I will need everyone to confirm the following so I can set the tier for the adventure and so we all have a good idea of the party make-up:

Also make sure your character sheet is updated, along with your 'signature' line that should have current/maximum HP, saves, and other such information that is handy to have in a pinch.
Also, in order to have the information I'll need for your chronicle sheets, please give me the following information.
Player Name:

PFS:

Your Acrobatics and Climb aren't too shabby, Safa.
I'm even less skills-y, unfortunately.
Climb +5, Diplomacy +7, Perception +4, Perform (oratory) +7, Spellcraft +4, Swim +5, Use Magic Device +7
I can also use Spirit Surge on any of the Strength-based check for an extra 1d6.
(This is assuming that I take off my armor, which I would.)
Sir Hayden Greyrun

Ha, yeah try being a paladin. Acrobatics +0 (-8 to jump), Bluff +2, Climb +2, Diplomacy +6, Heal +4, Knowledge (nature) +5, Knowledge (nobility) +6, Knowledge (religion) +5, Perception +3, Sense Motive +4, Spellcraft +5
Hayden can aid on the climb check maybe.
Ecthelien the Grey
|
Will see what Ecthelien can offer.
Knowledge (arcana) +8, Knowledge (history) +7, Knowledge (local) +7, Perception +5, Spellcraft +8 (+10 to identify magic item properties), Use Magic Device +6;

Looks like aiding is going to be my route as well.
Diplomacy, Climb and Swim being my highest at 4.
I also have Guidance for +1 on checks and Enhanced Diplomacy for +2 on Diplomacy/Intimidate.

Sounds like if we go one lead and multiple aids and we succeed then we can do one an hour, although if we fail then we won't have time for any second chances unless we start splitting up and trying for different books simultaneously in smaller groups or individually.
Question may be whether we want to start as a group and then split off as needed, or start individually and then combine if/when needed.
My gut feel is to start with our weakest one first as a group all aiding and then progress from there, meaning if we do need to split off at some point then we have our strongest skills left and therefore more achievable by smaller groups later on?
Having said that Covadil's skills for the relevant checks (assuming he takes off his armor while helping and has applied his resonant power for the day are:
Acrobatics +1
Swim +5
INT +3
Perception +7
Climb +5
Escape Artist +1
Without having seen everyone's relevant skills/abilities, thinking we maybe start with INT then Escape Artist first with whoever has the best stat as the lead, then progress into Swim and Climb as the next batch, leaving Acrobatics and Perception until last, maybe splitting up for those two so that we have a chance for a redo if we fail one or both?
Sir Hayden Greyrun
|
Sounds like a good plan. I agree, trying one or two as a large group and then splitting up to try and get the others.
Unfortunately, Hayden has INT +0. Taking off our armor is also smart for the swim, climb, and acrobatics checks. Let's just hope we don't hit a fight, but they would be evil to interrupt a skill challenge with a combat. Without his armor, Hayden can reasonably aid on most of these checks.

This sounds like a good plan to me. I'll volunteer to lead on the Swim check, and I'll assist on the others.

I'm thinking it's this:
INT - Covadil/Ecthelien
Escape Artist - Hayden/Ecthelien/Safa
Swim - Garrick
Climb - Garrick
Acrobatics - Safa
Perception - Covadil

So what do we think? The DCs for the checks may not be so hard. Do we want to start splitting up on some now or go all in on one more (Escape Artist?)
One option might be for Safa (lead), Hayden & Ecthelien go Escape Artist and Garrick (lead), Covadil and Elris take on Swim?
Or we could just split off and take 1 each (except maybe a double up on EA), doubling down on the ones we fail after that.
Sir Hayden Greyrun
|
Let's do two groups like Covadil suggests. Hayden can lead the Escape Artist one. He will take off his armor for all these skill checks. Hopefully we don't need armor in the library.
Garrick Preston

How about this for an hour-by-hour breakdown:
Leads First (Assists in parenthesis)
Hour 1:
INT - Covadil/Ecthelien DONE
Hour 2:
Escape Artist - Hayden (Ecthelien/Covadil)
Swim - Garrick (Safa, Elris)
Hour 3:
Climb - Safa (Garrick, Elris)
Perception - Covadil (Hayden, Ecthelien)
Hour 4:
Acrobatics - Safa (Covadil, Garrick)
Others on re-tries
Hour 5:
Re-tries
Hour 6:
Re-tries
Garrick Preston
|
Do we want to re-try Escape Artist or Perception this hour? I can reattempt Swim in hour 5 or 6.
Sir Hayden Greyrun
|
Garrick and Covadil are engaged with the Acrobatics rolls, so I think it's best if Hayden re-tries the Escape Artist check. Ecthelien and Elris can try to aid.
Garrick Preston
|
How about Swim and Perception re-tries for Hour 5? Anyone have strong feelings?
Garrick Preston
|
Yeah, go with Elris. I'll be up front, I imagine, but I have a bit more HP.
Elris Kayne
|
Yeah with the level 1 HP pool he is still a little squishy if they land a hit but he will be up there swinging his shield around.
Covadil Delonnen
|
Covadil will happily take a spot up at the front of the group.

I'll post later today, but since I need to report this game today I'll ask everyone to roll your boons! I've got everyone's chronicle sheet information, but if you want to make sure I've got the correct info check it out in the Campaign Info tab, toward the bottom. Apparently reporting today gives the table a chance to win Paizo gift certificates, so I plan to report the game around 8pm EST tonight.
I will roll for boons for any players that haven't put them up by about 4pm EST. Remember, you win on a 19 OR 20, and then roll a d4 and be sure to PM me your e-mail. Thanks folks, and just to kick things off here is mine. Good luck to you all!
