Markas double moves to get close enough to the ettercap to attack on the next round.

@Elsabeth - You only have to see me in order to receive benefits of bardic performance and flag. No reason why you would need to deny yourself the bonuses.
Fronar moves next to Markas. Then waves his wand...

Elsabeth and Markas are able to take down the ettercap with 2 solid strikes.
As you explore the cavern you notice the ettercaps’ nest suspends from the ceiling.
a few gems, pendants, and gold pieces, and a masterwork
silver short sword.
The cocoons hanging behind the altar contain a number of human bodies—Lady Riverbane’s former companions or crewmen from the Hanspur’s Luck.
One is an elderly Osirion man the other man is younger.

Markas attempts to climb up to investigate things a little further.

But the combined weight of his armor and weapons prevents him from climbing high enough to truly get a good look at things.

"I have no healing skill... can anyone tell if these guys are alive or not? Shouldn't we try to help them if they are?"

K, moving on..if someone wants to check them for a pulse later that's fine...for now i'll just assume your carrying back their bodies as a sign of respect
Unable to reach the ettercaps nest you collect the 2 bodies you found and move out of the cave to report back to Lady Rivenbane about your findings.
When you finally exit the loathsome shrine, it looks like the sun itself decided to celebrate your victory over the evil denizens of the mound. But the sun didn’t come alone: Lady Riverbane and four of her rough pirate flunkies also await your party.
“Well,” says the jet-haired pirate woman, lips twisted in a grin. “Shiver me timbers! Look who made it out alive. I hoped the crawling horrors would be the end of you, but I suppose vermin don’t eat each other.” Riverbane spits on the moss covered ground before continuing. “Why do Pathfinders always have to meddle in what doesn’t concern them?”
Pulling out an ancient-looking tome from a pouch, she throws it unceremoniously in the mud. “Fools! All this for a book …”
She errupts in laughter. “Bazzak dies tomorrow and you die today! KILL THEM!”

As the lady casts the spell, Markas tightens his grip on his weapon hoping to stop it from slipping, but the grease is to strong as the weapon slips from his hand and crashes to the ground.

Fronar waves the Pathfinder banner proudly for all to see (Flagbearer). Then begins a series of spins, foot taps, and arm flourishes (Bardic performance-Inspire Courage).
+2 attack, + 2 damage to all who can see Fronar

Hate to say this, but: "Inspire Courage (Su): A 1st level bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies (including himself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard’s performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. "
Note: it says only applies to attack and WEAPON damage rolls - not spells, unless of course yours has some different component not in the raw

Seijiro moves quickly before the pirate can react and stabs one of them causing him to drop to the ground
@Markas, you misses actually moving to get close enough to something to hit it..but since you have a +1 base attack bonus you can move and draw your weapon at the same time
Markas having lost the grip on the weapon he was holding moves closer to one of the pirates drawing a back-up weapon as he goes and then smashes his weapon into the thugs face..dropping him to the ground in one fell swoop.
Fronar inspires everyone to greater heights in the combat department
Inspire courage does not work on spells that don't summon a weapon for which you need to roll an attack roll (there's a few of those)
Elsabeth moves up next to another pirate and copies Markas move, by smashing into the thugs head and dropping him to the floor in 1 hit
Molos screams..but only Lady Rivenbane seems to take the full force of his unnatural screaming
Fort save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
and she ends up clutching her ears and rocking back and forth
Daniloth goes fully on the defensive and guards your rear..in case more spiders show up from inside the cave

Seijiro expertly dodges around the last pirate and with one devastating hit is able to drop him
As Molos casts a spell the combined force of Elsabeth and Markas takes down Lady Rivenbane.
Investigating you see that the book Riverbane tossed to the ground
is named Memoirs of the Silver Brotherhood.
Lady Rivenbane was also carrying; potion of bear’s endurance, potion of cure moderate wounds, wand of magic missile (CL 1) 25 charges;
mithral shirt, potion of undetectable alignment (3), jewelry (100 gp value), pouch with 50 gp, rapier, while the pirates only had scimitars and armor.
You are free to return to the Scrag Fisher. Two pirates still on board plead ignorance of their captain’s conspiracy and readily offer to bring the Pathfinders back to Deadbridge. Following
an uneventful return trip, you meet again with the Black Marquis. The man listens to their tale with great interest and thanks you profusely. Being the greedy pirate he is, Bazzak refuses to reward you beyond letting them keep what they looted. “Such is the way of the River Kingdoms,” he declares. “If nothing else, your involvement in this affair helped free the region of a dangerous ettercap menace. Hopefully, that’s worth a quick mention in a Pathfinder Chronicle. No?” As for Istivil Bosk, he is certainly
disappointed by the turn of events but doesn’t hold it against the you.
