mittens makes his way forward dropping to a knee head bowed in forgiveness. His words come out slow as if he was trying to pick them carefully.

Jakun grunts and moves forward placing a hand on Mittens brad shoulder, "Masters of the Conclave. Though I may not be ready for my Test. I stand ready to heed your edict. By hoof or by horn will these Renegades bend the knee".

Jakun pauses, "If what this Half-Elf says is true, then something must be done to stem this tide to ensure that these Knights of Evil do not spread across the lands as the Dragon Highlords did during the War of the Lance. The collective force is the enemy, not just the Thorn Knights. Pray tell Half-Elven, what would you see done? If it is in the power of the Minotaurs three, and our brave companions, we shall do it!"

Lady Crysania turns to the group members that have spoken, While you both have valid points, you must remember that it is in little things that Paladine is best served. This discussion is in the realm of the diplomats and the heads of organizations. Speaking out, you may speak the truth, but politics is often unconcerned with the truth. We have not all sworn to defend Ansalon. The Red and the Black Robes are concerend with magic, one for balance and the other for their own purposes. Even the White Robes, who serve good, serve the Magic first.

Turning to the assembly the Revered Daughter says, My Lords, there is much to this discussion. There are valid points on both sides. However, I believe that wisdom and tact are in order. While it would be impossible for us as organizations to investigate and perhaps draw undue attention to the Dark Knights. What I recommend is that a small group, made up of representatives of the organizations here be formed, though covertly, to investigate these claims and do what can be done to gather information on them.

The Revered Daughter of Paladine continues. My Lords, if you would allow me, I would chose the team. In order that their individual identities be known to only a few, I would know the complete identity of the team that has been chosen, while the Head of their order would only know their member or members. Do you agree with this?

The Master of the Conclave responds. This is something that the Conclave will need to discuss. While your idea may have some merit, Revered Daughter, we will not bow before the demands of the Church. Dalamar the Dark speaks, Perhaps it is best to retire for the evening and reconvene after the Conclave has had the opportunity to talk over these grave matters.

Sir Thomas speaks, How do we know that you Black Robes won't betray what we know to these Dark Knights. After all you all work for the same Queen.

Tanis Half-Elven retorts, Sir Thomas, the mages of Nuitari server the Son first and through him the Magic.

Justarius offers the guest rooms in the Tower of Wayreth for those who want to stay. The Knights decide that it is best if they leave as they do not trust wizardly magic. Lady Crysania says it would be imprudent for her to remain especially if this meeting is to remain secret. She turns to you and asks Will you stay?

"I would stay if only to meet Wizards to whom I may become apprenticed. Assuming that is possible..."

It may be she replies.

Aminah Mikku looks to the reverend mother and says. "My place is to serve the will of Paladine as always Lady Crysania. I fear that the Solmanics have become complacent in these times of peace and fail to consider the threats that are apparent. We of the Khur bear the shame of fighting alongside the Dragonarmies during the War of the Lance and thus we could not afford to be complacent for we were on the side that lost. If the darkness rises again we may be ill prepared. Something must be done and soon least we be caught by surprise and conquered by evil."

nods his head on agreement

"Ah, for Quentus there isn't pretty much nothing to do so might as well go back. I do like my own room better than staying here" Quentus chimes in as he shrugs his shoulders and is not so amused with the whole situation

Red Horn snorted a bit at the idea of staying in a tower filled with magic users. He looked over at Jakun and Tallen and raised a brow. "Come find me when we are ready to move, I do not think I could stand the stench of the arcane so heavily about me." he said as he turned towards the group leaving. "I'll be at the inn"

"As you wish Red Horn".

"Come Mittens, let us seek the library".

Jakun is seeking access to new spells to transcribe in his spell book. Let me know of there are any rolls I should make.

Since neither of you have passed the Test of High Sorcery and are not apprenticed to anyone that they really know about they are not going to allow you into their libraries.

So who is returning with the Revered Daughter?

Jakun considers his lack of warm reception, and decides to change course.

Approaching any wizard he can find he states, "Kendros of Solanthus was considering me as an apprentice, can you tell me whether he would make a good choice for a Mentor? Only recently has he taken his Test so I cannot know if this is a sensible decision".

Jakun is here he might as well try to get access to some new spells who knows when he may be here again! If that does not work, he will approach Caramon and Tanis and try to interact with them.

Marantis ponders this all for a moment, and turns to Crysania. "Matters of the arcane are not my concern, nor my interest. I will return with you, Red Horn and Quentus"

We will return on the morrow then. Tandar, can you please return us to the Temple of Paladine in Palanthus?

The white robe nods and again begins to chant in the spidery language of magic, Ast kintnonini lointun tszarteh he repeats a few times.

Aminah also returns with the reverend daughter wishing to get back to the Temple of Paladine with the rest of the group.

The White Robe that Jakun approached will respond, As far as I know the results of his Test of High Sorcery have yet to be determined. From what I understand he is very skilled in the Magic though and any apprentice that he might find will be lucky. From what I understand there are many ranking wizards, including the heads of the Red and the Black that would want to apprentice him as well.

The meeting of the Conclave continues late into the night. The minotaur receives a visitor in the middle of the night. All of a sudden there is a figure that materializes in the room dressed in the Black Robes.

Jakun stands as the figure materializes, "Who are you? I have been seeking a Mentor and none here seem too interested to have me..."

The figure replies, We have met before Jakun Stormhoof, outside of my Tower in Palanthus. I came to give this to you he brings out a bag from his robes. A "friend" of yours wanted you to have this if anything happened to him. In the bag are clothes and a signet ring. There are also some very nice boots. The clothes and boots are very nice.

Does the signet ring look like one I saw very recently... No spellbook eh?

Jakun pauses and bows. As he searches the bag he asks, "Am I to surmise that Kendros of Solanthus is no more Master of the Tower? I would wish to Apprentice myself to some Wizard of skill. I know that you have served the Master of the Past and the Present and I doubt you in your duties have time for mere Apprentices, but know you someone that would be willing to at least guide me if not Mentor me? I know that I can be great in the Art. I feel it in my blood. I see it when I see the Moons cross the sky. I smell it when my magic fells a foe. I hear it when the words of magic flow effortlessly from my lips".

The mage has passed his Test. He wanted you to burn these as he has burned his old life away. He is resting now. His family would know nothing or care about this as he was disowned before he approached the Towers for his testing. Solamnics can be so biggoted.

I might consider having you as an apprentice if you pass your Test. I have been known to apprentice and teach promising Red and Black Robes at the Tower of High Sorcery at Palanthus.

Jakun regards Dalamar the Dark, "I shall honor his request and burn these things once I leave the Tower of Wayreth. It is hard to know what the future holds but I would certainly be honored to be the Apprentice of one who has achieved a Mastery of the Art that you have. Tell me, what do you make of this situation with the Dark Knights? The so called Heroes of the Lance seem to hold little sway with the Council or the Knights despite their storied reputations. Though I suspect the blind Human Cleric can see more clearly than many of those fools, present company excluded of course."

As a wizard, your first love and dedication will be to the Magic, as is mine. These renegades must be hunted down and destroyed.

"Perhaps if I bring a few of their heads back as trophies, someone shall desire to Mentor me then. It shall be as you instruct Master of the Tower. Is there anything else you wish of me?"

We do not need the heads, minotaur. Destroy as many as you can through any means necessary/ You heard the Master of the Conclave, even White Robes are given leave to kill these abominations to the Orders of High Sorcery

"It shall be done or I shall die in the trying".

The next morning the group that remained at the Tower is joined by the group that returned to Palanthus in a large room in the Tower of High Sorcery. she begins:
Good morning my dear friends. I trust that your rest was recreational and rejuvenating? Last night I spent the night in vigil and in prayer waiting for the dawn and Paladine to hear my prayers and offer guidiance. In supplication and with tears I asked for his noble guidance, and this morning, at the dawn, he answered. In the vision granted to me, the Platinum Father appeared not in his guise of the Valiant Warrior or the Platinum Dragon. Rather, he appeared in the guise of Fizban the Fabulous. In the vision the Platinum Dragon showed me each of you who have been chosen by the gods of light and neautrality to find out what you can about these Dark Knights.

Please understand that there is much risk involved. None can know of your mission. You must investigate in a most prudent fashion these knights. For some it may cost your life and for others your very souls. If you chose this, please know that I will be the only person to effectively know who you are. However, my involvement can never be known. Do you have any questions for me?

Aminah bows to the Reverend Daughter and says, "I am most honored to take up this task. Even if Paladine himself had not spoken to you I would not of stood by to allow this rising evil to go unchecked. You shall have my blade and faith to this task Reverend Daughter. I shall not see the world bow a knee forces of evil once again. I will root out these Dark Knights and see them cleansed by the holy light of the Draco Paladin.

Thank you so much, Daughter of Paladine she replies.

"How are we to communicate back to you anything we find?

Aminah Mikku says, "Where should we begin our search Reverend Daughter? Should we check out this Storm Keep for the truth? Should we travel to the evil lands of Neraka to find their potential recruits? How should we begin our search for these dastards of darkness?"

There is a knock on the door and a cleric of Paladine enters. He walks up to her and whispers something in her ear.

Paladine, no! This is not possible. Queen Alhana Starbreeze and Porthios Kanan have been declared dark elves by the elven nations.

Aminah looks confused and says, "Dark elves? I am afraid my knowledge of the elves is rather limited. Did these elves do something evil in order to bear such a disgraceful title?"

Jakun snorts, "The elves have always cut off their noses to spite their faces Blind Human Female Cleric. You may count on me, and I believe my brethren here to escort these Knights to the fiery pit from whence their Dark Mistress resides. But as your colleague has asked, how to begin?"

"Well, Quentes likes this kind of job and even hobbies. No questions asked, just job done. Of course Quentus will get something out of this in the end, secured that no questions asked from Quentus. You need your guy dead, Quentus will happily do it for you" as the dagger magically appeared on his hand and vanished the next second

"Where should we then begin? It does take a bit time to get on Storm Keep. Even here town we might find some spies if we try to find hard enough and ooh, Quentus will surely find them."

Upon the cleric of Paladin entering the room and the Revered Daughter reacting with shocked expression towards the news "Alhana Starbreeze and Porthios Kanan? Quentus does not know these people. Some important ones? Interesting" nodding as Quentus stored this information deep inside for later use

Red Horn smiled at the thought of blood shed and honorable battle ensued. "Bah, no god has any interest in me. Only my anger and my might serve me to live. But this does sound like a rather challenging affair and it is prudent that a Minotaur such as I take it up or else it will likely not get done due to the weak hearts and ambition of Humans. I will see to it that it is done and I shall come back to you with a bill in hand." he said grinning for once.

With a sad tone in her voice They are the leaders of the Silvanesti and Qualanesti people and they have now been thrown out of their kingdom's and cast out from their people.

Unfortunatly, Storm's Keep, from what we have been able to discern, there is no way to get to Storm's Keep other than by dragonback. Lord Ariakan's mother, the sea goddess. Zeboim, keeps all ships away unless she wants them to approach. Besides, clerics of Paladine and Paladins would stand out like a black robed wizard in the Temple of Paladine. No, your quest is to see if there is any indication that they have a prescence here on Ansalon.

Investigate any leads you might get about these Dark Knights. I am sure that the faithful of Paladine would not be welcomed for as I understand, their dark clerics and dark wizards can read thoughts. They would who you are before you were able to get close to them. Traitors are not welcome in their ranks. You might be following whispers and rumors but it is imperative that we get as much information as we can.

The same cleric comes in again and whispers in her ear [/b] The son of Tanis Half-Elven has been named Speaker of the Suns? I need time to process all of this. Please think over what I have asked. Perhaps to begin in Solace where Sara Dunstan, a defector of the Knights of Takhisis is staying would be helpful [/b]

Aminah Mikku says. "Revered Daughter, are you saying that the power of Zeboim, also known as Baizia the Fierce among my people exceeds the power of the Gods of Light? If we cannot strike at the heart of the Dark Knights then we will not be able to stop them once and for all. You must ask Paladine to intervene in this matter or all may be lost. In the meantime I am certainly willing to gather what information I can about the Dark Knights. The most likely place to start is to go to the Busuk lands and investigate Neraka. If anyone would be sympathetic to the cause of the Dark Knights it is the foul Nerakans."

Marantis rocks a bit, stunned by the news. "That...that can't be right, they would not be dark elves, it makes no sense..." Marantis shoots a glare at Jakun's statement. "Careful the generalities you throw. They are not always accurate. I could just as easily say that all Minotaur always charge ahead without thought, and would that be accurate?"
