"Hey, look at these," Morthak says as he looks at the papers.

"Maybe not why we're here, but... a mystery to solve. Yeah?"

He looks at the letters further.

"Hm. No dates. Wonder how long these have been here? This has to be part of the test, right?"

Chorlo will look over the documents, "Might be something to take back with us to the VC." Chorlo goes back to the area with the board to cross.

. The papers chronicle the personal exploits of Selmius Foster, a famous Pathfinder whose name you recognize from your training as Pathfinder agents and from conversations with Janira Gavix in the Wounded Wisp. Most of Foster’s more infamous adventures appear here in varying amounts of detail, but it is evident there is another investigation he had been pursuing before he died: the lost records of a Society agent named Eylysia.

See Player Handouts #1 and #2
which detail Selmius’s thoughts on the matter and an appended note from Adolphus.
Together, these reference three major leads Foster had found but never had time to investigate properly.

Do we know how long ago Foster died? Was it recent? Or a long time ago?

I cant seem to find anything on it in the module.

It looks like you have a few choices of where you want to go. Anyone have a preference.

Who’s to say that it’s not that he wouldn’t talk, but couldn’t talk? If Dreng was this secretive about this assignment, maybe there is more going on that we are about to find out?

I think there is a typo in the description: "...a rusty simple lock. of monthly copies..." sounds like something is missing in the middle there. I'm assuming the "monthly copies" are some kind of mail that is piling up?

Morthak looks into the house, and examines the door.
