Hmm. I am seeing new posts fine in the game threat. I am not getting notices of new posts in discussion threads for any of my games. Anyone else having this issue? Any idea why?

Let us savor this rare occasion of being first, with a party member with +10 freaking initiative. Glory to the d20

Seeing that the goblins only seem to be armed with blades correct me if I a wrong the noblemen sets the butt of his longspear in the ground, and hefts the thorwing spear into position.

Letting out a shrill whistle Peform Wind 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Whirperwill Jauhar takes a stance and readies an action. First goblin to move in a threatening manner to me or the cages gets a spear thrown at it.

just in case - Ranged attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11, confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17, damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

adjust for range increment 20 as needed

Ignis centers his mind, then dashes forth from the bush like fire, striking the nearest goblin.

Charge to R21 then attack Goblin

AC drops by 2


The updated map is in under my name, hopefully it will be easier to find.

Augua centers his mind, and like his elemental brethren he rushes forward to attack the nearest Goblin. The Goblin, not expecting the attack is caught unaware. Also the fact that fire is rushing towards him, the Goblin is also slightly entranced by Auga, but at the last second the Goblin realizes Auga as a threat and ducks below the tip of his spear.

Ras, lets out a shrill whistle, if nothing else then to get the Goblin's attention away from the helpless people in the cages. He prepares for any assault coming towards him. The Goblin nearest him obliges and comes rushing towards him. Ras lets loose his readied spear, but overcompensates for the attack and the spear flies harmlessly over the tent nearest Ras.

The goblin hearing the commotion brought on by Minwae, decides to go over to Minwae's cage and remind him that he, Minwae, is the caged animal here and that he should pipe down or else.

Goblin at P-16, seeing an opportunity to gain a better tactical advantage walks by Auga and dares him to stop him. Add +2 if i get flanking. AOO if you can or want it Auga

Goblin at J-16 will walk over to Minwae's cage and open it up and dares Minwae to try something.

EDIT:

All 3 Goblins engaging in combat, are all caught off guard and still trying to wake up and assess the situation all miss their intended targets by a lot.

With my longspear in my non-throwing hand wouldn't I get an AoO on the charaging goblin? I do have quick draw.

If I do - 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20, Confirm 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23, Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

edit add one to hit and damage if I am considered an ally of the gnome at this point.


Ras, I am not near the computer so for now I will say you get the AOO on the charger. You connect all to well with the goblins chest, puncturing its ribcage and he slumps to the ground before he swipes at you. Don't forget to change your actions for round 2 :)

Round 2 redux

Lightly on his feet Jauhar moves around the grizzly remains of the goblin. He trots forward like a hungry wolf. He pauses just for a second looking to his right, seeing prisoners, then to his left seeing the devil creature flanked by foes.

If I help the prisoners, it could be trouble. Starving no doubt they are just as likly to rob me. Though if the devil is killed it is one less concern. Still the numbers would be against me

Moving up to o20 he flanks the goblin, stabbing at it with his longspear. Power attack of course - 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 17, confirm 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 1 + 1 + 1 = 10, damage 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 = 9

Upon seeing a weak spot in the goblin, Ignis takes an opportunistic strike.

Crap, they have me surrounded, but we have them surrounded too.

He strikes again at the goblin Ras is flanking, hoping to bring him down and focus on the one behind him.

Damage 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 = 11

The elf wants out of his cage badly but will draw an attack if he tries to attack without a weapon, or grapple, or just run by. So he tries something else.

Bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 In common he yells Look! A huge shaggy dog! while pointing over the goblins shoulder.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 He then attempts to tumble past the distracted goblin and move towards the newcomers that have shown that as a minimum they are enemies of his enemies, if not his friends.


Your AOO misses, Ras will kill the one you guys flank so I will just apply that attack to the other goblin. Minwae you don't manage to distract but even dispite that you manage to deftly tumble by the goblin an you way out of the confines of the cage. Goblins turn...will post with new map when on comp. Only "cage" goblin still alive.


ROUND 2 PROGRESS:

The Goblin closest to Auga throws caution to the wind adn moves in to get a better position to attack the Fire Creature. Auga seizes an opportunity to attack teh Goblin, but the stab goes wide left of where teh Gobli was supposed to be.

Ras, walks by the two tents, and ponders briefly on whether to help the unknown stranger or take out the known threats. He chooses the immediate danger of Goblins, Ras proceeds to walk calmly up to gain a tactical advantage on the goblin that went to attack Auga. In an attempt to inflict extra pain on the pitiful Goblin, Ras gets all his weight into the thrust, and imaples the Goblin on his spear. The Goblin then falls limp to the ground, blood flowing from the open wound in his carotid artery.

Auga, seeing the Goblin get impaled, obviously decides that the other Goblin, deserves the proper attention. Auga takes aim, and feeling greater confidence then the previous jab, connects squarely with the Goblin, causing a mortal wound, as his adversary crumples to the ground.


ROUND PROGRESS CONTINUED:

The Goblin, upset that Minwae is causing a ruckus strolls over to the cage and opens it up. The Goblin then looks to Minwae and dares him to do something. Minwae obliges and attempts to distract the Goblin, however the Goblin doesn't fall for it one bit. Minwae after the distraction fiasco decides to tumble past the Goblin, and does so with supreme Elven grace and nimbleness.

The Goblin, very frustrated by the fact that Minwae tumbled past without even breaking a sweat, decides to try and return the favor, and takes a swing at Minwae.

The Goblin hears the fart, and for some uncontrollable reason, falls to the ground laughing hysterically.

I thought it was creature type, and both you and goblins are humanoid creature types. Am I wrong in that reasoning?

All the goblins are dead, and your search trey shows no signs of a larger tribe at this point.

EDIT: The 5 of you see 4 tents, and a firepit with the recent remains of some forest critter in the pit.

Min will search the goblin that let him out of his cage for the key he must have used, picking up that goblin's weapon as he searches and says I am Minwae, adventurer and treasure seeker. I am not sure how I came to be in this cage, and am grateful for your timely attack that let me slip out. I am hopeful that my armor, sword and other possessions are in this camp somewhere. And who might you three be?

If he finds the key he will attempt to use it to free the gnome.

As Fizzy arms himself he gives Ras the most elaborate bow anyone has ever seen. Then places his hand over his ample belly as he awaits the others.

Perhaps you have need of a massively talented gnome?

Fizzy gives the bow a test pull and finds it is too hard for him. He returns the bow and arrows.

since we have now comandeered this site let us make use of what it has to offer. We can at least be comforted by the fire as we learn about how and why these two were in the capture of the goblins.

Once all are present

Let us begin with a prayer. Beloved Sarenrae we ask your blessing on this group and the foods we are to consume may it heal and nourish our bodies and minds

As she finishes a wave of healing hits the group healing everyone for 1d6 ⇒ 6 HP.

The wound on Minwae's leg completely closes, leaving only a cut in the fabric and a brown stain. My thanks to you Trey and to the Lady.

The rogue shimmies into his armor which fits like a glove and checks all his gear as he adds it back to his backpack and harnesses. Everything I had seems to be here. he confirms. These goblin weapons would do in a pinch, but are not sized right for me. Maybe we can sell um?
