make it out of here!"
He does a fighting withdraw, moving back with the dwarf.
Korak, do you wanna re-post the post that was eaten? =)

Korak The Boisterous |

No I was gona wait to see what everybody did, is it only the one dwarf who's free or did they all get free?

Korak The Boisterous |

Goddamn it I forgot to post, my bad. Korak moves towards the dwarves after saying. I won't be leavin' me kin behind if there be a reasonable chance of saveing 'em He pulls his casks out and moves towards them bypassing the dwarf with Gorn and giving each of the slower ones a drink. the last two get
heal: 1d3 ⇒ 1
heal: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Get a bonus 10 feet movement for 4 rounds, and gain 8 temporary hit points for four rounds after which they take four nonlethal damage.
The second two, gain melee bonuses that don't matter and +10 speed boosts for four rounds.

![]() |

Gorn pauses to see if all the dwarves can move now. If not, he'll have to carry some...or all. Or he'll have to fight and hold their escape. Run, carry, or fight. He likes the simple problems.

Korak The Boisterous |

Korak runs after them determined not to get caught up in the slaughter of the goblins.

![]() |

Gorn doesn't need to be prodded to take advantage of jailbreak, and as soon as the last dwarf passes him, he runs after them, playing the rearguard.

ULTRAGEEK |

After exiting the cave, the dwarves continue heading up the trail, until you finally reach your caravan. One of the dwarves heads to the front, to the horses, while the rest pile into the back. "Thanks, we owe ye our lives. Heard some very disturbing things in there, things about defacing the work of the dwarf gods" Shaking his head, the dwarf waits for everyone to get into the wagon, or start walking beside it.

Korak The Boisterous |

Korak climbs up into the wagon, preferring not to walk. Aye? Be they saying anything else ya heard?

Branwen Redwolf |

I don't think I added this to Branwen's profile (I should):
Since being Naomi, Branwen has mellowed out; she thinks before she reacts and accepts help if needed.
She is accepting of other religions, but still believes only in her patron Druantia.
Being a trainer of animals, Branwen fights for the rights of animals and won't defend unless attacked first. Seeing other races just as (sometimes) more intelligent animals, she does the same with people.
Branwen's real motivation is to leave the natural world a better place: to do as much good (good in her eyes) as she can.

Gorn resumes his great ground-eating strides next to the wagon. He listens patiently as the dwarves talk, but figures that this is a topic best left for the dwarves to discuss. He's glad he could rescue them, but has little interest in wars of religion.

ULTRAGEEK |

"The bards been singing a song. Ye heard it? Well, it sings about five heroes who will find the lost three dwarven citadels.Back there in the cave, me's heard some disturbing things. A demon rose from the depths and made a pact with with the goblins. Find the three lost dwarven citadels, convert them into altars for the demon, and the goblins shall be granted immense power. Me's thinking someone should stop them"

![]() |

Gorn replies, since he can see where this is headed. "Wellll, we're kinda on a job right now, but once we deliver our charge, if ye can promise loot t' be found in these citadels, might be worth a ponder."
He keeps walking.

Korak The Boisterous |

Tis not, but if there one things we dwarves be masters of it's stone. Ya can expect them ta have many hidden secrets even if we did find them.

ULTRAGEEK |

"Agreed" The dwarf says, then looks back at the road.
You arrive at your destination with no further delays. Teraster treats each of you as they treat other travelers, except for an added dose of suspicion. Nothing much, just a few double, even triple takes, and the fact that you can hear people talking about the 5 of you behind your back. The only person, or, more appropriately, half-elf, who does not regard you with suspicion is a half-elf by the name of Encinall, who treats you warmly as you deliver the cargo to his trading post. A dwarf takes Korak aside
The dwarf speaks. Names Rathor. Take it you have the letter?

Korak The Boisterous |

Aye. Me name's Korak. It's lucky ye sought me out, in all th' excitement I plum forgot 'bout the letter. Korak pats down his pockets and pulls the letter out.

![]() |

Gorn procures a pitcher of wine--for himself--and, again cupping his massive hand around it, take a seat and address the half-elf in his booming baritone. "Greetings, master elf." Gorn makes no discernment of elf and half-elf. They all look alike to him. "You will find all in order--we came as direct as we could. Of note, we've been paid not a copper for the trip, and was promised payment would come from thine own hands. Hence, 'tis seemly that you have something that belongs to us. If you can but hand over coin now, we shall consider this play concluded, and might consider ventures afurther.
Of note, if you have other work to be done, you will have to make it sweet. Yon dwarf that we rescued from the goblin clutches did speak of ancient tombs besieged by forces dark, and mounds of loot for the taking."

ULTRAGEEK |

"Thanks" Rathor accepts the letter with a gracious nod, deposits some coins in your hand with a wink, and hobbles off.
Encinall, looking embarrassed, speaks. "Sorry about that". He drops a pouch in each of your hands, and speaks again. "If you have a thirst for adventure, than you should see Sektor. Lives near town hall, center of Teraster."

![]() |

How much did he give us?
Gorn looks to the dwarf that they rescued. "Alright, master dwarf, we seem to be free, though there is other employment within our grasp. What is your proposed plan for liberating yon citadels? Have you ken of their location? "
What is the dwarf's name?

ULTRAGEEK |

Each of you get 100 gold pieces
They found the first two citadels. Me's surprised they made it that far. Suspect that they be helped by darker forces, besides the demon.
Maybe that's why the demon made the pact? To get access to darker forces.... From what me can gain, the citadels are on the upper reaches of the mountain.... Oh, and sorry mes forgot to introduce me self. Names Darsk

![]() |

Gorn shakes Darsk's hand and takes another pull on his wine jug. "Now that we have a name, we can get to more important details. Like where they are and how much pay--"
Gorn is interrupted by the arrival of a young halfling full of swagger. Gorn grins. He likes people full of swagger, although this one, a halfling AND a bard, has more reason than most to not deserve it. Still, he motions with one huge finger at the barmaid to set a full cup before the halfling, and holds out his hand again for the shaking.
"Pleased to meet you, young Sektor. Yes, we are between jobs at the moment, though our friend the dwarf was telling us stories of rich citadels full of fat demons waiting to be murdered and plundered of their ill gotten gains.
What end of the adventuring stick do you hold? Are you wishing to accompany us, or do you seek to do the hiring? If you would be the paymaster, then sing well, for heavy must the paychest be to tempt us away from lost citadels."
He takes another swig and waits for the stories to clear up. The dwarf seems to be long on talk but short on details, and if this halfling has solid money to offer, than all the better.
The halfling has the same name as an MK character.

Korak The Boisterous |

Our esteemed GM does not appear to be creative with the names. Please recall the Iconic Ranger is named Harsk. Not that I care. He's taking the time to run a game for us. Thanks!

ULTRAGEEK |

With the knowledge I have gained of the area, I have drawn a map of its possible location. I give you the map, you clear the citadel out, take the treasure, and we split ways. Oddly, Sektors eyes briefly turn red after he finishes the sentence. He seems to notice, and whips his head to one side, so you can not see it anymore. If you agree, I shall give a day for you to get ready. We set off tomorrow
