Taemin will keep watch over Taras while he searches, then move to join the others outside.

Verronax heads out the western door to make a sweep through the livestock pen, trying to meet up with the others from the other side, if possible.

Taras will carefully search teh room, then check the contents of the hay cart.

You find only stale hay.

I've updated the map here. I don't think anyone has encountered any surprises in their movement.

"Well I believe we're covered pretty much everything. I suggest we remove the criminals from this place and collect our reward. Perhaps we should mask them so the common folk on the street don't recognize them? There should be some sacks around here we can put on their heads."

Taras tries in vein to dust off his robes and grabs a small greasy towel off the wall and tries to get some of the mud off his boots with a disgusted look on his face.

"Very well. The sacks are a good idea, Taras. Justice must be done, but I'm sure the Korvosan Guard would prefer it not be mob justice." Verronax checks the bonds on the prisoners. "Do we have any rope to tie them all together in a line?"

"I will look for some rope, then I agree, we should go."

Assuming rope is found, I think we'll proceed to tie them one at a time, put the sacks over their heads, and lead them back to the guard station.

Sort of rambling as the group gathers up stuff.

"I'm more worried what the mob will do to us should they find out we are taking their free meal to the gaol. Unfortunately, the front window was smashed in. This place will likely be looted of all this meat by morning. Maybe the queen will have some use for this building to help the people some other way.

"If we can't find sacks for their heads we can use bedsheets. Gags might be a good idea as well though perhaps just having Karista whisper sweet nothings into their ear will keep them quiet.

"Oh dear, I think I'm going to have to replace these boots entirely!"

You manage to find a few short lengths of rope among the animal pens. Probably used to tie or lead animals. It's smelly and worn, but it'll get the job done. Where do you take the prisoners?

I didn't remember - I had to chase it down, but luckily I picked the exact right page! :)

When you return to the Citadel, the Field Marshal is happy to provide your reward: 100 freshly minted platium crowns. She thanks you for your service. She thanks you for returning (most of) her men alive.

This is your opportunity to take a day or two to take care of any business you have in the city, sell/buy gear, that sort of thing.

So to sum things up we have

three small burlap bags. The first two contain reasonable sums of gold and silver, respectively. The third, smaller, bag contains a double handful of various gemstones. Ross can we get a total on this stuff? Appraise checks on gems below

A silver dagger (Taemin is carrying it)

Can we divide this up pretty quick and get moving? Taras wants to chase down some scrolls and maybe a wand.

The burlap bags yield 150 gold pieces and twice that many silver pieces. The third contains a haphazard assortment of small gems and jewelry worth a total of 200 gp.

The bow is masterwork, and the quiver contains 19 +1 arrows. The dagger radiates a weak evocation aura, but you cannot discern any actual magic properties.

For the record, the bloody arrow is the 20th arrow from the quiver and is no longer magical.

Okay, then we've each got 20 plat, 30 gold, 60 silver, 40 gp in gems each (276 gp value total).
We also have Potion of CMW, MW Longbow, 19 +1 arrows, one bloody MW arrow, silver dagger w/weak evocation aura

I'd be cool with the bow, and would be happy to split the arrows 2 or 3 ways. If Taras picks up a regular bow (Elf after all) the +1 would be a nice damage and to-hit boost. Who wants the dagger/potion (and some arrows)?

At this point, I'm going to write The Last Rogue off for lost. Haedrik will take his share of the cash and go home. Since we still have a viable party left over, I don't see the need to recruit another player.

Actions, folks?

FWIW... arcane bond rocks with regards to not needing as many utility scrolls. I was going to grab knock but realized it's probably better just on his spell list and if he needs it he can tap arcane bond. It's also great for Feather Fall!

If he can't find someone to rent/ borrow a book from he will buy scrolls if needed.

FWIW... arcane bond rocks with regards to not needing as many utility scrolls. I was going to grab knock but realized it's probably better just on his spell list and if he needs it he can tap arcane bond. It's also great for Feather Fall!

Unseen servant and Feather Fall are available from the reference spellbooks in the Elvish Embassy in southshore. It takes you a couple days to make full sense of them (i.e. make you spellcraft check to copy), but you safely add them to your spellbook.

A scroll of knock is likewise easy to procure from the Acadamae at market price, of course.

Burning disarm, on the other hand, proves a bit more difficult to procure. Despite Korvosa's ties with Cheliax, the spell is far from common in arcane circles in the city. Eventually, you manage to find the spell at an estate sale: the previous owner perished in the riots, and his spellbook is being auctioned off page by page. You need to let me know what your 'maximum bid' is.
