"Well done, Pathfinders! This evil shall be destroyed!" shouts Lyana as she glares at the man atop the diaz.

Will we need to continue to make acrobatics checks throughout this entire chamber?

Once out of the corridor and into the square room there is no need for acrobatics checks

I realise I forgot to give you a description of the chamber itself.

Carved from the bedrock around it, this rectangular chamber is covered in runes
and glyphs that are a mix of Azlanti and the tongue of the indigenous primitive humans who lived in Taldor before the descendants of Lost Azlant settled here.

The chamber includes a giant raised dais, upon which is perched a large, raw stone with the symbol of Zyphus carved into it: a heavy pick made from a femur, skull, and rib. The stone seems to have been dropped from a great height as the stone dais upon which it rests has collapsed around the shape of the stone. The stone itself shines with a gentle, shimmering glow that bathes the room in greenish light. A circular gap, just large enough to fit the stone, is visible in the ceiling above, and it’s obvious that a flat, heavy capstone was placed over that gap.

A jet of acid jumps out from Irisis, burning the man in red armour.

Volar and Smiler try to close
acrobatics: 2d20 ⇒ (17, 13) = 30
Neither has any difficulty.
Smiler tries to bite the armored man
bite: 1d20 ⇒ 1 <- actually he shouldn't have been able to do this, never mind, it missed anyway.
But fails miserably.

The man in red armor tries to cut Smiler in return.
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
His blow deflects off the invisible force armour the team put around the great ape.

The man at the back points a finger at smiler and utters some words
will save: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Smiler turns and flees in terror!
for rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 1
As smiler turns, the man in red tries to strike at him.
AOO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
But again is not able to land a solid blow.

I realized that I am not in range and need to move 15' which is over a half move. Ignore that last hit and either use the roll as an acrobatics roll or tell me to make a different roll. Acrobatics for Deluge is -1.

15' is a half move for Deluge, so if that would put him in range, I'm happy to take the 12 for an acrobatics, and then a second roll for the touch attack.

The big rock is magical, but nothing else in the room. Oh, the man had some potions on him, but they have been drunk. The Glutton.

The rock seems to pulse in an eerie manner.

Behind you the two noble's carefuly make their way through the water. One appears rather damp and muddy.

"Oh my goodness, what is that?"

The nobles are gawking at the large rock. It just looks evil.

Lots of odd runes are carved in it and around the room.

Lots of poking and prodding reveals little about them though. Ultimately you are left with a bit of a quandary - try and destroy the rock that must have been at the centre of this mess... or somehow try and secure it for the society.

It takes a lot (and I mean a huge amount) of work, but Kildrek sets to it with gusto. While the nobles don't help, the rest of the pathfinders might.

Luckily there are plenty of high quality picks around.

Eventually the rock is reduced to rubble.

As it falls a boom echoes through the halls. Sounds of exclamation filter down from upstairs. It would seem whatever was holding the doors shut...isn't any more.

Returning upstairs you find a remarkable number of still alive nobles and middle class folk. Probably more than half, mainly due to the heroic actions of the pathfinder team.

Searching through the dead you eventually find your missing colleague Wuthers and interestingly, his journal.

It seems he had started to harbour some concerns about the character of his companion the 'cleric of Irori'.

Well done everyone. Chronicles are linked about. Thanks for playing! That last encounter went much quicker than I expected!
