Grammaton Cleric Royston
Royston hears the older Prof go over the history of the empire, talking of quit a few things that Royston did not know, he filled the facts away.
"I must congratulate you on the depth of your knowledge professor, you seem far more deserving of that title than me. Many things you have just spoken of I myself did not know. Let me add to your knowledge, and tell you of an event, a small atrocity by the standards of the empire, one probably only noted in some feel report. Once there was a city, the city of the unfeeling. For that was what we called ourselves, we all started as something else and chose to join the sect of the unfeeling, once selected we where subjected to a process, and reborn into the form you see before you know. Once transformed we became part of the whole. A culture of near perfect harmony, where the turbulence to life coursed by uncontrolled emotion was controlled. After my rebirth I was designated the role of Grammaton Cleric, imprinted and trained with the kills and tools to investigate and eradicate dangers from with in and with out to the city of unfeeling, and there where dangers. No system made by mortal hands is perfect professor, it was my and my fellow Grammaton cleric's role to maintain the equilibrium of the city. This we fid well, for the would the city of unfeeling was hidden on, had others living on its hard and uncaring surface, barbaric tribes, warlords and others seeking to take what ever they felt they could.
Such is the way with an outlaw world, out of reach of the empire dos not always mean safe. So the atrocity, the emperor always seeks more, and his eyes we must have seemed like something of use he could control. How the empire found out about us I have yet to discover but they did, coming on mass, to demand we bow in fear to the emperor and place ourselves subject to his edicts. The council meet and said no, to fear was to feel, and that broke the 1st law of our culture. The empire did not take the rejection well, swiftly attacking, there objective simple, with out the power of fear, they had no control, and what they could not control they must eradicate. It was to be genocide, our complete inhalation. I and my fellow Grammaton's fought as best we could not to win, that was impossible for we where greatly out gunned and numbered, but to buy time, time so that some of the unfeeling could escape. This I did until non where left where I was, the last standing Grammaton as ordered I set a random teleport and detonated a device that shatter our world, leaving the Empire only a cinder in space. This was my 1st so called crime by the empire, after that they hunted us, some hid, some sort to start anew well away from the reach of the Emperor, but My last order was to fight the empire until my death, this I have done for over 400 years, seeking out any and all who stand and fight it. Along the way the empire has labeled me a terrorist leader, a mass killer, and a large number of other things, most by their thinking true. Most of it true, I have help planed atrocities, trained insurgence to kill and attack the empire in 1000s of ways. I have killed empire spy's and agents, I have committed mass murder of its troops. So much so the emperor himself wishes me dead. On the news networks I am the bogeyman they use to strike fear in their ranks. 'The 'uncaring monster' who heads up a vast terrorist network. If only that was true, of late I was leading a net work of sorts, then there was an attempt on the emperors life, who ever did it was foolish but brave, if it had worked then good. But it failed and the purges started, it's hard to keep a network when the space station its on is blasted to bits. Again blamed on my, but imperial hands did that. I was not there, I was contacted and told I was needed here, the 'heart of change' where the words used. Up until then I had heard nothing of this place, no one had. So that's my story, I came here as it's the only place left for me to go and this if my contact is right, is the hart of change."
All this is said in a even and flat tone, matter of faculty, Royston looks at you, studying your reactions.
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys
"Well. This is..."
"New?" Gian chimes in.
"Inevitable." Nero adds with a narcicistc smirk.
He sighs as they come back...
"Unexpected." He replies to them insistently.
"So would you like to meet around 7-8ish? Front of the school. We could walk down. I could possibly fly us if you want."

First I think I had a misspelling in my post (was supposed to say definately not defiantly) I think you probably understood what I said anyway.
Ok, but first, I'm sorry If I made you feel uncomfortable.
Lang takes a deep breath and tells the story...
"far off to the east of this school is a small village by the name of Po. the village sits in a low valley not far from the Eastern Sky temples where I am from. In this village is a small shrine to the water spirit, Po, the same name as the village.
I remember that this shrine was special becuase it had this old rusty tin roof that sometime leaked when it rained and it was the only shrine in the region with such a covering. and everytoime it rained the raindrops would pound on the tin roof keeping everyone nearby awake.
and when the rains where heavy the valley would flood causing the villagers to sometime evacuate to the shrine as it was the highest ground in the village. but all that flooding made the ground perfect for growing rice.
Anyway one day a little boy and his mother went to vist the shrine. It was exactly 1 year after the boy's father had died of a wasting disease. While visiting the shrine, the rains started. but this time the rains came fast and heavy.
the little boy clinged to his mother afraid that the whole village would be washed away in the flood. and that he would loose his mother forever.
as it so happened, that on that day a monk of the sky temple was also visiting the shrine that day. he saw the little boy afraid and went to him. kneeling beside him, he asked whay are you afraid?
"I am afraid of the rain and the lightning and the thunder, I am afraid it will take the rest of my family away." the boy replied tearfully.
the monk laughed. "you should not fear such things. the water spirit Po protects this village and all of its people. you see, Po saw you and your mother were very sad and you came here to pray. Po heard your prayers and answered with the rain.
the looked confused "how is that supposed to help?" he asked.
the monk replied, "your sadness and sorrow has filled the air with negative Chi. and Po is a spirit of positive chi. so he sent the rain to clean the air. and he sent the lightnng to destroy all the sorrow so the air of the village can be filled with joy again."
the boy looked confused becuase he still felt sad about his father.
finally the monk asked the boy "can you cry in the rain?"
the boy said "of course you can, that is a silly question."
The monk responded "are you sure? how do know the difference between your tears and the raindrops?"
The looked at the monk with wonderment. the water spirit was a smart one. he could wash away sadness with the rain.
The monk looked to the boys mother then back to the boy. "child?" he asked, "would like to come with me to the sky temples and learn the ways of the spirits and of the air benders?"
the boy looked to his mother, she nodded in approval. Then the boy nodded to the monk. and when the rain had stopped the boy and the monk climbed aboard a giant Owl and headed toward the temple.
Lang takes her hands and looks her in the eyes.
So you see Midori, the rain and the lightning is just Po the water spirit cleaning the air of our sorrow and sadness. and destroying it forever. and that is why I wanted to go out in the rain. I believe you cannot cry in the rain. I wanted Po to wash away all the sadness I had today. and I wanted you to help fill the rest of my day with joy.
I will leave it to her to figure out who the boy in the story is

He akwardly tries to put in the nicest terms that the torch and pitchfork store might get a boost in sales over the snail person arriving in town...especially after their last couple days.

"I guess we'll see. I have a jacket that hides my wings and claws and stuff. My dad made it so I wouldn't get beat up so much. I still use it when I go into town. I used it at the school for a while until I was convinced that there are worse things than having wings."

"i... I should have tried to help..."

"Yes you have... Oh, wait, no you haven't.... Let me re-introduce myself. I'm marcell harmoinus. I came here to awaken my sorcerous nature, and you helped by putting me under a spell. I still have the symbol on my back, if you want to see..."
Weren't you....human?" Treisdan says puzzled ..... "and male?"
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys
"Well. There's angry people. Covered that." He says with a small laugh.
"There's a nice place a little near the center of town. They have good food and a lot of people go there for stuff like this. Fancy dress. A little expensive, but as bad as my parents and there job is, it pays well, so that isn't a problem. Outside near the center of town there is a plaza with a fountain. A lot of nights there are musicians playing there. Theres a big church to Serenrae and Gian says it is really amazing, if you like that sort of thing. There's a good district for shopping. I go there sometimes when I need something, but I don't make a habit of shopping. It's nice place most of the time. I heard that some bad stuff was going down yesterday, so they might be a little off, but it shouldn't be so bad."
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys
"It's pretty nice. It's starting to pick up more and more since the factories got up and running. Things are going well, despite the weirdness the school brings on the poor people down there."
