Alfred: you might have missed a closed bracket (]) so the system sees "roll d20 25d6 times". Or 100 d4s, might have had an extra zero. :)

The scenario landed in my hands today & tomorrow is the day. Here are a couple things that will be helpful.

Post daily or nearly daily. I only get one day off a week so you may not see a post from me on that day, but chances are good I will still be lurking. Quite often folks will be waiting for someone else to post, who is also waiting for them to post. If you check in one day and have nothing to add, no problem. If you check in the next day and still have nothing to add, please post to say as much. Use it as an RP post: casting spark for a fire wizard, polishing a ring for the master jeweler, a catchphrase if you have one. If you will be out for a while, please let me know.

If three people consent to an action, I will continue with that action. If the rest of the party REALLY didn't want something to happen I can back up or retcon. There is no reason two doors on the left and right should bring an advanced party of adventurers to halt.

Saves DCs will be in a spoiler. I want you to make the roll. If you have a reroll you can decide to use it before knowing the outcome and not have to wait a day.

I want players to roll initiative, but will post the opponent's initiative so if you beat it you can also post an action. This will again prevent waiting.

We will use google docs for maps, and I will provide a link in my avatar.

Please post DCs with spells, SLA, or other effects that require them. Please link obscure (non-core) spells or abilities for my convenience.

Please include defensive numbers (AC, immunities, CMD, Perception) in your profile. I do not need every detail in the short description, just those that will directly effect the NPC (re-) actions. Please make sure your profile is up to date. Unlike a face to face game, character audits will not take time from the game so I make them more frequently in PbP.

Please track consumables & post anything out-of-character longer than a couple lines in the discussion thread.

Please, Please, PLEASE ask me any questions you have. I cannae see your face to tell if you are struggling with something or not. No matter how small the question might seem I am happy to answer. (do you know what d20 stands for? I have answered that question in two of my last three games:) So please ask.

Now if you want to assume rank and lead the Hellknights and the mission I will roll with your RP to the best of my abilities, just keep in mind the scenario wasn't written that way. It will be fun to explore, as a GM, but please keep in mind the whole table. :)

To your second question, they are all from the Order of the Gate (as the scenario title alludes). On a related note, do the various orders respect each other's ranks? I relate this to an army captain serving on board a battle ship, she will follow the commander's orders unless they counter-dict her CO's orders. I do not know if that is a good analogy or not.

I don't see that Fatima ever told us that, DM. Ru has never encountered one of these before, so he'd try the Confusion bomb. If I missed a post tellign us about the creature, I'd happily retcon!

The Qlippoth has resistances to fire, acid, & electricity 10. Weakness would be to cold iron and lawful. For alistina's roll, I will add immunities: cold, mind affecting, and poison.

If you do not find your chronicle in your party's folder, please check the other folder. Please also double check that I filled everything out correctly. I did 15 of these and the chances of making a mistake are pretty good. I will take them down after I know everyone has gotten their chronicle, but if for some reason I do so before you get it, I have a copy on my local machine.

Thank you all for sticking through it. I apologize that you did not get the best game I as a GM am capable of. Taking on three tables (even with the same scenario), while playing in five others was too much. I was down to playing in only two by the end and I think the difference is telling. The county fair (my day job) was right in the middle of this so I will be sure to advertise that in next year's recruitment. Again thank you for playing.

I would be happy to run another table for y'all to make up for my poor performance. If you are interested please say so here. I will take a short break from GMing, but collect together those interested in a couple of weeks.

If you have any comments that would improve my GMing, thing that really sucked, things that were slightly suck, and things you like & really like are all welcome.

Someday I'll see a table abandon those hellknights. I think one of my local players played it at a con and said his table did the air temple instead. That's 1/4 tables I know of including this one. Its nice that the scenario actually contains a choice.
