"Sarenrae bless you who would stand against tyranny!"
Calls out Chaul as he advances.
Bless spell (everyone +1 to hit), then moves to provide flanking for Shorn
Gorn the Shorn
|
Gorn will attack the bandit as he rides by.
Attack of Opportunity on Bandit 1 with Bless: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21
AoO Damage if hits: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
After Bandit 1 flees, he takes a swing at the northern bandit to keep him away from Chaul. (Bandit 4?)
Attack 'north bandit': 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7
Off balance from the ride-by attack, he tries to attack the northern bandit, missing the bandit.
Thael Silverstep
|
Thael spins around to attack one of the mounted bandits behind him with his crossbow, but once again misses widely.
Light crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 for Light crossbow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
I've determined wizards are not meant to use these ghastly contraptions. Just point and shoot, they said. Balderdash!
Desiring to conserve his spells, he nevertheless loads another bolt.
Elian Darkstar
|
Do we get AoOs against the ride-by attack? If so... awesome, I'll throw one out there for time saving sake. If not, then disregard that attack. Lol.
Attack of Opportunity on Bandit 2?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Elian strikes out with his spear as the tengu charge by on their horses, ducking beneath an attack!
He spins quickly, pointing his spear at the same target, and begins speaking in a strange, comforting language (Celestial). "Nid yw eich ffrind! Ladd ef!" While the tengu may not understand the language, his mind is assaulted by an alien insanity which compels him to kill his friends!
Murderous Command on Bandit #2. He must succeed on a Will save DC 14 or attack his nearest ally.
Whoops! Forgot to impose my curse last round, sorry GM Kim! I've adjusted appropriately this time, I won't forget it next time.
| GM Kim |
The only one who does is Gorn, and only because he wasn't the target. Also, Gorn, the bonus from bless doesn't occur during the AoO, since the spell wasn't cast until after the rider's turn, which is when you had the opportunity for the attack.
Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Gorn swings at the bandit as he rides past him, but is unable to drop him. Dagat, however, is able to nail the rider after his charge. The rider slumps in his saddle, and does not seem to be moving anymore.
Chaul calls out to his Goddess for aid during the battle as Gorn, after a spectacular hit against the charging bandit, misses the one standing next to him. Thael maintains his deadly accuracy and nails a tree with a bolt. Surely the mage must have something against wood.
Elian shouts in celestial at the bandit who nearly sliced him. Hopefully his strange words strike home!
Again, all eyes fall on the bard. A strange quiet descends on the small road, as even the flora and fauna wait to see what he might do.

The remaining mounted bandit dismisses the inept crossbowman and charges again past Elian, swinging on his way by. Both bandits on the ground swing and bite at the flanked Gorn with swords and pecking beaks, before each shifts closer to the holy man behind them.
Bandit 2 ride-by charge against Elian: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 12
Bandit 3 blade attack on Gorn: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12

Dagat continues running through the trees, sending an arrow at the bandit still next to Gorn and missing. Fortunately, Gorn knocks the arrow aside with his shield before it reaches his tender dwarven flesh.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing Noorzad before Wednesday... So I'll post the bandits actions now! We can squeeze Noorzad's actions in if he's still about...

Elian gasps as the blade bites deep into his shoulder, his spear hand reflexively reaching up to the wound. A moment later, however, the healing power of Chaul washes over him and staunches the flow of blood. He takes a moment to get a good look at the battlefield and then withdraws from his current enemy and slips around the cart.
He makes his approach the other bandit from the rear, while at the same time restricting the mounted bandit of his choice of target.
Withdraw action to move to indicated position on map. Take that mounted tengu bandit! lol
| GM Kim |
Thael continues to fill the air with errant bolts around the rider charging up and down the road. Elian grabs his spear firmly and runs around the backside of the wagon, finding shelter from the same mounted foe.
Gorn swings his axe at the bandit posing him and Chaul such difficulties, but is unable to hit his mark. Meanwhile, Noorzad ambles of into the woodline, taking a seat in the shade of a large elm tree and pulls out his book of sonnets, bringing quill to paper to write of this epic struggle, the Brawl on Last Road.
The mounted bandit, finding his prey now removed, is faced with the unarmored spectacle of the man firing so many bolts at him. Squawking, he races his horse past Thael, leaning over to slash at the wizard as he rides by. As his horse races into the thin woodline, he spots Dagat and squawks again!
The dismounted bandits continue to harass the holy man, witnessing the man undo all their hard work single-handedly.

Gorn's axe smashes into the ground, glancing off the bandits armor, sending dirt and rock, and an errant root, flying everywhere.
Noorzad looks up once in a while, watching small details of the fight as he writes, wincing at the beatings his friends are taking and hoping they find a way to make it through. Perhaps they need additional aid, but where would such aid come from!? He takes a sip from a waterskin as he thinks this conundrum through. It sure is warm out, today.
He watches as the mounted bandit wheels his horse about, charging back the way he came towards Thael. The two dismounted bandits continue to follow the priest attacking everyone around them with in feathery flurry of beaks and blades. He leans back against the trunk, sipping yet again from his waterskin. Maybe someone in Absalom could help. But how to get a message there in time...?

Bandit 2's Soft Fall check v DC 15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
As the mounted bandit comes closer to Thael, Thael's incantation is completed with a few short words and a vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from his hand. The waves of different colors splash over the bandit and his horse. The bandit resists the spell, but it proves too much for the horse, who drops to the ground unconscious.
The bandit is able to leap free from the horse in time to not become entangled with it and charges at Thael, squawking in fury!

Noorzad scootches over a bit, what with that root poking him in his rear. Man, that's uncomfortable. He notices his friends start to take a beating. Wow, those swords sure do look sharp! As he sips from his waterskin, he sure is glad it's not him out there. Hopefully, sometime soon before it's too late, someone might find them on this road and supply assistance. And, maybe, when they get to town, maybe he should pick up an umbrella, because that sun looks brutal for the complexion...

Shift as swift action, move action, then load crossbow as move action.
| GM Kim |
As long as there are no more than 3 injured enemies, you don't have to keep saying that you're excepting them if you're in the process of fighting. I'm not going to heal them unless you specifically want me to. So don't sweat it about putting in that you exclude them, only make sure that it's noted if you want them healed (for like interrogations or whatnot). Since you don't have variant channeling, uninjured enemies won't benefit whatsoever from your channels, so you're good there, too. Now, if you have 4 or more injured enemies within 30' while channeling, we'll need to talk exclusions...
Also, silly teleportation conjurer's.
Dagat moves back away from the cowering peasants, firing another arrow at the now dismounted bandit, but again is unable to land a hit. Elian jabs his spear at the bandits back, but the strike goes awry when the spear tip catches an errant root being tossed back by Gorn's blow.

Noorzad takes a last look around, sighs, then stands up, "Well, if nobody else will go and get help, I guess I'll do it." He then walks back down the road from the way the Pathfinders originally came from, still writing the epic tale Last Stand at Last Road in his book, oblivious to his surroundings.
The bandits, having lost half of their number, suddenly realize that the odds don't look good for them. This is obvious by the darting of their eyes, the squawks shared between them ("Xiànzài shì shíhòu líkāi zhèlǐ, xiōngdì, yǐqián wǒmen dōu sǐle zhèxiē lánlù de!", "Nǐ zǒuliǎo, dàgē! Wǒ huì gēnzhe...... Wǒ bù zhīdào wǒ shìfǒu kěyǐ bǎ tā... cough cough"), and their sudden withdrawal from battle. Well, withdrawal for one, furious limping for the other.
"You go, Brother! I will follow... I don't know if I can make it... cough cough"
Gorn and Chaul may make attacks of opportunity on Bandit 4 as he hobbles away, leaving a trail of blood... Party's up! Critters will act/flee again on Wednesday unless everyone posts their actions before then.

Group 2
Dagat Nagtitiis
|
My target would be Bandit 2.
Dagat moves to the small clearing for a better position before firing another arrow at the escaping bandits.
Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Gorn the Shorn
|
Gorn will attack the bird-man as he flees.
Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 + 2 = 13
damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
As he realizes he missed, he gives chase, to the bird man, charging him from behind.
"Where Ah come from, ye fight 'til ye won or yer dead!"
Charging Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
His axe diverting from the bird man each time, Gorn wastes no time in preparing for the retribution the bird man may take.
Chaul Drammarson
|
"Redemption is still available. But I'll not leave you to attack more helpless people"
Calls out Chaul as he slices at the retreating bandit.
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Thael Silverstep
|
Thael takes a parting shot at one of the bandits, but does not feel comfortable killing his foe in such a dishonorable way. He fires high over his foe's head.
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 for damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
"Good riddance!" he yells at the bandit's back.
