I am fine helping to take on any other battles. I won't be around much the rest of today and early tomorrow. My last concert attendance of the year is this evening.
Maybe we could alternate between simacrula and the undead and dinosaurs?
But I'll probably have to be botted today.

![]() |

Thanks for the bot assist! I just did day 2 of my new job and I haven't had a whole lot of spare time! I'll try to get my regular posts in, though.

GM Hmm |

You can attack now if you want!
Hmm

GM Hmm |

Sorry that I did that much botting. With so many attacks of opportunity and mirror images to deal with, I decided it was best to speed that section up.
___
What do you guys think of wiping out simulcra waves for a while? If the dome STILL doesn't lift in two days, we can go up and take on dinosaurs and undead.

![]() |

I'm good with it. Daeris will find it theraputic to annihilate all the Arodeths of a different color since she had to do all that talking with the real one.
And yay! Rounds to prepare mean I can lay some traps! You don't often get to set up ambushes in PFS. *goes to compose*

GM Hmm |

Lay those traps! Have fun!
Hmm

GM Hmm |

Gang after this group, I'm moving us to Anchors. I did a count of anchors dropped in each of the Paizo threads. We'll need to shift there for a bit.
Hmm

GM Hmm |

Sorry for the up and down... We should have stayed where we were. I was worried about anchor successes, but a bunch of other tables came through this morning. Back to our normal programming!
Feel free to laugh at me.
Hmm

![]() |

Yeah, the vault sequence of endlessly spawning Arodeth clones at the end is annoying, but hey... we get to do this until the house reaches the right number of Vault Successes. We'll keep doing this until we finally can get control of the Vault and go home!
Thanks for being such good sports and over achievers!
Hmm

GM Hmm |

Okay, shall we randomize this to make the next round more exciting? Votes, please!

GM Hmm |

Dealing with some crap at home. I'll see you in the morning with randomization.
Hmm

GM OfAnything |

If things are too easy for you, you could always bump up a tier. How about a challenge?
Evil GM laughter

GM Hmm |

As Pathfinders defeat the furious simulacra, they disperse into foul mist that screams in anger before fading away entirely. Nearby, the true Lady Arodeth seems shaken by the destruction of her miasmic doppelgangers, and their deaths seem to sap her of her zealous rage.
Table GMs, this is Code Green. Code Green is in effect.
Hey Gang ----
I'm waiting to find out if we still have simulcra to fight, or if it's tea and cake for us.
Just give me a moment.
Hmm

GM Hmm |

If we get a choice between this battle and tea and cake, do you just want the tea and cake?
Hmm

GM Hmm |

We have our choice... Let the simulcra dissolve, and RP the last bit, or help send everyone home with one last battle. Apparently, we're close.
I'll go with the first three people to vote:
Battle or cake?
The cake is a lie! But we'll do something anyway.

GM Hmm |

If I treat Ely and the Kraken as two separate votes, that's three, right?
It sounds like we want to finish out this fight if we can. Okay then, let's do this!

We did it! We did it!
Throws confetti in the air!
And thank you, Uesugi! I loved cheering your little group on! The Red Arm of Absalom definitely did its part to bring us all home!
And to my team... OMG, so did you. You had 20+ victory points. I lost track of them all! You guys are a large part of that unrivaled accomplishment!
I love you all!

Whee! That all looks correct, though I have been inputting my name as "Jamie Turney, bluedove" a lot lately.
No fair that the cake was a lie, btw. Now I want cake. =P
Do we get to roll for boons on a special?
Das Boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Mystery d6: 1d6 ⇒ 6

GM Hmm |

Yes. I was going to roll for you guys, but by all means keep that roll.
Now, roll a 1d6, please.
Hmm

GM Hmm |

Anyone else doing rolls now? Should I even plan to a set of group rolls for the remaining, or should I just let us be individuals? I think you are having splendid luck so far... Maybe I should let you do this individually.

I might need some clarification on what a "DVD-style Easter Egg" entails. I get the impression mine might not be up to par.
So do I get the Hmm LBP award? =D Least Botted Player... XD
Do your games often give Bot-Buddy so much to do, or was this a special circumstance?
It was a very fun game and seemed to include a LOT more than the last special I participated in did. Well done, Hmm! *applauds*

GM Hmm |

If you're not the LBP, you're certainly in the running.
To answer your question, let's look at my past history:
Risen from the Sands: Hell, yes! Gerald witnessed that one. I had three weeks to do a dungeon crawl with many, many rooms. We rolled through a new room each day! Bot Buddy was everywhere, basically botting after 8 hours absence because we needed to keep moving or miss our deadline.
Ironbound Schism: Bot Buddy showed up once to announce my botting policy, and twice when someone went on a camping trip with his wife. We finished in 3 weeks, and that was with me taking every Wednesday completely off. The group was on fire, and Bot Buddy moaned about being stuck in his box.
Overflow Archives: Bot Buddy came out a bit, but there was a lot to process -- there was a mystery in the background, and fey creatures and a bizarre environment. I let the group find its own pace and we finished in.... 5 weeks? Part of getting pacing right is knowing when you have to slow down.
Doom Comes to Dustpawn: A fantastic module. Bot Buddy came out a couple times because we lost two players early, and he had to cover until their replacements arrived. He also came out once in full megalomania mode one day when everyone stalled, and threatened to run the entire module by himself. Everyone laughed and posted about an hour later. Otherwise... he stayed in his box. We kept a good pace, but it was a module with lots to discover and process. I had to allow some time for the players to savor it.
Murder's Mark of Crows: Bot Buddy really only came out at a few times, mostly when players were off at conventions. They all told me when they would be gone, and so he only botted for expected absences.
Sky Key Solution: I'll admit that I wanted you guys to experience the whole special. The only way that could happen (and that we'd have a chance for RP) was to ask everyone who joined me for 2-3 posts a day. I used Bot Buddy ruthlessly to keep that pace going. I fully admit that in combats I generally automatically botted the last two players to respond so that everyone could come in on the next round. This was an incredibly long scenario -- 60 pages -- and it was supposed to be run in six weeks? It felt like three regular scenarios! So many combats, research checks, RP moments... I wanted to make sure that my team missed out on none of them.
Would I do that again if there wasn't a literal deadline hanging over our heads in the sky? Maybe, maybe not. But this was timed... Heck, I even allowed myself to get botted for two days, I was so worried about falling behind. I didn't get any days off except for the two where I was unconscious and running a high fever.
You were botted less than the GM! That's saying something!
I hope it wasn't too crazy and stressful for all of you! I'm glad you had fun... I tried to keep it fun, and keep you all engaged and excited to continue.

ON EASTER EGGS
King of Anything wrote a lovely treatise on PbP Easter Eggs.
<Philosophical Exploration of the Easter Egg>
The closing credits are a great place to sum up your adventure and how your character has grown throughout. You've been playing for awhile now, so take some time to look back through the adventure and think about what moments stood out as meaningful, or could be explored a little more.
Your Easter Egg can be presented as a vignette centering around your character, or as a report or letter to your superiors/family, or as a quick scene between NPCs reacting in your character's absence. There are many possibilities!
Some good questions to ask yourself and/or answer in an Easter Egg:
1. How did my character introduce themselves? Are they the same character now?
2. What relationships did my character form in this adventure? How will they end? (Or will they continue??)
3. What did my character learn about themselves or the world?
4. What does my character do between adventures?
5. Where is the pie?Your game has been a pleasure to follow. Finish strong!
Now the special was weird. So much combat, and the story was hard to find... So don't worry about your Easter Egg being especially deep or meaningful. I liked what you wrote about you and Guen!
Hmm

GM Hmm |

So tired... whose boon rolls are we missing? Just Cacu's?
Hmm

![]() |

Thanks for the awesome table, Hmm! And to Bot Buddy, too!
Details look correct, although I suppose I should actually roll the day job:
Craft (Gemcutting): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
And the boon:
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3
if needed: 1d6 ⇒ 1

GM Hmm |

Daeris and Sparkle, can you PM me your emails one more time?
Hmm
Also: Boon?:: 1d20 ⇒ 5

GM Hmm |

Daeris, you won a boon that was described by our dear Overseer as:
Player Boon #6: FEAR ME! (over and over and over and over…)
Sparkle-Weave, you won a boon that was described by our dear Overseer as:
Player Boon #1: Sajan looks awesome in Horror Adventures
And I realized that I've already emailed Rob about other things, so I'm using that email for boon reporting purposes!

GM Hmm |

I have reported the Session, and now...
Let me know right away if there are any changes that need to be made.

![]() |

Looks correct, Hmm! I'd like to thank you again for running, as this was really excellent. :)

GM Hmm |

Sparkle-Weave is only lvl 4 and so should get OOT gold.
1875 in this case.
The revised chronicle sheet should now be up! Math is NOT my strong spot as a GM.
Hmm

![]() |

So just so I am understanding correctly, the boons gained from this scenario would allow us to make a brand new character that can have three traits, so long as one of them is the bonus trait granted from the boon right?

GM Hmm |
