Apologies, the Initiative Order I have on the board is just a 'short' version of the Combat Table and I missed adding you when I created it. You are right after the trolls, it is actually Norian's turn, who acts just before Svaerd.

Though Phaligast cannot hope to keep up with the longshanks, he is invisible and does not fear behind left behind. He'll catch up to the others eventually.
OOC: I am willing to continue, however, using this board is still very awkward for me. I still do not know how to format and various other things that may slow me down a bit. I'm still excited about having a mid-level spellcaster to play with, though, since I have played very few in my 35+ years of gaming. But I would just offer the caveat that while I definitely want to remain in the party, I do not want to slow the group down. If things become too annoying, I reserve the right to honorably bow out. Hopefully it won't come to that!

All you need to do is create an 'Alias' and name it Norian (you might need to include last name, or last initial, or separated by an underline or something). Also, an avatar pic would be a big help as I sometimes fail to see a short post without the avatar pic to pick out the post on a crowded page.
If you need help, let me know and I can walk you through the process.
So at the moment I've got Svaerd, Phaligast, Norian and our new player David (who is creating a druid). Thinking I can safely recruit two or even three more players for this one. I'll shoot for two right now and give d20 folks that haven't checked in another chance over next couple weeks. If nobody answers the call (I'm really hoping to hear from Sol!), then I'll recruit three, if I get the interest.

Welcome to both of you as well! Feel free to post in the gameplay thread, if you'd like. How you came to Hommlet (and you too, Loren) is totally up to you all. Figure you received word from Rufus and Burne's agents in one way or another. From something as simple as a posting in a tavern to said agent being a friend or mentor (or relative) or whatever you'd like! I'd only ask you not claim personal relationship with either Rufus or Burne, though.
Was waiting for a few more player posts to flesh out the intro, but I'll dive us into the action this weekend anyway.
Hope you all are forgiving of my 'wall of text' posts. They are there mainly to serve as a reference not only for the new players, but also to help jog the memories of my old players (and myself!), and also to serve as a future way to keep track of what's occurred simply by referencing the first page of this adventure thread - which I'm sure will be quite long before all is said and done. :)
Sorry about the delay in posting all. I forgot to mark this as one of my games, so I wasn't seeing any updates for it. I have resolved that issue now.
Was hoping for a bit more input from players, but I will have you all proceed along the downsloping passage. Will try to get a post up tonight.
I will be headed on vacation after July 3rd and won't be back until July 10, so I won't be on the board again until that time.

As to everyone else, it looks like there are five players remaining (plus Loren's celestial ape), which is more than enough to keep going, if you are all as interested in doing so as I am. I will endeavor to post more often when my players post actions (whether individually or as a group), so let's see if we can pick up the pace a bit in this epic adventure! :)

Actually 1d22 gives you any number from 1 to 22 so you can roll a 1....
It crashed when I tried to submit.
Then when I re-wrote the post I used notepad and did one {dice=}1d22 +{/dice} line. Copy and paste four times, then filled in the text after the equal and the modifier for each line without noticing the obvious mistake.... Like I said, copy and paste a stupid mistake four times just means that you get four stupid mistakes!

Good to see you, Vorlan! As for myself, things have gone from bumpy to... much more so. I'll not be giving up on posting entirely, I've been GMing pbp for 20+ years and won't give up this easily. Apologies in advance if my posting schedule slacks off from time to time, I'm going through a bit of a rough patch in RL that could either increase the time I'm posting or have the opposite effect due to general apathy and feeling sorry for myself. Unfortunately, I have some bad news.
A combination of work-related stuff has lead to me having to take some time off from the forums. I am, in all honesty, going to need to be gone for several months, as I am going to be travelling for extended periods of time (weeks or more) and I'll likely not have good access to the internet.
As I am not someone who would want to have you all sit and wait for me here, I am going to be withdrawing/closing all of my open forum games.
I want to thank everyone who I have had the pleasure to game with over the last couple of years here, as I have immensely enjoyed my time on the forums, and hopefully, once my work stabilizes, I will be able to rejoin the community.
Thank you again for your time and energy, and I am sorry that I won't be able to keep things moving forward in any of the games that I am running.

Sol, thanks for clarifying your spells for the day! I think I've got it correct now on the Tapatalk board character sheet (which I still use, for now). Let me know if you see any problems, including on those cast today (struck through with a line).
I'm sorry for the delay everyone, there's some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel though and I hope to get back to some semblance of regular posting in the next few weeks.
I'm not one that normally unloads my woes on people, but I'll go ahead and do it anyway. Basically my life is in chaos right now. My wife and I have separated after 25 years of marriage, I've been looking to get out of the hotel I'm in and into an apartment (just got one yesterday, so that's one obstacle down) and work is ugly with tax season in the early stages of making life miserable for me during the day. Because of the housing situation, I've taken up a second job driving for Uber, which is great because it's on my own schedule, but alas it's usually busiest during the hours when I like to post.
That said, I think I've about nailed down a schedule that will allow me time on the boards in the late afternoon, early evening hours now that I'm not feverishly looking for my own place. I'll probably start doing my driving after the rush hour crowd dies down a bit and go until late, which actually seems to be a fairly busy time period in my area.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know where my head has been of late, and to reassure you that I'm still around and fully intend to get back into my usual posting schedule of a couple times a week when possible, especially when my players post quickly. It may take me a bit of time to get there, probably until April 15th, as a matter of fact! But over the next couple months I hope to start posting at least once a week or every 10 days at the very worst. That'd be a good start, considering my pace over the past few months...
OK folks, I'm settled into my new place and I'm feeling pretty good again - all things considered. I'm planning to start my new schedule of posting during the late afternoon in the coming week. I do hope you are all still around and watching this adventure thread. I'm very eager to start this adventure up again, along with the other three I'm running on the Paizo board.

I should have anticipated this week being busy for me as I finished furnishing my apartment as bits and pieces arrived from Amazon - I'm tired of assembling furniture! But fortunately I'm finishing that process up today. Unfortunately, this week has gotten away from me. Let's shoot for a fresh start next week. I'm going to do my very best to hold myself to this promise, folks!

Sorry folks, I'm still slow going. Been hard to focus with all the personal stuff mixed with tax season and end of first quarter at work. Going to try and post this week to get us moving again and hope to get myself going on that schedule I promised. I've not forgotten this adventure though.
It does appear that I'm taking a bit longer than I'd thought to get used to my new situation. I guess my posting is going to be more sporadic than I'd thought for awhile longer, but I'm game with continuing this adventure if you are all OK with the slower pace. I'm going to work hard at posting more often, especially when I see my players posting quickly. I hate to leave you good folks hanging... :)

I'm going to write out Svaerd, as the player has pretty much disappeared from all of my other adventures as well as this one. I've had good luck recruiting for my other two adventures on this board, so very soon I'll do that and bring in one or two others at the same time. Just need to find a good place to do it.

Nice!! Lots of recent posts will get us moving again! I'll work on getting something up by the end of the weekend hopefully, though if I don't get to it today sometime it won't be until Sunday night.
I'm also going to bring in a new player whose adventure came to an abrupt end due to other folks dropping out of the game, making it too difficult to continue with it. I might have to get kinda creative on how to bring the player in, but will probably find a way to do so very soon.
I've been a bit busy of late, but will find time to post while I'm on my vacation here in the coming week!
