Jerjia Nimburhombus
Seeing the flying dog disappear, Jerjia steps into the doorway and fills the foyer with a crackling arc of electricity, catching the witch in its web and making her hair stand on end. 5-foot-step to X 31; burning hands [electric substitution] 2d4 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 Reflex DC 15 for half-damage
Sir Herbert Atkins
I have no idea how I missed that Jerjia had posted. Sorry.....
The witch stands through the blast of electricity, simply hiding her face. Her clothes fizzle a little, but she is otherwise unaffected.
She points at Jerjia, and gives an ear piercing scream DC14 fort save, or be dazed for 4 rounds, also 1d6 ⇒ 2 sonic damage (halved if you make the save)
Nualia strikes out at Adonai again, but in her exhausted state, her swing completely misses.

AC 19 (22 vs Nualia); TAC 10; FFAC 19; CMD 16 (18 vs bull rush and overrun)

Adonai blocks with his shield and ducks the blow, riposting with a blow of his own.
Smite Power Attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Damage 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
"What what? In your face!"
Adonai Soldatovic
Adonia's sword slides gracefully through Nualia's naked midriff, as though it were sliding though water.
She gives a silent scream, her hands clutching at the flesh even as her eyes roll backwards in her head, and her knees give way. She slides off the sword, to a bleeding heap on the ground.
I'll use my move action to get from P 32 to R 28. I believe she is still in Q 28. If not, I will move to be adjacent to her.
Sir Herbert Atkins
Wits, yes, of course :)
The woman stares evilly at Adonia while he runs his hands over her body, but she doesn't fight or cause a fuss.
She carries a dagger, silver comb worth, fine silk comb worth, a small pouch of artefacts (hair, fingernail clippings, used handkerchiefs, and a pearl earring) and 3 pp
Her cloak is also surprisingly well made.
Also there is a small stone, covered in runes.
Wits Fizzlewick
Wits rushes back into the room, clearly expecting to find a massacre. He stops dead in his tracks when he sees the dead evil woman, as well as the angry captive witch. "Well! I am most overjoyed to find that my services as a bombardier were not necessary. My humblest apologies on fleeing the scene, but it would seem that my iron will is somewhat rusted. So, shall I search the dead woman?"
Wits moves to assist in the searching of the vile dead woman, taking some glee in the fact. Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Adonai Soldatovic
"No prob, Wits. It was an evil spell in the air. Catch!" Adonai swiftly divests the woman's possessions and tosses them casually in Wits's general direction. He then fondles the rune covered stone. "This is interesting."
K. Religion 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
"Now lady. Please explain that." Adonai points to the disfigured Nualia.
Intimidate 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Sir Herbert Atkins
The stone is is a rare thing, that certain religions and arcane texts speak of. It will release some sort of effect from the runes, if activated in the correct way. (It is effectively a scroll, but with a little spin)
"I know little enough of her, I have been working for her, for a matter of months only. I do not ask my employer for her life story. She claims to be a chosen one of her Goddess, Lamashtu, and that the claw was a gift from her. Myself, I think she was the focus of some experiment that drove her to madness. She paid well."

Poke Poke
I'm going to put together a post which should probably be quite long, and prompt some of the questions that *every* group I've run this for has forgotten to ask at by this point. I'll probably pop it onto Obsidian Portal too. That will hopefully be this afternoon. But I won't promise anything...

This year's Swallow Tail festival was to be a great celebration for Sandpoint. With the consecration, and opening of the new Cathedral, replacing the one that burnt down a few years ago, happening during the festival.
That wasn't to be though. Goblins attacked the town during the height of the celebrations, and through the quick thinking of a small group of individuals, no-one from the town was harmed. The goblins were run off, and everyone went back to their business.
Everyone, that is, except the fellows at the Glassworks. But a few days later, tragedy was discovered as yet more goblins killed all of the staff, and apparently lead by Tusto. Tusto died a quick death, and an old, abandoned dungeon which was discovered beneath the town was cleared, at quite some cost.
Tusto's journal lead to a further plot and more goblins at Thistletop, and a team of individuals made their way there to sort things out.
Now Thistltop is claimed, and the half-demon Nualia lies dead. The sole remaining survivor stands in front of you. Any questions?
Sir Herbert Atkins
Diplomacy? Intimidate? Which way do you want to go?
"How would I know that? I was paid to decipher writings" She waves her arm around her, "Not to get involved with the filth-stinking goblins, or mess of Sandpoint. Revenge? Goddess told her so?" she shrugs, her Ustalavi accent shining through with contempt.
Also, sense motive.
Wits Fizzlewick
"Perhaps instead of interrogating this prisoner down here, we could take her topside and back to the Sheriff? I'm sure the lawman is eager to return with his prize." Wits is clearly still a bit shaken by his hound-experience and eager to leave this accursed place behind.
"We should take the demon woman's body as well. Perhaps she is known in these parts?"
Sir Herbert Atkins
"Goblins, were no distraction simply not my business. Nualia wished revenge, and used goblins to achieve this. When she found this" she waves her arm around, "I as hired to decipher runes."
At Wits' remark, she shrugs. "Nothing have I done wrong. Take me where you will."
Wits, could I have a Knowledge religeon check to go with that perception?
Nualia's body has the following: breastplate (obviously very well made), bastard sword (also well made), medallion, masterwork composite longbow with 20 arrows, gold holy symbol, 7 pp, 5 gp

At Wits' remark, she shrugs. "Nothing have I done wrong. Take me where you will."
"That is where you are wrong. You colluded with an enemy of the citizens of Sandpoint and participated in an attack against a duly appointed deputy of the law and heroes of the people. But we will let the judge decide your guilt. But it will help your case if you tell us about these runes you are deciphering. If you are not finished, maybe some clemency might be in order if you agree to finish for us."
Adonai Soldatovic
"That sounds like a plan little man. But I am a little queasy at the thought of experimenting on her. I am sure that the sheriff will have an interest in her statement . Let's gather our things and leave thisnplace.. Adonai shrugs Nualia's body over his shoulder and makes ready to head back to town.
