Just a heads up guys, due to a boon I gain 10g for bribes and services to be used during the adventure. I can't keep the 10g afterwards and it can't be used to purchase an equipment.

Even though Garil Karela has closed shelved his global ambitions - at least for now - you are still a dedicated member of the extended “family” of trusted operatives he created. At the start of each adventure, you gain a small sum of money equal to 5 x your character level in gold pieces that you can use only for paying bribes, purchasing services, and other business expenses; you cannot use the gold to buy equipment. Any of this gold not spent by the end of the adventure is lost.

So I am clear on PFS AP's, we play through the module but only get the XP for the sanctioned encounters? What does that do to treasure that we might get in the other parts of the module?


First:
Emma, running a sanctioned module, you will get access to the items that are on the chronicle at the end of the module.

As far as what encounters you experience, that is determined by the document that includes the certs. It will tell you what encounters to run (usually they will be a bit more interspersed then this adventure's ones are). I am doing my best to get your group plugged into those encounters as fast as I can, but it will take a bit to set up.

As an aside, playing a normal PFS module in PBP can take upwards of a month. Playing a sanctioned module...Well, when my group did Jade Regent book 5, it took us about 5 months.

Some providers will give you a credit for days they don't provide service. You can ask at least. But yeah that really blows. Best of luck :D

Never having done an AP before, how many levels should we gain by the end of this?

On average, a single 'Society Sanctioned Module' from an AP grants 3 xp (AKA 1 level).

In an AP adventure though aren't there 2 chronicles per part?

Not always. The one I've GMed is Hell's Rebels.

Part 1 has two chronicles because you also get a campaign specific one that affects the rest of the scenarios.

The other parts of it are just 1 chronicle sheet though.

Okay, all, we need to have a discussion about posting requirements.

Typically, one post a day during the weekday is considered the minimum. As always, life will trump this, but at the very least please let us know, so that we're not waiting.

While I *can* just railroad the plot forward, that is not a game I want to run. I need you guys to tell me where you're going and what your doing. I know there have been a couple of times that I have been guilty of the above as well, but we are going to be playing this adventure well into the next year at rate we're going.

We've just gotten into the actual sanctioned part of the adventure, so this is the time to stride forward and be heroes!
