Ranged crossbow has a massive range, like 120ft. The good Deputy is easily within it.

Up to you Master Quarrelwick but I imagine a solid shot like that would finish off the darn skulker!

I'm putting Vhillish shot on Zalatha because the dwarf is supposed to be on the other side of the mist still. You can't see through that stuff.

Janna sees the visible thugs are taken care of, she quickly moves up hear Damien, the mist preventing her to get a bead on anyone.

Whispering to Damien, i can't see anything, do you have a target close by?

her hands seem to crackle with electricity as she readies a spell.

it was a double move to get there so no casting this round

Round 2

Jerrid moves and then moves again to get near the action. He hunkers down behind a tree stump in the grasses waiting to see what magic tricks come soon. He listens out for the sounds of casting to get a bearing on the target mage.

Jerrid hears that Jarra the sorceress, still on horseback in the center of the mist, is in fact chanting the verbal components to another spell.

Round 2 - Lannet

Lannet ducks as Leoven's eagles pass him while he's running to attack the half-orc. He watches the eagle's tear up the enemy.

Forgetting he has a dagger clutched in his teeth he tries to talk anyway.

"Hey you Births! I wath going to thtab that guy!"

He throws his dagger at the elven monk instead.

Dagger: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 miss


Round 2 - Gorar

The pony rounds the bend around the mist now dragging the prisoner behind it. Gorar ends up 15' from Janna and Damien. The dwarf chucks a hammer at Damien up on the tree roots.

Light Hammer: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 hit!
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Damien takes 7 damage


Round 2 - Zalatha

Zalatha steps back into the mist and takes a shot at Damien's general vicinity.

The elven monk draws back his bow and fires on Kevezyat Fane.

Uh Leo, you don't have selective channel or anything do you? with the two hal-orcs nearby that seems a terrible idea. Oh and I'm sure DMG would appreciate a round header :)

Round 3

The veteran shrugs off the dwarf's hammer only to have a bolt slam into his shoulder from the depths of the mist. The impact nearly knocking Damien off the tree entirely, a sharp cry of pain escaping from his lips. Struggling to make out his attackers within the spell, Damien quickly hops off of the tree, dragging his hammer around in a wide arc and smashing it into the mounted dwarf with all the strength left to him.

"The bastards are all on the edge! Pick one and bring them down. I'd start with the blasted elf!"

Turning from the dwarf, he shoots a sharp look to Janna, "Please tell me you have a way to fry a few of them? Just aim for closest edge!"

Move Action : Hop off the log and move to clear attack lane on the dwarf.

Janna advances a bit keeping the birds between her and the dwarf. she approaches the mist making out shapes within it's edges. her hands crackling with energy.

Time for the local forecast... looks like death counts rising into double digits tonight... and a fan of electrical energy shoots out into the mist.

buring hands converted to electrical.. should catch Zalatha and Vorgya

Sam round 3
Sam moves to the north part of the cloud. He was prepared to go in soon. He tries to drag Lannet with him.

I didn't even have to use a smoke pellet or stick. They smoked themselves.

Kevezyat pirouettes slightly, yanking her sword from the torso of the falling half-orc,the light in his eyes flickering out in disbelief.

Turning to the right, she sees the other half-orc torn to pieces by the bright birds. Quickly surveying the battlefield, she sees Damien get hit hard by the rogue emerging from the mist.

"Damien, get under cover!" she cries as an arrow strikes her high on the chest, but is turned away by her armor.

Flicking her sword, the half-orc's life blood splattering on the ground, she stalks forward, stepping in front of the military man, "Stay behind me for now...Janna don't get to close!"

Damien smiles grimly as the paladin steps between him and the rogues. His speech hides a wet gurgle, "Much obliged...think the damn thing nicked a lung."


Vorgya screams in rage at the electrical shock.

Behind her in the mist the silence suggests that Zalatha has avoided her fate with a quick dodge.

The dwarf slumps and slides off his pony after meeting Damien's hammer. He goes limp on the ground.

The pony looks confused. The prisoner dragged behind it struggles against his bonds.

Once next to her on her horse, he points a claw at her face and begins a string of guttural tones, rising until a black ray blasts away.

"Gurdak lacram undra!"

20ft move into mist next to mage (draw AoO) and cast blindness, Fort save DC14

Mage - in theory. He is right next to Jerrid. I am hoping the horse isn't combat trained - yikes.


Oh, don't worry about her, she isn't wielding any melee weapons, so she isn't threatening you. The horse has melee attacks, so he's threatening you (bite and hoofs) but I usually don't have horses take their attacks like that, I think it gets cheesy.

Jarra's horse rears up as Jerrid appears behind it in the mist casting his spell.

Jarra flashes an evil grin as she shrugs off the effects of the deep gnomes magic.

Finishing her own spell, a fire beetle appears next to Jerrid to flank with Korungra. The bug takes a chomp at the gnome.

bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Jarra pulls on the reigns and attempts to trample the deep gnome.

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

The horse knocks Jerrid to the ground.

Jarra casts another spell, and missiles of eldritch energy flashes at the gnome.

The elven monk strikes out at the two eagles harrying him.

Korungra

The half orc cleric brings down his mace on Jerrid.

The male and female rogue withdraw, disappearing in the mist.
Vorgya fires a parting shot at Janna.

Sam steps into the mist toward the cleric and sees him looking at an eagle. Seeing the orc distracted Sam stabs with two daggers, one magic and his trust apple cutting dagger.
