The Wrath has jumped 4 squares west into the sea with Manny. You will have to swim out there, should you wish to rescue him.
With horrible purpose and legs with coiled muscles, the servant of Dagon leaps away from the heroes, with the prize of the old wizard in its claws. The creature has not dived beneath the surface yet, but you know that it will, the better to drown your elderly friend.

"Oh for the mercy of Bahamut." Grumbles Grafire as he finds him self running into the water after the mage. With out even thinking about it Grafire attempts to stay on the heals of the Wrath.
I take it the water is difficult terane? so hopefully a double move would get me with in reach. At which time I would use a action point.

Here are the rules for swimming:
SWIM
Make an Athletics check to swim or to tread water. Different conditions make swimming harder. See the Endurance skill for information on swimming or treading water for an hour or more.
Swim or Tread Water: Part of a move action.
DC: See the table.
Success: You swim at one-half your speed, or you stay afloat and tread water.
Fail by 4 or Less: Stay where you are and lose the rest of your move action. You can try again as part of a move action.
Fail by 5 or More: Sink 1 square and risk suffocation by drowning (details are in Chapter 9 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide).
Uses Movement: Count the number of squares you swim as part of your move.
Swim Speed: While swimming, creatures that have a swim speed (such as sahuagin) use that speed and do not make Athletics checks to swim.

As the sea is rough, you sink 1 square on your first move. As a second move, you swim up to the surface and a bit further along and you still end up in melee with the Wrath!
Grafire plunges into the sea and comes up gasping for air, as he pushes his bulk through the rough seas to attack the demonic creature. Unfortunately his exertions take the bite out of his axe swing, and he misses.
As the creature wrestles with Manny, sinister energy strikes it, emanating from the other dragonborn.
