I wouldn't mind the dagger, as that's one of the few weapons a sorcerer can use.

Garbund with a dagger sounds good to me

Please bot me. Unable to post tonight.

Next two weeks I'll be extra busy with work as I'll be training for a new position. I'll try to keep the pace and will prioritize this game over the ones I'm a player (since this one can't go foward without me) but there is a chance things will be slower than normal. Things should go back to normal after two weeks.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
Not a problem.
Hope the new position involves a bigger pay packet!

We will be here awaiting, I get the Feeling the Rune Lords aren't going anywhere fast.
Male Human HP 28/32 | AC 20, T 12, FF 17 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +2 | Perception +1 Destructive Smite (3/4) Channel (2/3, 2d6)
Good luck with your training

Finally levelled. Only 2 weeks late.

So, training will probably continue for one or two more weeks. And my mother just had a surgery, she is fine and recovering well, but it'll be some time before she can do anything without help. That means I won't be very active for some more time, though I expect things to be normal again by the end of the month.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
That's understandable. Hope your Mum's doing well...

Did we have stuff to sell and money to buy things? I forget

I do not, and I don't remember looting anything vigorously either. We should probably remember to do that at Thistletop.

Hi, All!
Just a heads up in case my posts are a bit tardy the next 4-5 weeks. It's FIFA world cup time.
Therefore, I'll be watching lots of (real) football on telly until it's over.
Foxglove Manor
Map to Sandpoint Hinterlands added to the top of the page, map to thistletop updated below my username. Characters currently aren't on the game map itself but on a nearby vantage point looking at it.
This dungeon is fairly complex and with english not being my native languagem I'm not sure how well I'm describing things, so feel free to ask questions.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
Looks like an easy trip to Thistletop. Just a pleasant walk along a coast!
What could possibly go wrong?
Apart from getting brutally murdered?
:D
Male Human HP 28/32 | AC 20, T 12, FF 17 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +2 | Perception +1 Destructive Smite (3/4) Channel (2/3, 2d6)
If at all possible I want to avoid both water and climbing. Those are the two easiest ways to write a character off for either the day or permanently.
Granted, if we had someone who could set a rope up I could do it, but an actual climb is not a great idea.
At this point its basically up to Denlar. I voted for the front door approach and Garbund for climbing around the side, so the final vote is his/yours.
HP 29 l AC 16 (T10; FF 16) l F +5/R +1/W +2 l Ini 0 l Per +5 (6 vs Gaints) Melee +6(Armor Spikes 1d6+3) l CMD 16 l CMB +6
haha If Denlar took his armor off he would have a pretty good climb especially with Bulls Strength. I don't think the GM wants to play all the NPCs plus his baddies vs us in a frontal assault. We could try the climb then go from there.

Sorry for the recent lack of activity on my part. I'm about to go on vacations and that means being swamped with work right now. I should have a lot more free time in a few days.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
No problem; enjoy your holiday time!
Male Human HP 28/32 | AC 20, T 12, FF 17 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +2 | Perception +1 Destructive Smite (3/4) Channel (2/3, 2d6)
Just a heads up, but I am away at a wedding this weekend and preparing for a trip to Germany next week. I'll be away from July 13 to 28, so please bot me as required.
Ansgar will hold the front line and protect those around him as a first priority, with his survival being second.
I should still be able to get a post or two in next week.
Foxglove Manor
Thanks for the heads up, enjoy your travels!

Apologies for my absence, all. But I tried to do something a little too clever on my computer and somehow managed to mess up the 'grub2' system, which prevented it from booting up.
Just a bit of a delay in things. I keep my data backed up good and proper.
I'm back in business now, after reinstalling my operating system and getting things back to normal.
Well, normal for me, anyway... :D
Foxglove Manor
I'll get a post up tomorrow, sorry for the delay, work has been quite busy recently.

Flight home was delayed due to problems in Munich. Getting home about 48 hours later than expected, just sitting an airport with wifi right now and figured I'd give everyone a heads up. Will get into the game later this week after I sort out the fall out.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
That's a serious amount of delay time!
Hope you get back well enough, then.

@Ansgar: Welcome back.
So, Pathfinder Playtest is out, how do you guys feel about it so far?

Read a bit, looks cool I ahve listened to the Glass Cannon Podcast who did a playtest with Erik Mona and Jason Bulman
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
Haven't had a chance to look through it as yet.
Been reading a few of the posts about what's upcoming.
What I have seen looks interesting so far, though.
Foxglove Manor
I'll have a post up tomorrow, sorry for the absence, my routine changed quite a bit and I'm still figuring out how to slot my posts into it.

Thanks for the heads up, I was starting to wonder given your absence in the game I am running as well.
Just an FYI - I will probably not post until Monday or Tuesday. I am running the first game of a campaign tomorrow after taking a break for the summer, am doing a 42 km back packing trip saturday/sunday, and have to pick two players for a Kingmaker game I am taking over on the boards Monday. I will try to post Monday but I am making my priority getting the characters recruited. After that it should be business as usual.

Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
I'm pretty flexible for posting times.
When I'm not turning my brain to mush trying to read Latin and ancient Greek, that is...
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
Apologies for my absence, everyone. Got totally wrapped up in my studies (including three midterm tests), and a couple of fiddly computer problems.
I should be good to go now...

I will be travelling for work Monday through Wednesday, I should be able to post Thursday. Bot me as required.

Just to keep you updated, you're at 4833 xp. No exactly close to next level but we might get there faster than expected with how much action we've been having.

I will be irregularly available until January. I will post if I have time but don't wait on me.
Happy holidays everyone!

Sorry for my absence; been busy wrapped up in all manner of real life stuff lately
Foxglove Manor
Happy holidays, everyone!
While a couple of good rolls can still change things, It does seem like we might have a TPK on our hands. If it happens, how would you want to proceed? Would you like to roll new characters in this AP, start a new campaign or just stop playing altogether?
HP 29 l AC 16 (T10; FF 16) l F +5/R +1/W +2 l Ini 0 l Per +5 (6 vs Gaints) Melee +6(Armor Spikes 1d6+3) l CMD 16 l CMB +6
Rolling up new PCs is fine with me, I wanted to play this out anyway. I thought this character would be interesting, I think taking the proper CMD feats will help in the long run it won't work as there are giants and they are hard to Combat Maneauver
Male Human HP 28/32 | AC 20, T 12, FF 17 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +2 | Perception +1 Destructive Smite (3/4) Channel (2/3, 2d6)
If this does end as a TPK, then creating new characters sent out to rescue Zantus and Shalelu from the goblins would be cool I think. Our characters would be dead but the seemingly important NPCs would live on.
Whatever happens I would like to continue on with Rise of the Rune Lords if possible. Maybe recruit two more people to bring us up to 5. I am sure there are dozens of people that had the campaign fizzle out around level 3-4 that would love to jump in.
Male Half-Orc Sorcerer (inactive)
I agree with Ansgar; if it does become a TPK, then resuming where we left off; albeit with new characters would be a good option.
Foxglove Manor
Well, you can still turn things around with A LOT of luck. But it seems like we'll be most likely starting the year with new characters.
I hope everyone is having fun despite that. If you feel like I did something unfair that somehow contributed to this situation please don't hesitate in saying it.
I'll start recruitment to find two new players, has anyone done recruitment for ongoing games before? Do you know if its better to use our old recruitment thread or start a new one?

It is just luck of the draw really, we didn't charge in but that Cougar is just killing me.
I mean I did nothing to her at all, she has a nice fur coat for an older woman. The brick in her purse hurts more than you would think.
HP 29 l AC 16 (T10; FF 16) l F +5/R +1/W +2 l Ini 0 l Per +5 (6 vs Gaints) Melee +6(Armor Spikes 1d6+3) l CMD 16 l CMB +6
Denlar is perma dead yep.
The only think I will say is that you rolling so many "die" in one post opens things up for you to roll better and bigger numbers.
Not a fault on you at all just how randomness tends to work.
Male Human HP 28/32 | AC 20, T 12, FF 17 | Fort +3, Ref +4, Will +4 | Init +2 | Perception +1 Destructive Smite (3/4) Channel (2/3, 2d6)
You will get less confusion if you start a new recruitment thread with the current character build requirements on the front page.
HP 29 l AC 16 (T10; FF 16) l F +5/R +1/W +2 l Ini 0 l Per +5 (6 vs Gaints) Melee +6(Armor Spikes 1d6+3) l CMD 16 l CMB +6
The Cougar with 3 attacks is crazy good, I wish we had of killed them before but it happens.
HP 29 l AC 16 (T10; FF 16) l F +5/R +1/W +2 l Ini 0 l Per +5 (6 vs Gaints) Melee +6(Armor Spikes 1d6+3) l CMD 16 l CMB +6
So what do I replace Denlar with?
