Looking up at her mother, a warmth spreads through to her very soul. She stops in the hall and wrapping her arms around Miyuku she hugs her tightly, "I love you." Her voice cracks slightly as she spoke softly.
At fifteen it might not have been considered cool to hug your mom in public, but she didn't care right now. She was loved and she knew it.

Taro restrains himself from tampering with the game system, occupying his mind with calculations and reviewing footage gathered of the other contestants.
After the cab ride Taro turns to his teammate and asks. "So what's your name anyway?"

Miyuku wraps her arms around her daughter, enjoying the heartfelt embrace. Moments like this were worth abolutely everything, moments that reminded her that the blossoming young woman and deadly assasing standing in the hallway with her was still her little girl.
Her impulses might be digital, processing signals along an advanced neural net, her "heart" might not be a thing of muscle pumping blood, but all the same, she was fully capable of love, and she loved her daughter more than life itself.
After a few moments she steps back, giving Yamaneko's hand a squeeze and flashing her a smile before they step into the elevator headed for the lobby.
"Murimatsu. Kehanu Murimatsu. Yours?" He replied.
"Taro Yamamoto. Hajimemashite." Taro answers.
Someone in line gives Kehanu a glance as he mentions his name.
Tree smiles as Yama and Miyu return. "Ready then?"
"Yes we are," Miyuku says smiling, "Let's see what they have to eat around here."
Kehanu notices the person glancing wears a black tactical suit with a surprising patch on it. The patch depicts a hammer and has the words "Telemetry, Heuristics, Observation and Research" circling it.
Tree leads the way down the street to a small restaurant. You can smell meat, poultry and seafood cooking within.
Hmm, why would a THOR Operative have any interest in me? LOKI no longer exists. Best keep an eye on him. The man thought.
The line into the Cerulean continues to move slowly.
As they enter the restaurant, picking up the assorted smells of food, Miyuku tries to hide her grin as Yama's stomach growls again.
Picking a table away from the window she leads the small group to sit and await service.
A young waitress asks the Saitos and Tree what they would like and bows after taking their order.
"So, why did you come to the tournament, Miyuku? Ishida-sempai makes it seem like you were better off hiding," Tree asks in a low-voice, looking around the nearly empty restaurant. "I hate to be forward, but I'd rather have this out in the open than worry about whether one of us will stab the other in the back."
Self interest and curiosity prompt Taro to ask his new partner about hi combat abilities. "So suit, that pea-shooter isn't your only weapon is it?."
"Hiding, constantly moving. It isn't any real kind of a life." Miyuku says quietly, glancing sidelong at Yamaneko. "Being good at hiding doesn't mean that it's what you want to do for the rest of your life. It's no way to grow up."
She sighs.
"Doing something of this profile, it serves two purposes. We stand to benefit greatly from doing well, and if nothing else, it will finally answer the question of if I need to hide anymore, or is eveyone that was a danger in my past long in the ground."
"I'm not a suit, boy. Never have been." The man replied. Putting his hand on his pistol, he asked, "And what if it is?"
"That would be nice if you didn't," Tree says. "I don't think I have a second purpose beyond helping the children of my village. I know SPECTRAL still seeks me."
Taro shrugs. "Just calculating your chances of survival, suit."
"I've been around longer than you kid. I'd be more worried about your chances if I were you."
"Well we'll just have to make sure it's not worth the trouble to keep looking." Miyuku replies.
Tree nods as the group is served. He mutters a quick prayer and begins eating.
Yama sits quietly and lets the adults talk as she takes in the smells of the restaurant. She can't keep her stomach from growling loudly and by the time her meat and vegetables arrives, she barely restrains herself from digging into it so that Tree can pray. Once he's done praying she starts cutting up the meat and stuffing it in her mouth. She tries to remember what she was taught about eating out in public, but she's so hungry that she just can't help herself as she nearly inhales her food.
Tree laughs as Yamaneko eats. "Such spirit!"
She shrugs, and swallowing a mouthful of meat looks up at Tree. "I'm sorry, I just really love good meat. I eat like all the time because I'm in a growth spurt I think. Maybe I'll grow to be even bigger than Miyu-chan." She grins at Miyuku.
Finally, Taro and Kehanu makes their way into the hotel lobby, but still a few people ahead of them checking in. An obvious android girl stands to the side of the room, watching people.
Taking her time as she watches Yama eat she shakes her head laughing. "You just might Yama-chan, considering I have no idea where you manage to put it all."
She flexes her arms and then pats her belly, "Well, first it goes into my tummy and then it just kinda spreads out to give me more muscles." She giggles and takes another large bite of her food.
"Ah, mystery solved." Miyuku says with a smirk
Tree smiles at the exchange between the two sisters. He polishes off his meal with a hot tea. "Ah, that was good. I'll handle the payment."
He calls the waitress over and asks for the bill.
Yama finishes off her food as well as her strawberry milk and gives Tree a satisfied smile. "Ahhh...that was so tasty, thank you Tree. Hopefully now I can survive that boring ceremony. Maybe later we can get some ice cream?" She looks back and forth between Miyuku and Tree.
"I'd be untrue to myself if I said no," Tree says. "But it is up to your sister."
Yama looks at Miyuku with the biggest sad eyes she can, "Pleeeaaassee Miyu-chan, can we go for ice cream later? Pretty please? I won't complain about another single thing this whole trip, on my honor."
Taro's spydrone hovers near the android.
After making a sound similar to that of clearing ones throat, it asks. "<Hey there pretty lady, come here often?>"
<"Buzz off, Toaster,"> the android replies.
Grinning Miyuku shrugs, "Why not, this pretty much is a special occasion. But I'll hold you to that promise."
Not hurt in the slightest the drone says. <"Any time you need those buns toasted just give ol' Roshi a call.">
The android's eyes appear to roll. <"Ugh, drones...">
"Hold my place in line Suit, I've got to apologize for my stupid drones."
Taro approaches the android and scratches the back of his neck. "Sorry about that. This is what happens why you blow your budget before you've installed the AI."
Yama smirks back at Miyuku, "Alright then, it's a deal....but, if other people piss me off I can't promise I won't yell at them."
<"Amusing,"> the android replies dryly.
"We had better make our way to the opening ceremony," Tree says.
She nods and stretches before getting out of her seat. "I'm ready whenever you guys are."
"I don't suppose your in the tournament? or maybe..." Taro trails off. "You're one of those droids..."
<"Would you like to find out which it is?"> the android asks.
"If they deserve it, I have no objections." Miyuku chuckles.
"Yes we wouldn't want to miss anything." she says in response to Tree, getting up from the table.
Taro tilts his head. "I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to know."

The android touches the comm on its wrist, swipes through a couple of menus. With a finalizing beep, Taro's comm lights up. <"Chiyoko has challenged you to a fight at 0800. Do you accept?">
The android watches Taro intently.
