I still need to write up background and fill a couple holes, but I'm applying with a Tulita (Sugalo) Wizard (Scrimshaw Fetishist) who is associated with The Broken (still deciding if he's a spiritual leader who works indirectly with them or a more direct participant). You can get a good idea of where I'm going with him from the attached profile. More AOE blast, less control.

I'll add a background spoiler once I finish the draft, but for now here's the general concept: Wexley, the arcane investigator.
The idea here is that Wexley uses daggers, twin pistols, intellectual skills, and a host of arcane tricks to hunt down magical knowledge and especially despicable criminals.
I'll need the equivalent of Common, plus 6 other languages. Tips are appreciated.

Sorry, guys. I have to drop out of the game. I welcome the two new recruits - they both look very cool, and I'm sure they will more than replace my tortured adoptive-Tulita.
My school year is about to start, just six months to go to get my degree, and I want to give it my best.
It has been a real pleasure gaming with you Obi, Sandman, Beth and Silas. Morgan couldn't have found a better bunch of adventurers. He didn't always agree with you, but we all made it worthwhile.
Thanks so much to brvheart for his attention to Razor Coast, and taking the time to create this version of the Razor Coast world and story.

Sorry to hear you're dropping out Hoeroa. It was fun reading through all of the posts and thinking through how Leialoha would interact with Hoeroa and his 'between the worlds' life (I'd already decided that Leialoha was going to insist on calling him Hoeroa if I was accepted). Tiki will also be horribly missed. Too often familiars, companions and constructs fade into the woodwork, but you did a brilliant job of breathing life into Tiki and I loved the interplay at times between him and Hoeroa. Good luck in school. Maybe a mission back to the Tikarua to follow up on one of the shark attacks or something similar would be called for so you can slip back in after graduation.
Let us know if you want to bring us both on, think on it a bit or wait to see if GeraintElberion applies.

Farewell then Randall. I suppose we'll try to keep Obi out of trouble for you.

Thanks for the support of both Hoeroa and myself. And yes, Tiki was too much fun. Look after him Sandman!
I did think that perhaps after I graduate if you guys aren't swallowed by Dajobas I might ask brvheart if I could return….

Wexley, hopefully not intruding too much on your spoiler to brvheart, but any thought to playing an inquisitor? With Hoeroa bowing out, an inquisitor might be a good secondary divine caster and they definitely fit the investigator role well (and are on brvheart's list of acceptable non-core classes). They get Detect Alignment so you'd have that ability (and Detect Lies too). The judgments would make you a more capable pistol wielder. You get quite a few spells that are inquisitor specific and fit the investigator theme nicely.
Vanitthu might be an interesting deity who would fit very nicely with your background. Tactics is a nice domain (especially that Initiative ability), but you could also consider the Black Powder Inquisition which would be a nice addition to your desire to make a gun wielding character.
Vanitthu, God of the Steadfast Guard
Portfolio: Defense, justice, law, righteous combat, sieges
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Domains: Healing, Law, Protection, War
Subdomains: Defense, Loyalty, Tactics
Symbol: A gray shield emblazoned with a stylized black fortress tower
Garb: A gray tabard with a black tower sigil
Favored Weapon: Spear
Form of Worship and Holidays: Prayers are often said to Vanitthu at the start of sieges or by guardsmen prior to heading out on the beat.
Typical Worshippers: Barristers, judges, guards, professional soldiers, military officers, and nobles
Some claim that Vanitthu is the son of the great god Anumon; others go so far as to say that Vanitthu is yet another aspect of the great god (this schism has caused considerable conflict within the faith). In either case, Vanitthu is the embodiment of martial perfection, law, the strength of the state, and the punishment of the guilty. A grim and resolute deity, Vanitthu is always shown bearing a spear made of lightning and a polished mithral shield. He often appears to his followers on the field of battle, especially to those engaged in or defending against sieges.
BTW, I think there is plenty of room for us both to play wizards if you want to stick with that. I think you'll probably wind up more control and utility oriented and I'll be the blaster. Just thought I'd throw that inquisitor thought past you since it seems like a nice fit for your concept.
For your languages, you'll almost certainly want the Tulita dialects. This group seems to have pretty broad access to them, but it makes sense for an investigator to have them. There are four - mainland, coastal, island, and Aizanes-Tulita. The latter is rarest, but depending on how you came to Port Shaw, it might be something you could have picked up along the way. Aquan is used as a trade language among seafarers so that would be a pretty obvious one for you too. Common is common. Those would be the most obvious ones for your background.

I had actually considered going Paladin 1/Cleric 4. My skill points would be crap, but I could pick up the Black Powder inquisition as well as perhaps a strong domain to replace my Binding Darkness school power. But at this point, I think I like the concept I have. The guns and knives were only ever meant to supplement my magic, so I'll let them slip into the background as my spells become more powerful. However, I'd planned to grab the Eldritch Knight prestige class, so my mundane combat ability should never be *that* bad. I won't be able to keep up with your spellcasting, but a few spells here, a few bullets there, a well placed dagger or two, and everyone goes home happy.

Hey all! Met brvheart at a local convention and was interested in joining, he said there's room for me! I was just wondering if there is any class the party would like to see? I have an old 3.5 character who was a polynesian style nude spear-wielding barbarian/fear based bard (he did the haka dance to inspire fear).
I can roll him up in PF, but I also love playing all classes, so if we need a thief, magic user, etc, I am cool with that also! (and good to meet everyone).
