Fish Bol kills the last sea scorpion with a curse and a massive blow.

COMBAT OVER: CR 2 (100xp each)

Once everyone's head has cleared and Quacraybool gains consciousness the group can gather their bearings.

Looking out to sea the group can see half of the Jenivere smashed up on a spire of rock that pierces her like a spear, and keeps it from sinking into the bay. The stern looks to have broken off and is nowhere to be seen.

The pile of gear is a motley collection of items and some might belong to another group of castaways that are closer to the jungle line. They include some of the other passengers, Aeyrs, Gelik, Ishirou, Jask, and Sasha.

The elven of you are soon all on unsteady feet and wondering how you got here.

DC 15 Heal check:

Suffering from the aftereffects of being poisoned. The sickness will pass after drinking a lot of water and a few minutes.

The Mwangi gives a low whistle, at sight of the blows delivered by Noro and Fish,

Ignan:
"Remind me not to offend either of you."
But as he calms, he seems to find his common words again, "Very impressive," He says in a voice deeper than his lithe frame would indicate. He moves to their only remaining sleeping associate, and stirs him awake, "Get up. You've missed a battle, but we still have grave concerns."

Looks like I didn't post quite fast enough, but assume he went around waking others too :)

Heal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

As everyone gathers up, he explains, "We were poisoned... it should pass with plenty of water to drink, and a few minutes rest."

After killing the scorpion, Fish drags himself to the pile of gear and collapses near it, dropping the length of wood he used as a club. "Ugh."

He clutches his stomach, rubbing it with slow motions as he takes a few moments to rest.

When he's feeling slightly better, he crawls over to rummage through the gear for his flask of water. Upon finding it, he raises it to his lips and drinks.

Less dehydrated, he sits down and looks around for the first time. He spots the Jenivere.

"Wha' happened?" he says, licking his lips.

He listens to Krokod and takes another swig of water. "Poisoned? Probably the soup. Last thing I remember was tha ship heavin' along with my stomach."

There's something fishy going on here. *cough*

Quacraybool is starting to stir when he hears Krokud’s voice. ”Battle? What?” he says pushing himself onto his hands and knees weakly. Sitting back, he looks with dismay upon the half-broken ship, the dead sea scorpions, his injured shipmates, and the general chaos of the scene. He listens to them speak to each other. ”Poison? I-I’ve never been poisoned before. What is to gain from poisoning us?”

After drinking water, he frowns and pats his head, discovering that his hat is missing. His eyes dart around in a panic searching the shore for his creation. ”Oh no, oh no,” he croaks, ”My hat!” Covering his head with his arms, he takes a few deep breaths, looking at the others. ”Okay, let’s not panic. First I can bandage any wounds. Noro, do you want me to do that? Then I can do a proper search for my hat...and a weapon,” he adds looking at the sea scorpions again.

"Oh b&$%!!~s. What now?"

After being updated on the course of events, Arduino stands and examines the worms and the nearby jungle with a suddenly serious expression. "This... is not good. The forest I was born in was dangerous enough; I have only passing familiarity with the jungle that seems to stretch out endlessly before me and us..."

Sighing, he starts searching amidst the wreckage. "What do we have?"

"Someone pulled us from the water and dragged us to safety. All of us." She adds pointing to were the group awoke closer to the waterline but some marks are still visible.

Perhaps some of us should head out there now for charts and the rest set up camp? I really don't want to worry about anything useful being washed out to sea with the next high-tide. OOC:
<quote>Is the boat straight out in the water from their current position or up or down the coast?</quote>

I don't wish to micro manage this as pbp takes a long time if you post every step or stand about discussing ever move you wish to make.

In certain circumstances I will ask you where you go (Like who goes to the shipwreck?), in others I will ask you how do you approach the shipwreck (hopefully after I have described it). To speed things along I'll just fluff the trips so as to save time, now and again.

Hope this is alright with everyone. When I posted those going to the ship I was hoping for IC posts from each of you preparing to cross the water. This is two fold - one I like to read the posts ups and hope for some insight to the character and two once everyone has posted I know everyone is ready for me to advance the thread.

After a few months I'm sure we will all know more of each other and how we wish to handle things.

SPECIAL NOTE: My word is not the ultimate law. (Well it is 99% of the time.) After a few months playing and you dislike anyway I handle certain areas. Please let me know. This is a game and we are all here to have fun. And to do that I need feedback from all of you.

The swim to the Jenivere isn't pleasant, but neither is it overly dangerous. As the group swims over they find that at certain points they can wade across a small reef, and if the tide were at it's lowest they could possibly walk to and from the ship in ankle deep water.

Not wishing to turn back and wait, since they are almost at the ship. They continue on and approach the shipwreck wet and a bit tired. It is then when they first touch the wood that their adrenaline kicks up and their fatigue is forgotten.
