"Huh?" Sadie looks startled and looks down to see what's helping her.

Strange... nothing seems to be there, but there is something there.

"You three, what would your father say if he saw the gym like this? I hope you know how to clean it up, and quickly. Before someone else gets hurt." Vai shakes slightly at being so forward in front of a stranger, but the kids needed scolding.

Already a bit shaken by Sadie getting hurt, the three mutter a "Yes ma'am" and look at each other.

"Matthias?"

"I know. Go turn the bubbles off." A weird shimmer, like what you might see above a fire, shows up next to him. He gestures at the bubbles and they begin to pop. The soapy remains dry up fairly quickly.

Ehos takes a moment to think. A cardcaster in his mind... he didn't like that idea. If he gave a cardcaster permission to enter his mind... there's no telling what he might do. Then again... if he ever wanted to stop hurting people...

Ehos nods tentatively.

Noticing Ehos' hesitation, Ryo carefully reaches out to touch the new student's mind.

Confusion and a little suspicion blanket Vai's mind, and she gives voice to those feelings, saying incredulously, "Why would you want to talk to me?"

Sadie sighed. Well, it wasn't like she could humiliate herself any worse. Might as well get it over with.

"Because I like you. I mean like, like like. You're pretty and graceful and sweet and that curtsy you always do is so adorable...and now you probably think I'm some weird creepy stalker person. Just please don't pity me. The last girl I liked is only still friends with me because she feels sorry for me and she won't ever hang out with just the two of us any more and I don't think I can take any more pity. If...if you want me to just leave you alone you can just say so," she finished miserably.

Ryleh nodded. "You've both been very helpful. I am going to speak to the rest of the ones on this list and a few more perhaps who specialize in magic and then I'll call a meeting of those who wish to help and we can come up with a proper plan. Also, don't explain too much to Nasima. Khoda can access any information that is in her mind. Don't ask her if she's okay with having an aschen around, Ephebe. Tell her that I said it was necessary. She promised to do as I asked without question in this matter."

Fei remains behind while Vai takes Sadie to the Infirmary to finish mending her ankle. Once the floor is dry, he reclaims his boots from the entrance and walks over to the three children, as nobody has come to claim them yet (which he finds a bit alarming).

"I believe I need to escort the three of you to whomever is responsible for you. "

Fei has no earthly idea who these kids are, other than recognizing their laughing as that of the children from the other day in the garden (though he never saw them).

Vai instantly turns scarlet. She likes me? Completely taken aback, Vai stammers for a second, then stops to collect herself. No one had EVER told her that they liked her. She definitely wasn't expecting it from a girl. She tries to start again, speaking slowly and calmly, but her face is still full of colour. "I'm flattered," she begins, "but I don't even know your name. And... to be perfectly honest... there are some things is my past... I might never be able to have..." Vai looked away, even more embarrassed.

Sadie blushed red enough that not even her dark skin was enough to hide it.
"Oh. Right. Name. I never told you. Ugh....I swear I'm able to put together whole sentences in a reasonably understandable order in other circumstances. I'm Sadie. Sadie Jhiwoon."
"I...I'm sorry. Nothing about this has gone quite right. I...I didn't mean to be pushy. I....I've made a total mess of things, huh? Look, I'm not going to pressure you about anything...I just.....do you think maybe you could at least give me a chance? Not like dating or anything," she added hurriedly. "I mean, that would be rushing things and all. But I was hoping maybe....at least get to know each other better? If...if that would be alright...."

Yu makes his way to the Creation lab. Again, he does this as if he has been at the school for years. He stops in front of the door and straightens his suit, then knocks.

Ephebe sends an aschen with a note tied around his neck to explain what he was and why he was there to Nasima with firm instructions not to mess up anything but the stone on penalty of no coffee for a month. Satisfied that her minion would behave himself she yawned.

"So tired. And I have to get up early tomorrow cause Fi wants to take us shopping."

Ryleh looked at the list and sighed. Well, sooner begun, sooner done. She headed for the lab which seemed to be the place where Jim Rivets spent all his time.

On the way there she stopped, certain someone was watching her. She looked around and spotted a small fox trying to sneak away.

"You. You are on my list. I need to speak with you. Do not walk away while I'm speaking to you."

"Awwwww, man! I cannot catch a break today," Keme whined.

Jim Rivets does indeed seem to spend most of his time there.

Did you ever come up with a semi-list of things Aananda wanted? Like, Homunculus ordered and whatnot? As I was writing this post up, I envisioned an all-homunculi surgical team, packmates taking scalpels and whatnot out of their own bodies, only to replace them once the operation is finished into an ultra-sonic cleaner full of isopropyl alcohol. Ooh, Ooh! Jim can even be the clean room!

Here's the thing with that, nanite medical technology makes surgeries obsolete. All it takes is one homunculus with nanites and the ability to program them and administer them, usually via a hypodermic. She wants to see one of these in action and then she's going to try to figure out how to make a homunculus that doesn't have to be linked to anyone's life force.

Aside from that, mostly what she asked him to work on was stuff for the danger room. Feel free to be creative there. Golems, deadly traps, machines to create artificial weather, artificial gravity, etc. Advanced PE is about to get worse. :)

...he thinks to himself. He makes a subtle adjustment in his knuckle, and knocks again. "Hello?" he calls out tentatively.

Man, Jim has quite the blind spot for Yu. :-p

When Yu-Nyin opens the door, he sees the adamantine figure working away on a larger iron figure. A few smaller golems are working on different parts of the golem, goofing around occasionally, and throwing tools between each other masterfully, a true ballet of creation.

Sorry about that, I got caught up in my work. He gestures to the Iron Golem in potentia.

If Fei knew of the work Aananda and Jim were doing with the homunculus, we could see it in action on Sadie. :P

I just realized, for regular injuries, this would mostly free up the school nurse. Of course, there are the odd cases of polymorph, and curses, etc, but she'll be that much more often available to deal with them.

Quick reminder, Aananda told you earlier she thought this guy was suspicious and this is a restricted lab. So you're probably going to be in trouble later. Vakkler will enjoy your presence in detention. :P

He bows again. He does not attempt to enter the lab, another show of manners.

Jim can't help but note that there is a spray of mostly-dried blood all over this guy's suit, face, and sunglasses.

Nasima finds herself on a balcony in her mom's castle, high in a towering cumulus cloud in the Plane of Air. Below her, in the courtyard, is a tremendously handsome young prince, dressed rather too flamboyantly for her taste, but still; those eyes, those perfectly full and sensual lips. That, um, posterior. Who...is he?

As if able to read her mind, he slowly looks up at her, offhandedly tossing his bangs out of his eyes, his silky hair somehow sitting just oh-so perfectly off his forehead, allowing him to gaze up at her.

"Nasima." he sighs "It's been so long. I've been waiting to meet you for forever."

The sylph scowls inwardly, but keeps her face a carefully-practiced mask of neutrality. "I'm sorry, sir, but you have the advantage of me. Should I know who you are?"

Yu looks at Jim, takes off his sunglasses, and then looks at them. His eyes get big. "TA! MA! DE!" He swears. "So sorry! Haha! Another student, a very tall and strong one who is called 'Enre', was demonstrating his Powers to me. He can make holes in himself and close them, which not many others can do. He can also do this with great pressure, such that many objects could not withstand said pressure. He was unable to demonstrate this latter Power. But he demonstrated the first one, which is what must have caused this. Oh! This is embarrassing."

There is a long pause.

"I should...go to the bathroom...and clean up. I will return! Pardon me. So sorry to interrupt." He bows again and turns to walk away up the hall, towards the bathrooms.

Yu ducks into the boys' room. After taking a moment to ensure it is empty, he heads over to one of the stalls. Once there, he enters and closes it. A weird hissing noise starts, along with a faint pop. There is a beep, then Yu steps back out, his suit and skin and shades now all perfectly, immaculately clean once again. He smiles at his reflection, and takes a moment to think.
