The pathfinder team slips forward into the museum. It looks as if a battle has happened here, the impression enhanced further by the exhibitions.
Long shadows cast by ruined displays and broken furniture litter the floor. A humanoid-shaped figure made of shattered clockwork lies slumped over a bench. Above, an elaborately painted sign reads “Crusader’s Chronicles.”
The team hears a low growling sound nearby...

"Well done pathfinders, there is enough bloodshed in there already. No need for these poor animals to be part of it."
Nicely done. And you can save your sleep spell.
"Those wards are still causing issues..." he notes. You hear a series of bangs and flashes of light from where other teams of pathfinders are trying to disarm them. Still, from inside it sounds as if there is still a lot happening...
You can hear back into the museum and go upstairs, or try your hand on the wards.

Ny'a looks over to the wards with curiousity, but defers to the group's interest. This strange memory Iomedae has given me never shows me at the wards... if she gave me this memory it must be for a reason. If she wanted me to tackle the wards, she would have shown that to me. I think?
Aerondor, I think we've been avoiding the wards because we assume our party isn't arcane enough. We do have a wizard and a bard in the party though, so are we over-thinking the need for a strong arcane party to tackle the wards? Just a thought. In both my Core and Standard runs through the A version, my party never chose to tackle the wards... if you think our party has the right tools to tackle it, it might be fun to do something different.

The scenario allows for a mix of characters to tackle problems. Although some are more efficient than others. It is really which you would prefer to do. The magical wards are a little more challenging. However while the overseer has not reported it yet, it looks like enough other teams have passed that encounter to make it unnecessary
The team heads back into the museum. As you pass through you see further signs of battle. Several fur armoured bodies are passed, along with numerous deactivated clockwork guardians and dead guard animals. It is almost like there has been a running war going on within the museum.
All around the displays stand broodingly, many torn apart by battle, some more systematically though. Slowly you approach the upper floors.
Gears, glass, and chunks of wax litter the polished wood floor under a sign that proclaims “Scars of the Lich.” The corpse of a Kellid warrior lies in a pool of blood, her furs soaked through. A constant ticking and whirring sound echoes in this area.
Nearby one of the figures of a crusader stalks the floor, waxy eyes turn for focus on you...

Jangalee takes a vicious swipe at the waxen construct, his scythes blade cutting easily into the soft material. Panja continues to assault the creature as well, one claw leaving long gouges along its flank. The tiger then sinks its teeth into the human-like figures shoulder, but instead of the taste of human flesh, it gets only a tasteless mouthful of wax.
Still, it seems to be having some difficulty maintaining its form, and finally Ny'a ducks under its swinging fists, sword following a sweeping horizontal arc, and takes off one of its legs just above the knee.
The entire waxen golem goes crashing to the museum floor, only to be cut in twain by Tolinath's axe! Any semblance of motion is gone.
Combat over!
Your victory is short-lived, as you still hear sound of combat elsewhere, as your fellow Pathfinders continue trying to quell the out of control security measures. Much of it seems to have been dealt with though.
At the moment, the only thing left is the runes outside in the garden. They have been mostly disabled, but a few of them still swirl suspiciously.

You quickly pop back outside, to make sure the wards active around the outside of the museum have indeed all been disabled.
Most of them appear to be just that, but as you case the perimeter, you realize a few are still functioning. No longer the vast wall you saw on the way in, there are still a few smaller bands still circling nearby! They seem to react to your presence, almost as if they can see you, and start to coalesce into a larger mass near the fountain.
The glyphs, though arcane wards... also have an obvious physical presence. As such, you might be able to damage them enough to disable some, but there are also a number of skills that could work as well, including Disable Device, Knowledge (arcana), Linguistics, Spellcraft, and Use Magic Device.
It is a construct, with construct traits!
