Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

I'm the first on board! I beat ye all to it.

Well, can't take credit for that though. One of those suckers on that seller of souls knocked me out with a cub on the head.

Melee:
Handwraps (+1) Atk +12/7 Dmg 1d8+5; 1d4 bleed l Flurry 10/10/5 (Boar style +2d6 rend if both hit) l CMB +11 (+12 to Disarm,+15 to trip) CMD 23 (26 vs Disarm,27 vs trip)
HP 56 l AC 20 (FF 17, T 12) l F 8/R 7/W 5 l Ini +5 l Perc +12

Estelle will be beefing herself up a bit more soon and will be available for all to look at soon ;)

Get ye land lubbers ready for a good old fashioned piracy expedition.

Sorry Estelle can wait if needs be

Kitsune Game Master

It needs to be. No players post before the official starting post of the adventure. Now you can introduce yourself to master scourge. Or keep your mouth shut and do as told. Your choice.

Btw. some important difference between this AP and usual APs is that everyone who bullies you around on this ship is high enough level to kick your ass out of existence and back again.

Melee:

Estelle grew up in riddle port, fighting all day and all night, her father was a drunk and her mother worked the bars to help pay for everything. She grew up with the knowledge that if she wasn't strong enough she wouldn't get what she needed or wanted.

Will finalize Jarrus today. Need to work on background and still deciding if I should keep him as a Picaroon Swashbuckler.

"Which scurvy bilge rat am I gonna hav' ya run through for drugging me ale and hauling me aboard this 'ere ship?!"

Kitsune Game Master

@Estelle
If you use the Text export from a program anyway, would you do me the favor and place the stats as text into the profile? It's one click less and it works from every place where I check posts.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Changed Jarrus to the Buccaneer. It's more the flavour I wanna go for.

Working on background stuff this evening,

Kitsune Game Master

All of that doesn't come into effect at the moment in game if you just follow up on deck. So if you don't plan to become the next one to be lashed in front of the crew then please post that you follow and we can get this started.

Background will be needed once you're scrubbing the deck for talking to your new companions.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Oh crap I just saw now. I didn't know we started this already. Crap. My bad. Will head over to the gameplay thread now.

Kitsune Game Master

I seem to have a little different approach than most people I met on the boards so far. I choose a name and an avatar and a role and start posting. Mechanics are an afterthought that can be fixed on the run.

But I'm GM in almost all of my games. But that also is valid for you. You're free to let things open and decide later, or even change things, as long as you haven't used them.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Yup makes sense and I'm cool with that. I'm a very chilled player and usually go with whatever the GM says. I guess I'm a trusting player that way.

Also out of the GM's I'm currently playing with on the boards here, I like that you have avatars and profile pics of the NPC's. I don't think any of the GM's in any of the other games I play does that. It's very cool. Also thanks for starting this AP. I'm pretty amped.

Kitsune Game Master

I'm really hoping this won't break my account once when I reach a hundred of them ;)

And I'm anxious about how that will work out with all of us having an additional game to attend to.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Currently I'm playing five games. The others post so irregularly though, like I think one is like once in two weeks and the others like once every three days. So Skull & Shackles and Carrion Crown are at least daily which is still manageable for me.
I wasn't sure if you were gonna open a spot for recruitment or not.

Kitsune Game Master

If you know someone who is around regularly and is fun to play with you can invite that person to introduce him-/herself with a pirate here in discussion. But I won't do an open recruitment. As we have only room for one or two players at most

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

I haven't been on the boards long enough to get to know many people. I'm still a noob :)

Kitsune Game Master

There might be another pirate that pops up here in the next hour. I know a handful additional people here.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Cool cool cool.

Heyo der, I am from Foxy's Shattered Star

Trytton is a young man
Not overly strong, but tall and broad shouldered, he has large calves and thick thighs.
One could say he looks like a male cheerleader or gymnast.
His hands look like shovels in size, and his feet are large as well.
He looks sirly but is normally a lot friendlier than he looks
His skin is dry and cracked, his beard is unkempt. He smells fishy if you get close to him, but only subtly.

Melee:
Handwraps (+1) Atk +12/7 Dmg 1d8+5; 1d4 bleed l Flurry 10/10/5 (Boar style +2d6 rend if both hit) l CMB +11 (+12 to Disarm,+15 to trip) CMD 23 (26 vs Disarm,27 vs trip)
HP 56 l AC 20 (FF 17, T 12) l F 8/R 7/W 5 l Ini +5 l Perc +12

I don't know to many people who post a regularly as you Foxy, I try to because I have access to a computer daily, I own two and at work I use a computer for my charting so I am good there.

Channel 2/9 G.AngelAspect,Shield of Faith(+4 AC) Cleric/Rogue 15HP87/112,Init+4,F13R11W17,Per+25,AC24T10FF24

Long time board member. Tried getting into a few Shackles games in the past but S&S is a game that tends to die rather quick due to the intensive dice rolling at the start.

Kitsune Game Master

I would have guessed they died pretty quick because they are no fun, as you have almost no possibility to do something else than the duties. And the little you can would lead to you getting the lash or worse more often than not.

But let's hope for the best. I'm still searching where this rolling duty s~~# hides in the book.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

I know I am struggling to get used to pirate jargon which makes it difficult for me

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

I'm sure if need be we can move past all the duties when it gets too tedious right and onto the rest of the story? I haven't read it and don't want to spoil it for myself so I'm just assuming.

oh and welcome to the new crew :)

Rigger Tasks
1 Rigging Repair: The ship’s rigging frequently gets
damaged and must be repaired, requiring DC 10
Climb checks to reach the rigging 30 feet up, followed
by a DC 10 Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

2 Line Work: Hard work hoisting and lowering sails,
requiring a DC 10 Profession (sailor) or Dexterity
check. The PC must also make a DC 10 Constitution
check to avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

3 Upper Rigging Work: Work in the upper rigging, 50
feet up, requiring DC 10 Climb checks, followed by a
DC 10 Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

4 Rope Work: Handling the ship’s ropes, including
coiling them, stowing them, and securing them to
cleats and single and double bollards, requiring a DC
10 Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

5 Lookout: A climb to the crow’s nest 60 feet up,
requiring DC 10 Climb checks followed by a DC 10
Perception check.

Swab Tasks
1 Man the Bilges: Vile and sweaty work cleaning out the
bilges (area A11), requiring a DC 12 Strength check.
The PC must also make a DC 10 Constitution check to
avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

2 Rat Catcher: Catching rats and other vermin belowdecks,
requiring either a DC 10 Stealth check, Survival check,
or Dexterity check to catch and kill enough rats,
cockroaches, and beetles for a good day’s work.

3 Swab the Decks: Backbreaking work mopping the
decks and scrubbing them with sandstone blocks
called holystones, requiring a DC 10 Strength or
Constitution check. Failing either check results in the
PC being fatigued at the end of the shift.

4 Hauling Rope and Knot Work: Tying and untying
knots in the ship’s ropes and moving heavy coils of
rope from one part of the ship to another, requiring
a DC 10 Profession (sailor) or Strength check. The PC
must also make a DC 10 Constitution check to avoid
being fatigued at the end of the shift.

5 Runner: Passing messages to the crew and officers
of the Wormwood in all parts of the ship except
officers’ cabins (areas A4 and A5), requiring a DC 10
Acrobatics check and DC 10 Constitution check.
Failing the Constitution check results in the PC being
fatigued at the end of the shift. A PC with the Run feat
automatically succeeds at this task.

6 Repairs: Things constantly tear or break aboard the
ship and need repairs, whether sewing sails or splicing
rope all day, requiring a DC 10 Profession (sailor) or
Dexterity check.

Cook’s Mate Tasks
1 or 2 Cooking: Assisting Ambrose Kroop in preparing
the day’s meal. If Kroop is sober, no check is
required. If Kroop is drunk, this requires a DC 10
Profession (cook) or Intelligence check.

3 Fishing: Catching tonight’s supper using the ship’s
nets. A DC 10 Profession (fisherman) or Survival
check provides enough fish. A failed check results
in a day in the bilges as punishment the following
day (see the swab task Man the Bilges on page 23).

4 Turtle Hunting: Hunting leatherback sea turtles
with harpoons, treble hooks, and nets. A DC 10
Profession (fisherman) or Survival check provides
enough food. A failed check results in a day in the
bilges as punishment the following day (see the
swab task Man the Bilges on page 23).

5 Bull Session: Drinking with Ambrose Kroop and
listening to his stories. The cook’s mate must
drink an additional rum ration, but is able to take
an additional ship action during the day.

6 Special Occasion: Captain Harrigan is celebrating
something today, and wants one of the ship’s
pigs butchered and cooked for dinner. The PC
must make a DC 10 Profession (cook) or Survival
check to slaughter the animal, then help Kroop
to clean, cut, and prepare the carcass. If Kroop is
sober, no additional check is required. If Kroop is
drunk, this requires a DC 15 Profession (cook) or
Intelligence check.

Kitsune Game Master

These are the lists whith which you can determine your tasks. Please check the rolls of Master Scourge. If you end up together you can talk to each other. I'll throw in additional pirates later. There are 20-30 on the ship with names. But I need a while to sort through that.

Has Fishguts been drinking? IE do I need to make the check?

If you are diligently working you can take a daytime action in your freetime after the rum is served and one night time activity if you don't go to sleep.

You can get in one daytime activity during work, but if you're caught you get the lash (and more depending on what you're caught with). And you don't get the working diligently bonus.

Just give me your thoughts on that. Because you can as well just stick to sleeping and working and play through the events that come your way anyhow.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

I'm cool with playing however is the most fun and interesting.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Jarrus will probably try influence an NPC when he can.

Kitsune Game Master

I'm trying to find out here how that can be fun. But influencing NPCs with some real interaction or just by rolling?

Kitsune Game Master

Free time is announced. When all daytime duties are done, blood hour is over, the food is eaten and everyone got his rum ration. And then you get freetime.

I made a work guide, so it is easy to reference too. Foxy you can copy it and make your own spoiler at the top if you want.

Human Male Gunslinger (Buccaneer) 4: AC 16 (Touch 14, Flat 12), HP 49/49, Init +6, Fort +6, Ref +8, Will +1, Perception +8, Grit 4/4

Whichever is fun and easier for you. What does everyone else think? Re: influencing npcs.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

Why not both? Have the roll, but have some RP giving modifiers to the roll

Kitsune Game Master

I'm running into a little big problem here. There are
- four others who were caught with you
- 18 other pirates that have been there longer
- 12 officers
- 1 captain

I have to line them all up and distribute them on the ship to see who you work with. And to list who you made friends with and who you pissed. So Excel it is. But that needs some time so I stop the game here until I have done that so that you all get the chance to interact with these people during work. If someone has not yet done the rolls for work, feel free to do so.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

I suggest google sheet
It lets us assist

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

Also we are pirates. So we cheat if ye can. And with diligent work you can. Check your roll. If it's good, put in some daytime activity in your work. If it sucks and can be made with the +4 work diligent.

No need to work diligent when no one looks ;)

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

Just because I am a pirate doesn't mean I can't take pride in my work :P

Melee:
Handwraps (+1) Atk +12/7 Dmg 1d8+5; 1d4 bleed l Flurry 10/10/5 (Boar style +2d6 rend if both hit) l CMB +11 (+12 to Disarm,+15 to trip) CMD 23 (26 vs Disarm,27 vs trip)
HP 56 l AC 20 (FF 17, T 12) l F 8/R 7/W 5 l Ini +5 l Perc +12

Google docs would let us help, so Foxmara if you want to just put day or night headings in OOC we can do a 1d3 roll to see what our daily tasks are then a 1d6 to see how we can help?

Kitsune Game Master

I just need to prepare a template with all the pirates aboard, what job they have and the dice rolling prepared for the boards and I can simply repost that for every new day. You can then look up yourself what your duty is and who ends up doing the same job.

Usually I'm roughly aware of the storyline of an AP and improvise through the encounters. But for this one I need a proper preparation which I didn't do yet. But once I'm home after work I'll have that flying within an hour.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP
