I'm scared to death of dentists though. I was traumatized by them when I was a child and have since developed a Dentist phobia.

diagnosis is Gout. I have to cut back on red meat.
also I think a lot of my data can be saved from my computer but I still will need a new one.

Yes....I'm VERY afraid of them since I was practically tortured by them when I was younger. It was the 70's and dentists weren't very gentle with children.

Dentists don't traumatize me, but it's never any fun.
I lost part of a filling and had quite an unpleasant adventure getting that fixed.
Okay....I'm gonna risk my whole tough girl image by saying that I can't SIT in a dentist chair without crying so believe me when I say I WAS traumatized. I need ativan just to get myself to go and then I still cry and have to have the gas. It doesn't matter what they're doing to me. Ill need to get more ativan from my dr before I see this dentist.

Almost killed a dentist once. I'm resistant to anesthesia and told them so before starting. They didn't make the dose high enough and it wore off in the middle of a root canal right as he was drilling into the nerve.
Everything went white with pain and it took a bit to realize I had the dentist by the throat. He said he understood but was definitely a little shaken up and they totally believed me and dosed me the hell up after that.
Will never get on a motorcycle on account of a snowmobile accident being the reason more than half my left forearm is steel and titanium.
Done with vehicles you ride on instead of in.

I've never gotten violent with one, I just cry and make their assistants feel like shit. I made one feel so bad that the next time I went in he had to give me to a different assistant.

It wasn't deliberate, just a reflex response to being in pain. My wife says that my fight or flight instinct got switched to flight and someone broke off the lever.
My automatic response to pain is to eliminate the source.
I totally get that. It's mostly just dentists that I have that reaction around.

What does logic have to do with it? Logic and fear have nothing to do with each other and it makes perfect sense to me why I'm afraid of them and unless you were a five year old girl that was strapped down to a chair while they ground down your teeth and did unspeakably painful things to you, you couldn't possibly understand.

To a kid it's essentially torture at a time where your mind is especially susceptible to terror. It stands to reason that things that have emotionally scarred you in your formative years would inspire crippling irrational terror that in some ways instantly triggers the part of your brain that identifies with your inner child.
My dad almost drowned me when I was 5. I still have mild panic when I feel a loss of control in water past my neck. It usually manifests as slightly hysterical laughter.
See.....that seems completely reasonable to me. I fell asleep once at the beach while I was in the water on my inner tube. I got carried so far out that there were seals swimming around me. It took me a long time, but I finally made it back to shore. I guess that's why I still have dreams sometimes about being stranded in the ocean.

Addysin is finally off the vent and awake, but apparently when she coded she also had a stroke and right now she's unable to use her right side. She's gonna have to go to an acute care facility once she leaves the hospital so she won't be back to our class.....it's unclear right now if her twin sister will be coming back to our class or not.

We're just glad that she's off the vent. Hopefully with the right therapy she'll be able to get most of her muscle use back. She's so very young, anything could happen really.

with Paizo new server update I may have lost access from work which will greatly reduce my posting ability.
I still have access at home, but not on my nook nor my phone anymore.
I have to check my work computer again when I get the chance but so far it didn't work.
Hmm, that might be why Wayfinder isn't working.
Yeah they upgraded the servers for transaction security but some browsers are no longer supporter. I can still get on from my phone's browser but it might very well be the Wayfinder issue.
My phone comes with Chrome, at least.
Yeah that'll work, a bit more hassle but it'll work.
So....with my phone sucking and not having any other internet capability beyond the browser and wayfinder...I'm just sorta SOL on the whole posting bit.
I am restricted to my computer at home until they fix this issue and that's it....so my posting ability is going to really slow down, which I apologize for, but there's really nothing I can do about it. Which sort of drives me crazy a little bit.
We went to an outdoor picnic event this afternoon and now we're both sick from being out in the sun too much. I'm just hoping my stomach settles down enough for me to get some sleep. The reason I'm on so late right now is because as soon as we got home we were so worn out that we both laid down for a while before we were able to get the strength up to do anything at all.
I'm gonna be going back to bed here shortly, since I still have to be up early for work in the morning so I still won't get much done and I won't be able to post again until after I get home from work tomorrow.
Okay....I really gotta go to bed now. I gotta deal with screaming wet kids tomorrow since we're having a water day. It's fine for the older kids, but the younger ones don't like the big sprinklers...it like scares them and stuff.

OKay, Derika is like half asleep still, so since it's almost midnight here and we still have to make the pull out bed up for mom and dad and I need some sleep I'm gonna have to go for now. We'll try to be on again tomorrow at some point. Mom wants to go out to lunch and then have us go shopping with her to try and pick out an anniversary present for some friends of theirs.

If that's how you feel, boss, I don't mind. It's supposed to be fun for all of us, and if your RL is going to prevent you from really enjoying it, then it's okay to stop.
I'm disappointed. I think you're a great GM.
That said, if you're not happy, and you have bigger things to worry about, take care of what's important. This isn't.
The last few weeks have been really crappy and stressful with everything going on. Top of the list being the shooting that happened last Saturday morning in front of our apartment that resulted in two dead people. One I kinda walked up on as I was trying to figure out what happened.
Things with our jobs have been stressful lately too and with my family freaking out about where we live now our stress levels are like going through the roof.
Sorry...apparently I can't even put the right alias.
