Proving how pathfinders are not just scholars but also circus level acrobats when they need to, you easily avoid the mass of bodies fleeing from the now animated pieces of armor.
It seems like you have only one choice: return the evil spirits to the oblivion that spawned them!

I'm assuming that bow we picked up was not an appropriate size for Q'lack? Also, did it have a strength adjustment on it? If not, he might use it anyway.

Q'lack attack the nearest of the animated armors. Both hit, but while the grippli's shot only causes a small dent into the metal of the armor, Slade literally cuts it in two, immediately causing the now halved petal pieces to fall on the floor with a loud clang! Behind you you can hear Cincia's yelling:"NO! Those are invaluable relics from the Shining Crusade itself! Try to be gentler, PLEASE!"
Meanwhile Hnry rushes towards the other animated monstrosities, Myrd summons two earth elementals that start to pummel on the armor engaged by Henry causing some damage to it. At the same time Zomo tries to pin one down with magic...
Reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
And suceeds!
Only Neiu-lung seems oddly undecided and keeps studing the unfolding battle.
Yet the remaining animated armors don't allow for that kind of luxury! The blue metal armor tries to break free from Zomo's glue...

DM Elan Morin |
Never understimate pathfinders! With balde, fist and magic you vanquish the 2 remaining animated armors in a matter of seconds.
As this happens Joleana, Rasvelg, Neffery and Cincia help reestablish order and tend to the wounded. Everyone is extremely grateful for your intervention.
Cincia does not know where Earl Calhadion Vernisant acquired the Gallowspire chest, but she’s both excited and worried about the implications that the General Arnisant collection has discoveries such as these that might be hiding elsewhere on the premises.
She asks that the Society send an occultist or other magically adept agent to help her search for forgotten treasures that the general and his family might have hidden away.
Rasvelg takes an active hand in cleaning up any debris, mentioning that he feels sorry for Vernisant’s guards and noting with disappointment that they had to be rescued from a pair of gloves.
Neffery is beaming from having defended Ridonport with his own hands, noting that his childhood fencing lessons truly paid off.
Finally, Joleana replaces her holy symbol and remarks that she was worried she’d become “too old for this sort of thing,” though she won’t retire so long as the people of Ridonport need her.
Everyone is disappointed in the earl’s behavior, and its clear the crowd feels the same way.
Within 24 hours, hundreds of Ridonport’s concerned citizens surround the
earl’s manor and demand answers for what he did. For a time, it seems as though he’s shouting from inside to negotiate some kind of truce. However, a wainwright spots the earl trying to sneak out of his estate by climbing down a chimney, only for the nobleman to slip and tear his jacket. In the weeks that follow, the Tandak prefecture is ablaze with
gleeful stories about how a soot-smeared Vernisant fled with only one boot astride a stolen draft horse. Vernisant quickly finds his way to Oppara, where he seeks refuge among Grand Prince Stavian III’s loyalists. Even there, he’s followed by questions of why he allowed piracy in his region and why he was soliciting bribes from navy officers, leading to a formal censure issued by the senate and barring him from voting in the upcoming primogeniture decision.
Scenario's over. Well done! You did a semi perfect run and earned 2 prestige awards. CS will be done for tomorrow (I hope)
A few days later you are back in Oppara, where Venture Captain Muesello welcomes you inside his secret Lodge:"So, agents... I believe it's time for you to make a full report of your activities in Rindonport... am I right?" he says, smiling at you.
Q'lack |
"Things were not as we hoped." sighs Q'lack.
"The earl was indeed involved in the removal of artefacts from the museum. And gold from the navy, and goods from his neighbours. All in all a bad apple in the barrel. However he played his cards poorly, and lost the support of the people. You'll be pleased to here the museum now looks on our society with some favor."
Lord Zomo al-Hadir |
"Somehow the Earl found a cursed artifact, now the museum is considering having qualified personnel catalog the collection. An without the Earl sponsoring them, the river piracy should go down."
Henry de Karthis |
Taldor is roted to the core, but I hope what happened will teach a valuable lesson to those like the earl. But after our mission I think the place will get better and that we've earn, the Society, the respect of the people of Riddonport as well as the good will of the curator.
Myrd Sharpclaw |
"I think we managed to further both the Society's as Lady Gloriana Morilla's goals" Myrd adds
