Aukan Knows-No-Fear |

I am Aukan Knows-No-Fear! Damn your Duke! The Dwarves stand firm! Aukan bellows and struggles feebly against his bonds trying to act the part of drunken prisoner. At least the prisoner part anyways, he did have quite a bit of beer before coming to the barracks.

Karl Gufstass |

We brought him in. I told you who I was, Karl Guftass, priest of Frey, at your service. I was hoping that I could be of service, beyond bringing in this derelict, to the troops.

GM Helaman |

Red Team: Yeah - Okay, Bounty Hunters, I get it, says the older one - a sergeant. Thing is all you've done is drag him in here - we'll jail him, sure but there ain't no bounty on bringing in idiots disturbing the peace or stirring up trouble - you should have called in the guys patrolling your area instead.
Blue Team: door is unlocked. It opens into a large room empty room, almost an assembly hall or similar, 70ft long and 30 wide. There are doors to the left and to the right.

Magnus Corvus |

Looking over to Liam, Magnus points to the door on the right, then quietly moves towards it. Once Liam has joined him, he slowly pulls it open enough to look inside.

Liam Kali |

ohh no, we have vanished from the map....I know we are inside
Liam keeps a hand on the hilt of his blade getting ready for a fight as he follows Magnus. next door then? he whispers.
Liam moves toward the door, taking a position against the wall beside the door. he listens carefully for any sounds on the other side.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Karl Gufstass |

I do not offer sermonizing. I offer my services as a healer and a faithful ear to those who wish to receive the blessings of Frey. I am sure that the injuries to the men will increase with attempts to wrangle the stalwart dwarfs in the days to come. Can I speak with a more senior ranking member of your forces?

Karl Gufstass |

Not so fast! Mahap we will not turn over our prisoner until we are justly rewarded, or at least recognized for our efforts, my good man.
Karl tugs on the bound hands of Aukan and pulls him away from the doors. He then looks to Astrid. With his hand holding the bonds close to his person he begins to loosen them ever so much so that Aukan can be quickly free if necessary.
You see, this one is a load of trouble as you surmised, and while we are in favor of supporting our good Duke's warnings, we need to be rewarded for our troubles, even if it is only to speak with Draco Stormsailor. We would be happy to wait near his quarters, if he is not present at the moment. We can hold onto this big fella ourselves until then.
Persuasion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Aukan Knows-No-Fear |

YOU DOUBT MY BATTLE SPIRIT! AUKAN KNOWS-NO-FEAR WILL BITE YOUR PUNY HEAD OFF! Aukan lunges at the men, hoping that Astrid and Karl will hold him back, Aukan is trying to distract the men enough to give the other team time to find what they are looking for.
YOUR DUKE IS A PUNY CHILD-MAN WITH A WEAK SPIRIT! FACE ME! Aukan begins working himself up into a rage!
If needs be Aukan will charge straight at the men trying to bowl them over

GM Helaman |

You raise a good friend Karl - I can't get you an audience with the boss. Simply can't happen but I can get an officer down here once the men come back to help with this bellowing idiot but I tell you straight, all that you are likely to get is a word of thanks
You want help? Right you are missy and kicks Aukan squarely in the balls!
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Advantage for being held back by the party.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Ohh a crit. Fits the narrative too. Take 6 points of damage Aukan.

GM Helaman |

We'll see the next few Red Team posts and throw back to blue team
Blue Team: A long ornate table with 14 straight backed chairs occupies the center of the room. Six soft armchairs are in the corners, a buffet with a collection of fine silver and crystal tableware stands against one wall, and a long trophy case is opposite it. There is a door to the north and another set in the side wall to the north east. There are four fine paintings hanging on the walls and two excellently crafted carpets on the floor.
Standing in the room is a servant dusting who turns to look at you both inquisitively.

GM Helaman |

1d20 + 4Ohh a crit. Fits the narrative too. Take 6 points of damage Aukan.
I'm gonna go a little 'Fate' here. Aukan if you roll with the cheap shot and accept the 'Incapicated' condition for 1d6 ⇒ 5 rounds I'll give you an inspiration point to use later. Call it RP and story building

Karl Gufstass |

Karl pulls Aukan back after the blow, and he sits him down leaning him against the building.
Thanks, we will care for the prisoner whilst you get an officer down here so that we can have a talk. Astrid and I can look over him until then.

Magnus Corvus |

Magnus quickly places a sleep charm on the servant before he can call out.
Sleep: 5d8 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 1, 6) = 19
Once out Magnus moves him into one of the chairs that is not immediately obvious if someone just walks by.
"Ok, now where to?", he whispers to Liam

Karl Gufstass |

Hands off, gentlemen. This is our prisoner, and will remain so until we speak to your superiors. Do you expect us to allow you all of the credit?
Karl tugs Aukan to his feet and steps back.

GM Helaman |

Three of the guards surround Aukan, along with the Sergeant.
Right you are priest - seems you aren't getting it - there is no bounty, no reward and this is now our prisoner but if you need an officer to point it all out to you again then so be it.
He motions to the fourth guard and directs him to get an officer. The guard starts jogging - not inside the building but towards the side of it as if meaning to go around the back.
Blue and Red teams are now sync'ed - sorta. Lets roll on

Karl Gufstass |

Karl maintains his position as he too is surrounded by the guards. He slips off the bonds of Aukan and says a prayer to Frey as he touches his hands.
Frey! Shower Aukan with the blessing of your healing touch.
Cure Wounds: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Liam Kali |

hey all still here, finally some time off from work.
Liam takes a second to survey the situation, whatever we will be needing isn't gonna be out in the open, we need to find some private area, an office perhaps. Liam tries to figure out which, if any, of the doors most likely would lead to offices or even a commander's bunk area.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
investigation: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Liam Kali |

you really want me to steal the silverware don't ya? ok I'll bite
as Liam is deciding which way to go, he instinctively grabs a set of the silverware from the table and pockets it. Astrid might like these, girls like this kind of stuff, I think
I say that way. pointing to the Northwest door.

Magnus Corvus |

Magnus shakes his head as Liam swipes the silverware.
"Remind me never to leave you alone in my family home!" he whispers with a smile as he heads towards the northwest door.
Placing his ear to the door, he listens for any sounds from within.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Not hearing anythng (and with a 4 I doubt I would hear a dragon battling an army of knights!), he slowly opens the door and peeks inside.

GM Helaman |

Sorry - its North EAST door but this wont slow things down - at this point I'll need some stealth rolls but will give you advantage
Magnus Stealth + 2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 or 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Liam Stealth + 3 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 or 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Creeping silently to the door to the North east they open it softly.
It appears to be a study. Two comfortable chairs, a desk with a simple wooden chair, and two bookshelves are the furnishings of this room. The desk is strewn with papers, and many books are on the shelves. There is a door to the north.
Red Team: Its going to take a minute or two to fetch an officer but feel free to post anything you want such as banter with each other or with the guards

GM Helaman |

It is a bunch of requisition forms - 500 suits of leather armour, 500 short swords, 150 crossbows, 3000 quarrels, and 200 shields. Additionally there are requisitions for hundreds of sacks of beans and flour and equally high amounts of cheese.
A sheet separate from the pile is an order, signed by Draco Stormsailor, authorising the drafting of 600 men at arms from the city's population.

Magnus Corvus |

Magnus grabs all the papers and then examines the desk for any hidden drawers or even regular drawers!!
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Investigation: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Not sure which skill to use, so rolled both

Liam Kali |

Liam, seeing Magnus take the books, remind me never to take you to a library. he says jokingly in return for the comment about the silverware.
anything among those papers? I doubt it would be that easy though.
That order to draft the men, when was that written? it might be useful later.
Liam then goes to the door to the North. listen carefully as to what may be on the other side.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
if it seems safe Liam will crack open the door.
