Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
The darkness crawls across her, closing her wounds. She fiddles with something in her pockets. She hasn't forgotten the lantern, and the benefits it contains. After this job, maybe she'll be done.
Maybe.
"R-ready."
She waves her hands in the air, and her cloak seems to sprout two transparent wings.
Wings of Darkness: I can fly at 60 ft for the next minute. I have a +6 to Fly.

Mirror image is personal, so can only be cast on people who can use the scroll on themselves, but invisibility works
So mirror image on Joliryn, Invis on the dragon, Invis on the profesional - should help with sneak attack, fly on Joliryn and Marnarius? (so we have 4 people flying now) and I keep both wands - I don't think anyone else can use them?)
Mirror images: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Marnarius, the Vengeful |

Marnarius surveys his group's preparations with a bit of impatience, drawing his bow and making sure that his vials of poison are within easy reach. He watches Shohiraj working on the door, lending assistance when he can.
Aid another, Perception to spot traps: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Aid another, Disable device to disarm any traps she finds: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
I'll take the fly, just in case. It won't do any harm, either way.

DM Kludde |

Sho's detect traps: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Shohiraj inspects the door, but does not find any nasty mechanical devices.

![]() |

Just to point out some things I just found out; the proffesional has trap spotter; so when she get's within 10ft of trap the GM should roll to see if she notices it so maybe we don't need to call out we check for traps everywhere go go ;)
Also her perception is listed as +14 in her stat blocks but only a +12 in the quick reference on top and she get's a +3 from being a rogue to spot traps as well..so that roll should be at least 3 higher (possibly 5 higher depending on which perception modifier is the correct one. From what I can tell; 7 ranks, trained+3 +2 wisdom, +2 eyes of keen sight +2 so the 14 should be the correct one) and Marnarius was assisting for another +2 ..just in case a perception of 28) does spot a trap
Joliryn motions for the others to open the door and makes a snapping motion with he hard to indicate a chopping motion - move in fast and move in hard.

DM Kludde |

The door itself is locked, but no match for the professional's skills.
This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. A strange armillary pulses with energy from atop the pedestal. Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curiosities and curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock on the eastern wall ticks each passing second.
Inside the room is fabled master of scrolls, Aram Zey, taunting the agents. Trying to steal a little trinket, aren't you? Think you can just run off with it? Always too eager, always too simple.
He starts casting a spell.

Marnarius, the Vengeful |

Marnarius storms into the room as soon as the door is opened. Once he steps into the room he pushes off hard, launching himself into the air. "We'll walk out of here right after we've dealt with you. You'll die for your crimes!" he hisses at the Pathfinder's head wizard. Now let's test his defenses. Marnarius studies Zey's movements and his positioning, then lets an arrow fly.
Active buffs: Fly spell (60 foot movement speed, Good maneuverability)
Move action into the room, ascending 45 degrees once I'm into the room. This puts me at 10' elevation. Swift action for Studied target. Then standard attack with Longbow.
Attack longbow +2 Study: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29
Damage +2 Study: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12
This will teach me to read abilities in full. I had "Swift poison" as an ability on my sheet and thought it made applying poison a swift action. It doesn't, it's still a move action. :(

The Experiment, 322 |

322 flies from the door and lands on top of one of the couches. She then casts Ghoul Touch.
My buffs include Ghoul Touch, Wings of Darkness and Armor of Darkness.

Keen edge on my kukri, fly spell, mirror image spell with 5 images. I didn't mention casting it before, but if it's alright I'd also like to have shield active before going in - as I just noticed on my character sheet that I have the spell
Also invis cast on the proffesional and the dragon

Shohiraj spots the clear outline of a pressure trap, just beyond the door. Marnarius manages to avoid it, as does the experiment, both of them by flying over. Zurnzal... less luck - he rushes in before she can warn the ambitious man.
The statues turn toward the ambitious as soon as he triggers the pressure plate. A pair of crossbow bolt fly at him, hitting the unprepared half-orc and covering him in a thick goo.

Marnarius shoots his bow, and hits the wizard in the knee, while the experiment moves closer and casts a foul spell.
The mirror image on Joliryn will have worn off by the time you get to the door, since it took you 7 minutes to move from the tapestry room to the library (and Rataji cast it)

The mirror image on Joliryn will have worn off by the time you get to the door, since it took you 7 minutes to move from the tapestry room to the library (and Rataji cast it)
I was under the impression it (along with all other buff spells - other then keen edge (which lasts 10 min/lvl) - was cast in front of the door after we arrived there, not when we left to go towards the door. Also if he cast it it would have been on him since the range is personal, Jolyrin cast it on herself from the scroll. Rataji just helped identify the last scroll, as far as I know he didn't cast any buff spell before he left - I didn't think he could have cast buff spells on us when he left

PRC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
hah, pathetic. You're trying to sneak in like that? Arazm Zey taunts the professional, then casts a quickened spell at the Vengeful, Ambitious and Dragon
I need a DC 20 will save or be slowed
He then focuses a spell on the experiment, who suddenly feels her mental state come apart, her mind breaking the threshold into the dark void beyond.
Feeblemind: DC 22 will save or have cha and int drop to 1
You get the feeling that something seems to be off with Aram Zey. He doesn't look... real.

This is too easy, somehow. Shouldn't he have more defenses? Something's up.
Marnarius warns the others while trying to figure out what's going on. "Keep your eyes open, team. We're dealing with a vile but cunning mage. I have the feeling he's not real somehow. There's some kind of magic at work."
My save and next action will have to wait until tomorrow.

Zurnzal the Ambitious |

I'm probably dead again. I was at -21, then breath of life, and dunno if I got healed any more than that. I've been too busy with RPG SS to pay attention closely.
Looking back at posts, I was up to 7 HP and haven't been healed since then. So now I'm at -8.

The Experiment, 322 |

Go go will save!
Will Save: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Aram Zey loosens the binds of experiment 322's mind, she feels the void lunging at it, trying to tear it apart. As she struggles against it, but she is finally able to hear it. It doesn't want to kill her, it embraces her. Invites her to be one with nothing and everything all at once. For a brief moment, she is one with existence, and has Aram Zey to thank for it.
She giggles maniacally as she hops towards Aram Zey and tries to touch him.
Melee Touch attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Ghoul Touch: Fort Save DC 16 or he is paralyzed for 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 minutes. One Save or Suck spell deserves another, right? If this works I kinda shut this fight down...

DM Kludde |

Marnarius howls as he realizes the deception. "Stop wasting your time with the thing," he berates his team in frustation, pointing at the image of Aram Zey. "It's just an illusion. He has to be somewhere else, hidden or invisible." Marnarius feels a spell taking hold of him, but anger at behind conned allows him to slip free of its effect. "Find him!" he growls.
Marnarius himself flies higher upwards, trying to get a good look around the balcony, hopefully noticing something out of the ordinary.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Noticing Zurnzal hit by the two crossbow bolts, Marnarius pulls the healing potion from his belt, ready to fly down and administer the potion to the half-orc.

Actually you should have been full..still no clue how to link posts..so to quote 322; I'd probably burn through 2 of my Cure Serious Wound spells healing you to full. Now's the best time to spend the scroll, I say. That's 110 HP, so you should be back to full.

Sorry, forgot to mention it was a melee attack with the kukhri
Did he turn visible after casting that spell?
Spellcraft to identify defensive spell being cast (assuming he's either visible now and it has vocal components?): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Reflex save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Joliryn flinches as the fire washes over her but manages to avoid some of the fire as she lunges to the side.
Joiryn then slaps her forehead as she suddenly comes to realization that she must have suffered a severe blow to the head in battle before..she has been trained for just this sort of thing
Doh, just realized I have glitter dust as a spell..I should never have attacked with melee last round....
In case he's still invisible
"Dragon is he still at the same location?"
Joliryn then summons forth a sparkling cloud of glittering dust at the rough location the dragon indicates (DC 16 will save or blinded) before concentrating on her inner power to enter a state of inner focus (swift action to use eldritch pool to enter inner focus, DC to cast defensively goes up with +6 when adjacent to Joliryn) and moving adjacent to Aram Zey, hopefully pinning him against the wall
To hit AC: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
If hit: 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 + fire: 1d6 ⇒ 4

I think I'm in the wrong place on the map. I assume you (Kludde) moved me back before when I thought the trap killed me, but I took a double move into the room the first action. Meaning I should be next to where the illusory Zey is. Since I never went down in the first place, can we move me back there before I take this action?

Marnarius, the Vengeful |

Reflex save vs the fire: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Marnarius quickly get the hang of flying, using his agility to dart out of the path of the fire.
Can I retract the action of drawing the potion? I only did that because I thought Zurnzal was dying at the moment. It doesn't change any of my actions on previous turns, but only means that I still have two hands available this turn
"Finally," he growls as the real Aram Zey turns visible, outlined by Joliryn's magic. "Nice work, Jo."
Marnarius studies the wizard and his doubles for a moment, but quickly gives up trying to figure out which one is real. So, these doubles go away if you attack them? Very well then. Still holding his bow, Marnarius quickly fires two arrows, hoping to pick out the real Zey or at least dispel two of the doubles.
Swift action to Study target, on the 'real' Aram Zey this time. 5 foot step while flying. This is less than half speed, so needs a DC 10 Fly check to remain in the air. Then a full-round action to attack twice with my longbow. Precise shot, so I don't think I have any penalty.
Fly check, +2 Dex, +4 spell: 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 2 + 4 = 19
Attack Longbow +2 Study +1 PBS: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 25

Damage +2 Study +1 PBS: 1d8 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 13

DM Kludde |

Ambitious: Although the trap didn't kill you, it did entangle you (as per tanglefoot bag), so I need a DC 15 RFX if you want to move off your spot. Just make the save, and depending on the result, put yourself at where you would have been, is that ok?
Also, could you be a bit more pro-active posting your actions? You have an action in mind. Just assume I either allow you to move, or don't, and post actions accordingly? Saves a lot of waiting.
Marnaius: I'm fine with withdrawing the action.

Marnarius holds until one of his team members gives him information on the spell cast, ready to fire two more arrows.
Delay while someone makes a Spellcraft checks. Assuming Zey didn't cast a spell that interferes with ranged attacks, Marnarius will repeat his last turn's actions: 5' step forward, Fly check to stay in the air, two more attacks with his bow.
DC 10 Fly check to keep afloat: 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 4 = 21
