Caitlyn Weissman |

Cautiously Caitlyn rappels down after Loren. It was a long way down and she knew there would be a welcoming comity below. She prepared herself mentally to drop the last few feet if needed, with her weapon loose in its sheath.
OK she'll take 10 going down for a check of 22

Samnell |

is there anywhere to tie a rope to?
You could tie a rope to the end of the stairs and climb down that way, but the rubble is reasonably stable and abundant in handholds from where it tapers off to the bottom. The main thing is the undead who want to murder you as you quietly descend.

Loren uth Brasel |

Loren continues climbing down.
I keep forgetting about Take 10. Provided the descent looks appropriate, he will Take 10 for a total of 12. If he does fall and can't catch himself, he's got a magic item that works once per day. Before they make it all the way to the bottom and the undead, he'll probably prep some spells and abilities. Let me know when we're at that point.

Consider yourself at that point. :)

Loren clasps his medallion of faith and prays to Kiri-Jolith for strength and, once the others are near enough that combat seems imminent, His divine favor.
Bull's Strength and Divine Favor

Caitlyn Weissman |

Just to say I'm still here. Caitlyn will take point down below, if anyone is able to do so - pre-rage buffs would be appreciated.

Samnell |

Can we roll initiative? :)
Sorry. RL has been...very bad.
Skel ACs: 19, T12, F17

The Companions descend and find the skeletal warriors waiting for them, blades drawn. They waste no time closing back in for the kill.

Mariel Uth Kaldar |

The Revered Daughter of Paladine will invoke her god and holding on to her medallion of faith prays:
God of Light! Father of the Sun! Bring forth your purifying light that these who remain in undeath might return to their reward in death
Channelling 4d7 + 7 ⇒ (7, 1, 5, 5) + 7 = 25 no channel resistance DC 20

Caitlyn Weissman |

Sigh now is the first chance I've had since wiring that to post again.
This was a reckoning that had been a long time coming, and Caitlyn's pent up angst exploded into rage. Her knuckled creaked but then like a dancer she gracefully steeped forwards before performing a pirouette. A pirouette with a Lucerne hammer, which smashed into the target to the south west of her!
Free action: Rage
Move action: Two squares closer
Hammer time, Rage, Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22Damage: 1d12 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 +1 from axe to grind if nobody else threatens her target. +2 if they can cast spells (witch hunter)

Mittens begins to glow with a holy lightmittens is using his holy light ability: a nimbus of light to emanate from the warrior of the holy light in a 30-foot radius. All allies in this area (including the warrior of the holy light) receive a +1 morale bonus to AC and on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws against fear as long as they remain in the area of light. This power lasts for 1 minute.

Caitlyn Weissman |

Neat +1 more damage for Caitlyn, no save required it's pre rage. I think that brings the total damage done by her to 21 (23 if they cast spells).

Jakun Stormhoof |

Pre-Buff
Much as he would like to search for the circlets, Jakun sees the wisdom behind his companions decision to push forward.
Jakun descends down the shaft, his Fly spell still having significant time left until it expires. He waits until his companions are reasonably close to the bottom before casting Haste.
Round 1
Jakun lays down two rays of fire at one of the Skeletal Warriors not currently engaged by one of the groups warriors.
Ranged Touch Ray 1 - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 - 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 5) = 13
Ranged Touch Ray 2 - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 - Miss

Round 1
Spell-sped and flying, Jakun spoke an incantation and flames leaped from his hands and lanced forward. The first struck a skeleton square in the breast, but melted to nothing there. The second flew past the skeleton's shoulder.
Her stroke thew up sparks where it connected with ancient chain and bones beneath it cracked. As the sparks faded, Thistletorp slipped clear of the light and vanished in the shadows.
Mittens begins to glow with a holy light as he silently invoked Kiri-Jolith, heartening his companions. An instant later Mariel kindled her own glow: "God of Light! Father of the Sun! Bring forth your purifying light that these who remain in undeath might return to their reward in death." Brilliant light shone and seared the undead, leaving none unscathed and a few nearly destroyed when it faded.
The skeletons closed up on Caitlyn and Loren. Only one fought past her guard to land a cut with its axe. Loren had better luck, catching both blows for him on the hardest parts of his armor.
Skels have SR.
Beat it?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 nope

Everyone is rocking Haste.
Everyone also has +1 morale bonus to AC and on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws against fear if within 30 of Mittens
Order is Jakun, Caitlyn, Thistle, Mittens, Mariel, Skels, Loren. Everyone is up!

Loren uth Brasel |

Hmm. Should have popped my Holy Strike ability before combat... oh well. Next time.
Sword in one hand, shield in another, Loren batters aside the skeletal warrior's attacks before striking back with a pair of his own. "Come at me, fallen ones. The Bison willing, I'll release you of this torment."
He is swinging at the one to the left, that could slip around him and attack the revered daughter.
Making attacks with Power Attack, Haste (untyped), Bull's Strength (enhancement), Divine Favor (luck), and Holy Light (morale)

AC is now 24 with +1 dodge from haste and +1 morale from Mittens.

Caitlyn Weissman |

One of the wicked axes had cut her, but so fierce was Caitlyn's battle focus that she didn't even notice. Lithely stepping back to give Wyrmslayer room to do it's job, Caitlyn brought it round in an whistling arc. It smashed through the remains of first Skeleton as if it wasn't even there before pile driving through the next one. It would have smashed into the third but some spark of cunning was left and it ducked just in time.
5' step north
Full attack!
Haste: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 1 + 1 = 28 Damage: 1d12 + 16 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 16 + 1 + 1 = 21

Iterative: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (4) + 13 + 1 + 1 - 5 = 14 Damage: 1d12 + 16 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 16 + 1 + 1 = 21
Going from left to right I suppose.

Mariel Uth Kaldar |

Grabbing her medallion again she invokes her god, confident in her invocation
Valiant Warrior! Come to our aid, send these creatures of Chemosh back to the whence they came!
4d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 6) + 7 = 21
She cant channel again with a haste can she?

Caitlyn Weissman |

There's a feat Quick Channel that lets you channel 2x per round although you'll burn through your channels very quickly.

Jakun Stormhoof |

Round 2
His fire spell seemingly not as effective as he would have wished leaves Jakun with the option of increasing his allies abilities once again.
Still hovering he casts a spell - Mass Enlarge Person cast on everyone - This spell causes instant growth of a humanoid creature, doubling its height and multiplying its weight by 8. This increase changes the creature’s size category to the next larger one. The target gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size. A humanoid creature whose size increases to Large has a space of 10 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet. This spell does not change the target’s speed. The spell also enlarges the creatures' weapons.
Haste Action - Jakun uses his Telekenetic Fist to strike the Skeleton he initially targeted with his scorching ray.
Ranged Attack - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage - 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
