Also is anyone really tied to the setting? I was more after the theme of finding your siblings than I was in love with setting. I do have a setting that I hope is interesting, though it's not really fleshed out beyond the basics.

First, I'm waiting until Monday before I set up anything. This is to give Castle Blades a chance to show up and let us know what he'd like to do, whether it's continue, quit or something else.

Second, assuming that Castle Blades doesn't show, I'll spin up a new game. All of you can choose to either continue with this setting or to go with one I've been thinking on for a while. Either way, I'll be restarting for a couple of reasons.

1) Castle never asked me about this beginning, and to be honest, I don't think he thought it through. Audria could just teleport away once she was left unattended for a few seconds, and she could keep teleporting until she got some help. Another thing is that a slaver would have hidden her hair because a young woman with platinum hair stands out far too much for a trade where you're best bet is discretion when operating somewhere where your kind are likely bound for the gallows if caught.

2) I want to work your backgrounds into things. I think it's more interesting that way and as long as everyone posts at least once a day, we can keep the pace up even if the party's split. I also think that it'll be more fun if you guys meet up in a way besides the standard, you all wind up in the same tavern, somehow.

As for the setting. If you guys aren't in love with the current one, I have one that I think you'll enjoy. See the spoiler for some more information.

Sundered Lands setting:

A thousand years have passed since the lands were sundered. No one now lives that remembers the time before everyone lived on the floating islands and traveled in ships that plied the winds like the vessels of yore plied the waves. Most live their lives as best they can, growing crops and raising livestock or fishing the seas that now cover the surface to survive. There are a few, though, that go out into the world to explore the old ruins and find the resources the towns and cities need to survive.

Magic is rare in this world, having been lost with many of the libraries and schools that were destroyed when the lands were sundered. Few now study the arcane, and those that do jealously guard their secrets. That isn't to say that magic is unheard of. even the smallest of villages can boast one or two that have been blessed with power by the gods that now walk among the mortal races. Though reduced in power, the gods are still mighty and few anger them and live to tell of it.

Magic items are rarer than gold or a treasure hoard of gems. The few that exist each has a unique personality and goal. Some crave power, others wish to help orphans and abandoned urchins, and there are a few that will not rest until every last hirsute male named Jimmy is shaved hairless. The only magic items that are regularly seen are the sky stone crystals which are made by the Shipwright's guild that jealously guards their secrets.

This makes the Grail of the Phoenix one of those extremely rare and fabled items that have gained at least some notoriety among the common populace, and has made it one of those items that those in the know want for themselves. It also has a personality of its own, though almost no one save its guardians ever gets to know it.

This also means that you won't have access to any magic gear unless you find it or seek out someone trying to sell such items. And those that you find will have their own quirks. Even paired weapons will be different from one another, if only slightly.

So, thoughts? Would you like to know more? Should I stick with the current setting?

No, I love this new setting as it sets the stage a bit better and even gives the grail more value. Would we be able to start with our gear that we've already acquirred though?

I was thinking about that and wanted to know if you wanted to stick with what stats you have or go with a 25 or 30 point buy. I also need to look over everyone's gear to see what we have as far as magic goes. I think potions will be fine, but wands might be harder to come by, so if you have them you'll need to explain how you got them.

I'll look and see about the other stuff.

Also, speaking of wands, would you guys be okay with all wands not running out, or having a number of charges per day?

I know that I hardly have room to talk here, but I agree with Marla here. Two weeks with no communication is a little excessive. At least give us a heads up when you're going to be gone and might not be able to post or if you're continuing to have issues with posting.
