Well, at least we know that we've all played it, so nobody needs to take a back seat; just play our PCs in character, and avoid using OOC knowledge.

I am heading to scout camp with my son this weekend and will available to post again on Monday, US East coast time. Feel free to bot Farzinel if necessary. He will defer to the party's interpretation of the cartouche.

This is unfortunate timing with the revival of the forums, but I am heading into the woods for the weekend to go float down a river. I won't be back until Sun PM, so expect regular posting from me to resume again on Monday.

Next weekend, starting Thursday I’ll be at Dragon Con. Likely not much posting will get done while there.

I appreciate the effort to save Nitre, but all of us low-level PCs knew the risks when we started; we specifically agreed to play up.

I was rash with Nitre, and did something stupid. That's on me; the consequences are mine and they are earned.

If there's no simple way to undo it (and, unless I'm reading the Gameplay thread wrong, there's not), then let's not bog the game down for the rest of you.

Okay, so our level 4+ characters will receive 1864gp each, and lower levels will receive 1190 each.

Raise dead will cost 5450gp or 16 Prestige.

The good news (if any) is that you only need a 380 GP restoration rather than two 1280 GP restorations. (Or 2 PP, rather than 4PP x2)

Looks like I can contribute 1200 to raise dead. It is my understanding that we can't contribute prestige, but if I am wrong, I'll contribute too.

If 6 of us chip in then the cost is 972 gold each. If 5 chip in then its 1166 each. I am in for a share either way.

Question; If I level to 5th does that prevent me from playing part 3?

No. Part 3 is 3-7 iirc, so wouldn't impact that whatsoever. Even if it were 1-5, wouldn't change anything except potentially APL.

Yes, Nitre is definitely okay spending the prestige. I will also insist on spending all of her gold for this, to reduce others' contributions.

She currently shows 226.94 gp on her sheet here; I'll confirm tonight (when I can pull up HeroLab and make a full accounting with her Inventory Tracking Sheet) whether that figure is correct with regards to the in-scenario purchases she made. Assuming that is correct (and rounding it to 225 to keep the final numbers even), with the 1190 she'll receive on her chronicle, that means she can contribute (1190+225=) 1415 gp towards her recovery.

That should leave (5450-1415=) 4035 gp to divide between 5 other players. 4035/5 = 807 gp each

Meh. I do not need an IC discussion. Stormy is a good character. She is compassionate and not greedy. She would give the money and this is a RP game so I am good with it.

Note that I have had characters that would not be ok with it. I try to find a way to justify their contributing but it can be hard. I usually play good characters.

Even split is acceptable. Let's not bankrupt the level 1 characters anyway.
