Gauthier hurries back, with Winter in tow, to the door where the zombies have risen and, taking in the horrific sight: "What madness is this!?!" slams the door shut and tries to jam it in place with his dagger.

I am assuming Hassan cannot see the newly raised dead or the one who raised them yet, he will act unaware until someone tells him, or they come out of the room.

Seeing the samsaran lady already healing the wounded warrior, Hassan opens and checks the room immediately to his north, trying to ensure it is clear of bad guys.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Is that a full round Action? If not, I'll move to the other door, if so, I'll stay in place. Due to judgement, picks up one more HP 5/9.

Fatigued:

A fatigued character can neither run nor charge and takes a –2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity. Doing anything that would normally cause fatigue causes the fatigued character to become exhausted.


With Winter sniffing angrily at the door, Gauthier uses his enchanted club to hammer in the dagger deeply to jam the door shut.

Sven regains his feet. His head is cloudy and his muscles drag light weights tying him down. Tenpenny's screaming is enough to orient him toward the immediate threat, however. He lifts his earthbreaker back up into the air and moves to intercept whatever might be following her through that door.

Move to the doorway. Ready a standard attack against whatever opponent might come into range.

Sven did run through her threatened space. She didn't seem to be a threat. If he was mistaken, then she gets attacks of opportunity and I believe I will need to roll a bull rush attempt to get through

"I'll hold the dead back, but feel free to come to my rescues when you're all done with the other evils!" yells Gauthier as he smashes his massive club at the first zombie who peek through the splinters.

Best to stay here and fight them one on one! he thinks, using the doorframe as cover.

"Winter, bring it down!" he growls, letting the wolf try to bring it down before striking. Winter growls and snaps at the attacking zombie.

Then Gauthier follows up with a strike.

Kirrak is trying to determine if the halforc is telling the truth or she is lying to him

Round 7

Unaware of either the zombies, Rokhar or the blue witch at this point, Hassan is still clearing the bedrooms on the northside making no threats remain behind them.

He opens the door to the middle room scanning for threats or aid. H is in the middle of this scan when the door bursts in followed by screams in the entry way.

Whirling he sees the zombies coming from the once-cleared room, and turns to aid the wolf and druid.

Round 8

He moves behind the table hoping to get to the other side of the room, but stopping to call on The Dawnflower's energy once again to blast the undead corpses that are coming through the doorway.

Move action as indicated by Magenta arrow. Standard action to cast Disrupt Undead at closest target. Hassan picks up 2 more HP over these two rounds due to his active judgement. Now at 7/9hp.

Hearing the lady call for healing, Hassan forgets the sounds under the table for now, and rushes to the aid of those defending the front door fo the cabin.

"I can heal the warrior but I cannot reach him just yet. Fall back to me, Sven and be healed."

To Gauthier:"There is something under the rug. Watch your back, my friend, I will return to aid you."

Double move to end up 1 square short of Sven. Can cast CLW next round if I can get close to him. Now at 8/9 hp due to healing judgement.

Sven growls at Merisiel's comment. How dare she?! He hears Hassan's call to pull back, but there is something he must prove before he does so... he threatens to charge forward toward the dual images, but the aching in his bones stalls his attack.

Grumbling to himself, he instead moves backwards into the house. He grumbles at Merisiel as he passes. "Keep your eyes open..." he says with a smirk, "and see if I don't start swinging like a man again!" There's a sinister growl to his voice, but you can't help but note the smirk as well.

Strategic retreat... he's getting pummeled, and there's still the devil out there.

Hassan grabs Sven and his holy symbol passing the healing power of the sun into the wounded man. After he tosses his dagger to Ten-Penny, allowing her to slash at the zombies.

What are your thoughts on jumping out a window instead of using the door? It's a way to avoid the bottleneck where Kirraak currently is.

My thoughts would be a jump check, probably some damage to you via the glass and a full round action. But I'd give you cool points in return. Actually, I'd allow it as part of a move action. It would take 3 squares of movement and Ref save DC 12 to avoid shards of glass or take 1d6 damage.

As a swift action, Hassan changes his judgement from healing to justice, adding +1 on his to-hit rolls.

As promised, Hassan rushes back to help against the zombies, but sees the half-orc engaged with teh only target. He sends his beam of disruption at the thing, hoping to end it's unlife, but this time the ray misses the target which is locked in combat.

Gauthier, when he feels the power leave his club, drops it and draws his spear. He kneels beside Winter, looking over her injuries: "Do not worry, for the Forest replenishes all, and life has its season. May yours be Spring.."

Shock washes over the barbarians face as Merisiel collapses from Kirraak's arrow. He flashes the ranger a look of question and fury, but rather than charging the Strix, he rushes into the bedroom beside him and leaps through the window amidst a shower of broken class and red hair.

Blood traces pathways down the barbarian's face and arms, where numerous cuts have lacerated his flesh. But they're not enough to keep his hammer from carrying his momentum into Rohkar.

The Blue skinned creature is an Ice Mephit. It has DR 5/magic and can breath icy air that saps your strength, it also has minor magical ability.


"Winter! On me!" shouts Gauthier as he makes his way to Merisiel, checking how bad she is.

I'm guessing DC 10 to check if in danger of dying, as First Aid is 15.

Sven is ready to collapse, himself. But even as satisfied as he is with taking down Rohkar, there is still a demon to deal with. Dropping his earthbreaker to the deck beside Rohkar's body, Sven then draws the newly acquired longbow.

He has not had time to cleanse this weapon, and it feels foreign in his hands. But he sees no other way to reach the flying creature.

Potential Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Sven knows nothing of the magical damage reduction
Oops. And I forgot to account for the -2 to attack and damage rolls from being sickened.

I'm doing away with XP, mostly because I don't want to figure out how many that combat was worth. I do know that you are now level 2! Level UP.

Bandit Loot:
There were 9 bandits total, each had a shortsword and shortbow and padded armor.

Rohkar Loot:
Rohkar carried a bottle of poison, a +1 Shortsword, a MWK Light crossbow, a Magical Cloak, MWK Thieves Tools, MWK Studded Leather armor, 15 Quarrels, a ring of keys, a wooden unholy symbol of Norgorber.

I'll label the rooms of the lodge and you guys can check out room by room, also remember Tenpenny is still alive and now she is armed. She is standing over the corpse of the Zombie eyeing you guys warily. Also, the sounds are still coming from under the table in the main room.
