Devil, Amaimon (Interrogator Devil)
Amaimons are wicked and cruel diabolic creatures that take great pleasure in the torture and slaying of other creatures. For this, they are often found serving as inquisitors and “information extractors” under the various dukes of Hell. Their methods of torture vary from amaimon to amaimon but include both standard torture methods (racks, screws, weights) and exotic torture methods (capturing their fiery poisonous breath weapon in vials and injecting it into the bloodstream of a living creature, for example). Amaimons care little for other creatures, including their own kind. They are completely self-absorbed, selfish, and evil.
And you can ask 2 questions about it
"What ever you wisssssh to offer, if it pleasssesssss ussss, we will give you ssssomething in return, if itsssss valuable, we will let you passss"

Turning to his comrades, Bartleby whispers, "How do you want to handle these guys? I am suspicious of their bargain, but we may not have much choice, unless we want to fight. I don't know what they consider valuable, maybe they want our souls.."
Bartleby Nutmeg |
With great reverence Bartleby pulls from his pouch a small ball. Holding it aloft, he declares to the devils in his high pitched voice, "Behold! The lost artifact, the Sphere of AkazkababaKun! This magnificent item, immune and shielded from all magical divinations allows you to keep it secret from those whom you don't want to know about it. It sheds no magical aura, and is conveniently hidden under a bone plate or roll of fat. Better yet, it has the ability to suck the souls from the living and deliver them directly to you, letting you feed from the power. Be warned! It takes some time before it attunes to your aura, and it may be a few days before you will be able to effectively use it, but over time it grows stronger and stronger. You will make pit fiend status in no time! Imagine the envy of your peers, who will soon grovel before you as you wield this mighty artifact. Now, I only have one, so don't fight over it, you two will need to share or figure out who gets it... and don't try anything tricky with me, or I will speak the command word that will destroy it and everything in this room. Yes, its that powerful. I don't have any use for it, I'm basically a good guy, so I don't go around sucking out people's souls, just a little undead makin' now and again. Heheh. But you just might be strong enough to wield the mighty power of this ancient artifact. Empires have risen and fallen due to its might. I am willing to trade it for a reward. No tricks now!"

Special defenses (DR, immunities, etc)
special attacks (breath weapon, grab, constrict, etc)
Bartleby Nutmeg |
Bartleby offers up the mighty artifact the the bony one. "Hey, be very very careful with that. Until you get really strong, it can be unpredictable. I would wait a few days before you try to do anything with it. I am sad to see it go, but I figure you can get good use out of it. We'll just be passing through then eh? Pleasure doing business with you..."
Bartleby makes to move confidently past the devils.

The two demons laugh. And without a word they vanish. You get a feeling that they know more than they were letting on
As you ascend to the top level, you find an empty throne room. A note against a chest of two.
THANK YOU FOR RIDDING MY HOME OF THE PESTS. I LEFT A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU IN THESE CHEST. THIS KEY WILL WORK ON ONLY ONE OF THEM. THE GOLD CHEST IS FILLED WITH MONEY. VERY PLAIN. I KNOW. THE ONE THIS NOT IS ON, IS FILLED WITH EQUIPMENT.
hanging from the note is a key. it glows from the amount of magic on it. Even mundane, non magic users can see it.
When opened it is just as the note said, you see lots of gold. mechanic wise, put your treasure at max for your level
Use what you need to top off your wealth by level and equip gear
I am truly sorry this last part fell through. The two weeks that my internet was down made me fall very far behind work, and i had to catch up. Once again, i am truely sorry for delaying it for so long

"Hmmm, well I guess it worked?"
Later, upstairs, Bartleby looks at the chests. "I guess we are set regardless of which one we take. Huzzah!"
After dividing the loot, and heading back to town. "Meet up for beers later?"
