"I do not care either way. The gold would be nice to upgrade our gear, but if we hurry we can still get to that large cobra the eldritch trickster was stalking." Hacker truly does not seem to care.

"It would be dishonorable to strike them down now. We should go and seek experience and loot elsewhere."

Male Skinwalker (bloodmaked) Telekineticist 3 | Character sheet | HP: 32/32, Nonlethal: 6, Force Ward: 9/9 (2/min) | AC (human/bestial/bat): 14/15/18 (12/13/17 Tch, 12/12/13 Fl) | CMB: 4/5/5, CMD: 15/16/16 | F: +7, R: +7, W: +3 | Init: +2/+3/+5 | Perc: +9, SM: +1 | Speed 30ft (bat: 10ft, fly: 60ft) | Telekinetic Blast +6/7/11 2d6+8 30ft/120ft | Burn 4/6, Elemental Overflow: 1/1 | Obscuring mist 1/0

Darkdealer mumbles something noncommittal before turning away. I was ready to finish what I started, he thinks to himself, but the consensus is clearly against me. It's not like we'd be killing them, and even if it was, that might be a more merciful fate. We'll need resources, like the reward for this quest, if we want to stop ARODEN and actually DO something about the state they're living in.

It’s Toyama and Logan vs. Darkdealer. Hacker and Rafe are impartial

Male Skinwalker (bloodmaked) Telekineticist 3 | Character sheet | HP: 32/32, Nonlethal: 6, Force Ward: 9/9 (2/min) | AC (human/bestial/bat): 14/15/18 (12/13/17 Tch, 12/12/13 Fl) | CMB: 4/5/5, CMD: 15/16/16 | F: +7, R: +7, W: +3 | Init: +2/+3/+5 | Perc: +9, SM: +1 | Speed 30ft (bat: 10ft, fly: 60ft) | Telekinetic Blast +6/7/11 2d6+8 30ft/120ft | Burn 4/6, Elemental Overflow: 1/1 | Obscuring mist 1/0

In any case, Darkdealer isn't going to make the argument that he's thinking of right in front of them. If he's going to bring it up, he'll do it after they agree to leave, once they're out of earshot. He prefers to have the element of surprise, anyway. He also may or may not be entertaining the notion of circling back once he's returned to his usual job of scouting in bat form and trying to finish the quest himself, without the others knowing. We don't know what the old guy can do, but the skellies don't seem like much of a challenge. The way he took out the first few so easily may have made him overconfident, and even if the stakes have risen, a part of him still sees this as a game that he's pretty good at. Also, the knowledge that there are invisible walls that the monsters can't cross makes him pretty confident that if he uses his extended range infusion, he can take them out from outside their effective range if sniping fails.

With the androids of the party impartial to the decision, Logan and Toyama clearly sound their opinion that they should avoid conflict with the Old Man and the Skeletons whilst DarkDealer is mumbles a nonanswer.

With that, the Old Man, having no more wisdom to give, simply waves at the graveyard gate.

Erin, for her part, after carefully listening to the exchange and remaining silent simply leaves without a word, heading back towards town with her gear. Perhaps the new information affected her and she needs to process it alone or perhaps she's received a message of some other emergency or need. Either way, she simply nods and leaves.

The rest of you are now free to continue as you wish. You still have the general location of the giant cobra, or you can resume travel to the mysterious maps location and continue ARODEN's goose chase.

What would you like to do?

Lev 3 UC Rogue | HP: 27/27 | AC: 15 / T: 13 / FF: 12 | Fort: +4, Ref: +7, Will: +3 | CMB: 2, CMD: 15 | Init: +9, Perception: +9

It seems to me that perhaps ARODEN using its.. unique... logic may not be turning players into the more bestial enemies presented in the simulation. It is worth investigating. Rafe intones While we may not have gained 'loot' from the graveyard we have learned a great deal about what is ocurring here. I would suggest we test my animal theory before following ARODEN's trail. We will attempt to communicate with the Cobra. If it does not display sentience, we will dispatch it. Does this seem like an acceptable course of action to the rest of the group?

"Game's gotten too real," Logan comments as Erin walks off. He had half a mind to follow. But no. They had information to stop it now. So he had to stop it. "Yeah. Sounds good," he agrees.

Male Skinwalker (bloodmaked) Telekineticist 3 | Character sheet | HP: 32/32, Nonlethal: 6, Force Ward: 9/9 (2/min) | AC (human/bestial/bat): 14/15/18 (12/13/17 Tch, 12/12/13 Fl) | CMB: 4/5/5, CMD: 15/16/16 | F: +7, R: +7, W: +3 | Init: +2/+3/+5 | Perc: +9, SM: +1 | Speed 30ft (bat: 10ft, fly: 60ft) | Telekinetic Blast +6/7/11 2d6+8 30ft/120ft | Burn 4/6, Elemental Overflow: 1/1 | Obscuring mist 1/0

We're not getting any closer to ARODEN standing here. Darkdealer broods.
