Rika grins venomously. "Fury of north is going to disappoint" she taunts, rushing in and climbing the stairs two at a time. Pratts in the meantime bolts past his mistress with a screetch.


Rallas take advantage of having interrupted the ambush and swings his sword directly to the throat, cutting it and causing the man to fall to the ground trying to breath. Vortex attemps to bite the other ulfen, but the man jumps to the side avoiding the attack.

Malaika cast a spell to protect their group as Rika and Pratts move into position.

Beingirr conjures a battle axe in front of Pratts which start to attack him.

Beingirr recovers himself tied and starts yelling at you. You want me prisioner? Why? Do you expect a ransom? The ulfen is confused after seen how some robbers where harder than he thought and now he's been made prisioner.

A quick search of the wharehouse reveals the goods stolen from Skelg’s vault are stored in the loft. There are carpets, urns, sculptures, and other works of art, weighing a total of 800 pounds and worth 3,000 gp. There is also a box containing 2 potions of cure moderate wounds.

This twice-dammed skelg raided my fathers funeral ship, thus impeding mu father takes his belongings and his wife with him after Gorum's judgment. It's enough personal value for you?

I came here with my men to recover my father's belongings, so Skelg had no benefic of such miserable act. And then, in his basement things go better, because when the light touches him he started to freeze from inside. Gorum must have punished his felony making him die like and old woman!

And I will not cooperate to remove his curse, no matter what you say. Not only because he deserves what had happened to him, but also because I have no idea of how to remove it. For Nightfiend it's clear he's being sincere.

Rallas inspect the wharehouse and the ship, finding beneath one of the ship benches a small, ornately carved oaken chest inlaid with gold and precious stones itself worth 1,700 gp. Inside the chest are five potions of resist energy (cold) 30.

As Beingirr can`t help you more, and after deciding his fate, you return to Skelg manor to inform him you have recovered the lantern and the rest of what was stolen.

As he suggest you focus the lantern light on the tapestry who depicts a ship and a portal opens in front of it. It looks like a whirlwind with the changing colors of a rainbow.

As you step through the portal, you find yourself in a strange ice-cave. Sunlight filters through the walls and ceiling, and three braziers give some warmth to this otherwise chilly space. Directly ahead of you, a tunnel leads through the ice, sloping steeply downward. Behind you, a shimmering portal hangs on what appears to be a main mast embedded in the ice. Following the mast downward, you can barely make out the blurry outline of a ship’s deck below.

Now you have to decide if you go on and faces the risks of cold weather as you're clothed, DC 15 Fort save, or if you go back to prepare yourselves. But you don`t know how many time Skelg will resist so there could be consecuences if you spend too much time

Rallas sets down his pack and gets out a warm coat and fur lined bootscold weather gear bought for a previous adventure, thankfully, and looks at the rest of the party.

these potions will help, but we need to have proper gear...luckily I still had this after dealing with some goblins up north.

Nightfiend pulls out a wand that he had recently bought. "Hmm...I have this wand that should protect us from the basic elements. That being said, i'm not sure how it will hold up against magically created effect."

(I bought a wand of endure elements earlier and would be more than happy to use (1) charge for each group member and each pet.)


Nighfiend casts endure elements on everybody allowing you to resist the weather.

The sloped tunnel is slippery, but after a long curve it suddenly opens into another cave at the rear deck of a ship.
More braziers keep the worst of the cold at bay, but a wall of solid ice blocks access to the foredeck. A large drum stands on the deck, and behind it is a trapdoor leading into the hold.

The drum is meant to keep time for the oarsmen when rowing.

I've put Ghaenk first as a trap-detector, but now I need to now a marching order to go through the trapdoor

I’ll make Vortex go down first to not use Ghaenk as trap-detector
Vortex go down and talks his master and whoever hears him about the smell of death and rot that fills the lower deck, even with the cold. It is darker down here without the sunlight filtering through the ice, and no braziers burn. Shadowy movements are visible in the darkness, accompanied by an eerie creaking noise as though someone were still working the oars. A figure moves toward you along the aisle between the rowing benches. It appears to be a withered human wearing an Ulfen burial mask.
There's no light down there. If anyone is wearing a ioun torch or some kind of light let me know.
Vortex`s Darkvision allows it to see the shadowy movements are indeed putrid rowers who turn instantly toward him with violent intentions.

Rika runs down unhindered by the surrounded darkness and delivers a powerful blow against the nearest rower. Pratts, who was following rika by her scent, notes how his master attacks a bad smelling creature and also bites it, making the creature crumble in dust.

The withered human charges against Rika, trying to slam her with his own body, but the tiefling reacts quickly and moves out of its way.

Nightfiend makes sure everybody can see and moves down followed by Vortex who, unsussesfully tries to bite the withered human. Ghaenk tumbles and dodges around the same opponent before thrusting it.
Malaika follows everybody down and identifies the creatures as undead. 2nd K. religion for Malaika: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

This is a wight known to drain the life from the enemies it hits as a way to create spaws like it, those spawns come to life after a few secons before the wight slays anyone. They have no special defenses[/dice]
[spoiler=Rowers]The rowers are a kind of zombie, unless the usual zombies they doesn’t resist better any kind of weapon, but instead they resist better the cold damage. Also they can freez an opponent just by touching it, so the armors means nothing.They’re as slow and clumsy as any other zombie

One of the rowers charges against Pratts and another two against Ghaenk, who is also being attacked by the green rower. The pink rower, not having a clear path to charge drags his feet until he reaches Ghaenk.
Prattts can't avoid being slamed by the creature and his skin starts to show signs of hypothermia. Ghaenk is also touched by two of the creatures who seem to not be stopped by his armor, but his wounds are less than Pratts' wounds, despite being hit twice.

Concerned by the number of undead, Nightfiend reaches out and places an enchantment on Vortex. "Vandool premanota" The summoners says as his hand bestows a protective shield in front of his Eidolon.

Rika realizing that Pratts is effectively blind calls out to the spirit of the bat to impart it's power within the raptor before ordering Pratts to get in a flanking position with the furthest undead (Acrobatics to get opposite blue).

Pratts is badly wounded due trying to outpass the zombie moments before Rika cuts it in half.

The withered human Malaika identified as a wight slams Ghaenk wounding it and absorving some of his vitality. So 1 temporary negative level

Nighfiend protects his Eidolon and Vortex bite and claws the wight until it falls dead to the ground.
