The party moves through the forest towards the fire, as they get within the limits of Niyut's sight. Through the trees and undergrowth, she struggles to catch a glimpse of the camp sight. She sees what appears to be the same scenario. The hooded witch mumbles over the fire while the orc warrior sits idly by watching over the shrouded humanoids.

You are currently 120' to the southeast of the campsight.

Activating Speed Surge as a swift action, followed by a triple move action. Also using Stealth while moving at more than half speed, but less than full speed, so a final distance of 210 feet can be covered as a result of his movement. Starting from the square diagonally down-right from Niyut's current position, Garidan moved a total of 185 feet to his final position.

As they draw closer to the fire and the two (hopefully) unwitting targets waiting there, Garidan concentrates on the essence-granted magic within him and begins to move at a rapid pace. Only the need to conceal his presence keeps Garidan from going flat-out, but even so, the magic hastening his feet lets him cover a significant distance in but a few heartbeats. While he does his best to muffle his movement, Garidan can only hope that nobody can actually pierce the veil hiding from him from sight, otherwise this might turn out to be embarrassingly fatal for the swashbuckler. Soon enough, the young man slides up into blade's reach of the witch, his rapier poised and ready over her back.

I know what I'd like to do next, but I can't see that the rules will quite permit what I have in mind. So I'm hoping, Valjoen, that you'll give me a house ruling on it in the name of "rule of cool." What I want to do is use Garidan's targeted strike ability to pop the witch in the back of head, causing confusion for 1 round in addition to (nonlethal) damage. But I'd like to deliver the strike in such a way that it also forces her forward into the fire for added chaos and mayhem. His goal is to absolutely shut down her spellcasting for as long as possible, while hopefully distracting the guard enough that someone else can creep up and get a free shot in there.

Trusting the knowledge gleaned from his twin's dream, Truk'tosh prepares for war. First, the druid performs a battle-prayer to Mylesar - a short series of gestures emulating the blows of a heavy weapon and a wordless chant. The effect is subtle but powerful as the grip on his weapon becomes tighter and his movements more sure. Second, the druid calls on spirits of air to wrap him in a cloak of winds. The nightblood serving the hag didn't have any archers among them during the last encounter but he wasn't taking any more chances.

Extended Divine power. Cloak of winds.

@Niyut - Yes.

@Garidan - Bullrush, if you want to try that.

As Garidan sneaks into the encampment and circles behind the unsuspecting witch, Truk'tosh cloaks himself in the winds of the plane of air. The cold breeze tingles his skin. The group looks for any movement or recognition that Garidan is detected, but see nothing to alarm them.

Unfortunately, a bull rush and a targeted strike are different action types, so that idea is out. Oh well.

Taking careful aim, Garidan shifts his grip on the hilt of his rapier just a bit, then brings his loaded left fist around in a looping punch that stops only when it meets the back of the witch's head, the weapon's guard making contact with a wince-inducing sound as it strikes flesh. Recovering from the blow and shifting into a proper fighting stance, Garidan warily watches both the witch and the (hopefully) unaware guard to see what the results of his stealthy attack were.

First, a free action to use Weapon Versatility to deal bludgeoning damage (in case it matters). Then, taking a full-round action to make a targeted strike against the witch's head, with the intent of confusing her for one round if the attack succeeds. Dealing nonlethal damage, and using Power Attack and active Precise Strike (for a cost of 1 panache and a swift action) for additional damage. Finally, another free action use of Weapon Versatility to shift to piercing damage.

I misread the natural 20 result to be the 18 next to it, lol. By the time I noticed otherwise, it was too late to edit. But 59 points of nonlethal damage, plus 1 round of confusion, and whatever Valjoen slaps on for the natural 20 is a pretty good result for an opener. If the witch isn't down, she's probably wishing she were :D.

Valjoen didn't specify, but Garidan was acting on Niyut's desire to take the witch prisoner and inflicted nonlethal damage with that attack, so I'd guess that Garidan crit-punched the witch right into the land of "Knocked the F%&@ Out." Depending on the current hitpoints that the witch had at the time, Garidan might well have rendered her unconcious even without the crit, and now the figure is merrily face down in a fire that's dealing lethal damage in any case.

Is everyone on Round 2 now, Valjoen? Because that's all I'm waiting for myself.

Yes, Raektov won't leave Malthazir's side as is too far from the fire to cast a spell.

I am more than happy with that. He's too low a level to be that impactful and I'd rather keep him safe.

Stumbling under the unexpected blow, Garidan unthinkingly casts his head from side to side in an attempt to see what, or who, struck him. But 'Ruza's vision detects nothing immediately in range. Further out, however, the flickers of indistinct motion that are visible are unnerving, and the swashbuckler flinches aside as several arrows pass him. Deciding that discretion is the better of valor right now, he again triggers the release of inner power that speed his legs, and races toward the orc that Truk'tosh is engaged with, his rapier flicking out to catch the foe in the back as he passes.

He also warns Truk'tosh of the attack that suffered, though Garidan decides at the last moment to restrict himself to a general warning in regards to whatever it is that he saw further out to the north. "Truk'tosh, someone or something that I couldn't see struck me a nasty blow just after I downed the witch. And I saw what looked like something moving from both the northeast and northwest, though I couldn't make out what it was."

Activating Speed Surge as a swift action, then taking a full-round action to move and attack--with Spring Attack--the orc facing Truk'tosh with Power Attack and passive Precise Strike. Then taking the additional move action granted by Speed Surge to keep moving.

Garidan streaks across the camp, shouting to Truk'tosh and thrusting his rapier deep into the orc. Withdrawing the blade from the warrior's belly, a burst of blood splatters upon the swashbuckler's arm as he moves to position himself to the south. He feels his heart pounding as he looks to the east and the west.

Truk'tosh spins quickly looking to the northeast and west. Yet, the great druid sees nothing of concern at first. Then, his head begins to swivel quickly from side to side. Looking into the forest in all directions. Suddenly, the orc rogue appears behind the large half-orc, slashing at his back. However, Truk'tosh's armor deflects the blow. With a snarl, the orc fades from view. She is gone again.

@Garidan & Truk:
You see several shadowy figures rushing through the forest to the east and west. You are quickly getting surrounded. Several more arrows fly towards each of you but narrowly miss. One nearly strikes the druid's head, but he ducks at the last moment.

"Archers!" Truk'tosh warns his companions. "Take cover!"

His warning given, the druid returns his attention to the traitorous nightblood that has regained his feet. Without giving his opponent a chance to regroup, Truk’tosh springs into a motion, striking with both ends of Morgrym’s axe in a flurry of blows. As he attacks he focuses more and more on the nightblood’s weaker side.

The orc laughs as he evades Truk's first swing of his mighty axe, but as the great weapons arcs high and comes down upon him a second time it strikes deep. The orc begins to wildly dodge the next series of blows from the half-orc. Yet, he he moves to avoid the rolling sphere of fire conjured by Nethuns. He moves into the path of the druid's axe. Xuk raises a bare arm to ward the blow but the blade cuts through his flesh easily. It strikes the orc's face just below the left ear, severing his jaw and embedding itself deep into his upper torso. The orc falls limp at Truk's feet.

An essence forms above the orc's corpse. Niyut feels the staff pull harder towards the glowing essence of the ether.
